Has anyone noticed since 2.0.1 update that when you wake the phone up and don't unlock it the screen will go back to sleep much faster than it normally would if unlocked?

View 12 Replies View RelatedOkay so I seem to have a new sleep issue on 2.2. I also had this same issue with the leaked 2.2. This is what happens. My phone will be okay for maybe a day or even a day and a half. it also might occur after only a few hours. Phone will be sleeping fine and then all the sudden I notice my running time is increasing, even when the phone should be sleeping. Then the next day and every day after my running time is at 100% until I do a reboot on the phone. Here is the odd thing with this. If I go to partial wake usage there isn't anything there causing it. All the partial wake things are very small like they should be. With the GPS issue it was Android System that was causing the phone not to sleep and it was obvious. With this issue there is nothing showing in partial wake. I've also seen a few others post replies in certain threads with this issue. I've tried doing a wipe and starting over and that was last night. Within about 6 hours or so off the charger today the issue was already back. We also have another Droid X in the household and I took a look at it tonight and it's also running 100% since off charger and nothing really showing up in partial wake. I'd just like to see how many others are seeing this and hopefully someone can be smart enough to figure out what's causing it. I can't say for sure if I'm actually seeing a battery impact or not. Battery still seems decent to me. It's just very annoying knowing it's not working the way it's supposed to.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was playing around with my Nexus phone last week when I first got it. I was messing the screen sleep settings. I could have sworn there was option either associated with that or somewhere in the settings where it asked you how long it would take for the phone to lock the screen after it went to sleep.

MotoDroid 2.2. Since 2.2, the auto-rotate screen goes haywire from time to time. I normally use the vertical format, easier to type, but when it switches, not much screen left, and I have to go back and back to start over again.

Doesn't go off, but dims significantly until touched. I want it to do what I say, stay on whatever brightness setting I have while charging, period.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was having the waketime/sleeptime problem that many, many folks have reported and my battery life was obviously crap...and took forever to charge as has also been noted. I had already turned off all the auto-update stuff that I did when I first got the phone. Then I read the many posts abut Facebook app being the problem, but when I tried that it turned out that I was still running the old version 1.2, so apparently that wasnt causing it on my Evo.
Not really wanting to do a factory reset, I thought I'd check for other app updates in case one of the other apps had 2.2 bug fixes. Ran a sync thru the AppBrain app, and it found three updates that I hadnt been notified of:
Once those updates were completed, my EVO immediately starting going to sleep as it used to. I watched it for a few hours after the update and it continued to show realistic numbers for wake vs. sleep. My battery was almost depleted at this point, so I powered it off, and did the battery pull for good measure before powering back on and plugging in to charge during the night. This was all late Thursday night. All day Friday my battery performed VERY well...much better than even during 2.1. I had it on charge most of the day while listening to Pandora at my desk. I unplugged it to go home and now checking it this morning, it's now been off charge for 14h 39m, show wake time of 33:44 vs. sleep time of 15:28, and shows 80% battery remaining! This whole scenario makes me wonder if one of those three apps had a similar bug to Facebook. If you have those...you might want to take a closer look.
Is it possible to set the screen to turn off, let's say, after 2 minutes, but have the phone only lock after, let's say, 10 minutes.
During the day I am in and out of my contacts constantly and I am unlocking my phone too much! I just want it to lock after a preset time, not every time the device is turned off.
Sorry I couldn't find the answer in the forums. But the company I work for just got a slew of Moments. While trying to set it up for someone I noticed that hitting the power button doesn't lock the phone and you have to wait for the screen to timeout, and then it still is iffy when it locks. How do I manually lock the screen with out the time out? Hopefully someone can help me.

Is there a way to extend the time between total blackout and locking? Is there a way to turn off auto screen lock all together but keep the auto fade out and auto black out? I am always able to remember to manually lock the screen and the auto lock is annoying but I still like the power saving of the screen fade and black out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell if you use widget locker, and a security lock, Froyo Forces you to: Unlock widget locker lock screen, then undo the lock screen, then enter your security code. However with Android Eclair 2.1, there is an option to turn off the screen lock. From my understanding, if you had the lock-screen disabled when you do the update, it will remain disabled after the OTA. However there is no longer any way to enable it because Google removed the option. As most people would find that bad, it should allow me to use widgetlocker, and a security lock without having to unlock the screen twice. Or of course, just use widget locker, as I have no intention of going back to the stock lock screen.

View 39 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid X. I was previously employed by a company that used Exchange Server and Active Sync and I added my company email account to the Droid X. This forced me to use a 4 digit pin as required by the mail admin of the company. I no longer work for this company, and deleted the active sync account from my phone (and no longer have access to it by any means). The security settings for the PIN. When I check SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK the options, "None" and "Pattern" are grayed out and not selectable. When I look under SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY ->SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS the device administrator is listed a "Corporate Sync" and I cannot change or delete this.

Its getting annoying to have to press the power button and then have to deal with a lock pattern. Ideally I would like to press the button and go.
