How to do this?? I know on a BB it was possible to go onto lets say facebook.. take a picture of my girlfriend & I and post it as my background. Is this possible on the droid? & is it also possible to save it too?

Just got my new Droid X on Saturday, and started playing with it...first installing LauncherPro, and Beautiful Widgets.
Then I started to play with the camera taking pictures...I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to change the "save location" on the phone for when it takes the photos. I don't know whether the photos are being saved to the SD Card (like I WANT), or to the internal memory (which I don't!).
I just recently bought a Motorola Droid, and I was pretty shocked at how quickly the battery ran out of juice. I looked around on the net and found a tip that said to turn off the Background Data option, so I did that, but I find this to be a very convenient feature. I'm just wondering if there's some sort of app or widget that will let me quickly toggle the Background Data option on and off for a quick sync to push all of my stuff in whenever I want it.

Today I uploaded a photo with no problems but then I had to click the comment button for that picture and write the caption there instead of it being a part of the picture.Also is there a way to send more than one picture to someone via a picture text message if I choose multiselect?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed the latest Facebook app on my Droid today and found that it synced most of my contact photos beautifully. (I chose the second option: only to sync photos with my current contacts) However, one minor issue and two less minor issues:
- For one of my contacts, the picture didn't sync. Dunno why but I guess I can just add the photo manually.
- Another thing is weird. After making a call I've noticed that in my dialer's "favorites" tab, there is a contact who I am friends with on Facebook but whom I do not have the number for, nor whom I have ever called at all! This person keeps reappearing (with FB profile pic and email address) in my dialer app, but the person is not in my actual Google / Android contacts.
Any ideas on how to fix that latter issue? Whenever I delete this person's listing from the Favorites tab, they keep reappearing after I make calls (to other people) O_o
Oh, and since we're talking about the Facebook app..
- Is there any way for Facebook to use the Android notification system to let me know about any new FB notifications? As it is, I'll be on the computer and see some new notifications, but on my Droid I have to manually refresh notifications in the app before it knows about them. Kinda weird.
How does one update the facebook or twitter pic in the phone contacts? Several of my contacts have new facebook pics, but they are not refreshing on my phone.
Ive tried the menu button while in contacts, and I don't see a refresh button.
When I call out using Google Voice to someone and I have their contact info linked to their facebook it doesn't show their profile picture. Yet if I call them with my actual phone's number it shows the profile picture. Ditto when they call in. Anyone have a fix for this or is this Motorola's problem?

I have linked all my contacts with their facebook accounts but it still shows the default white picture. NOW that I did this, its loading all these midi, and mp3 files from games and apps that I have on my SD card, but not necessarily in my Music folder. Some aren't even easy to find, and require that you navigate like 5 folders just to find em.
Can I put music in mp3 format on my new droid straight from my hard drive?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this isn't news to any of you veterans, but this is my first android device so please bare with me. I'm using the facebook app and have noticed that neither the app itself or the widget show the actual facebook live feed or provide a way to access it....
Of course my next thought was "well what if I just use the facebook page in a browser window". Turns out that's not as simple as I thought! Apparently facebook not only has a mobile page, it also has a "touch" page that it likes to route you to. Neither the mobile or the touch facebook pages have a way to access the live feed either....
I have a couple of contacts that have only one number but for some reason it saves upto three times, it's very annoying when trying to text because it gives me the little box to select the one of the all same numbers. Please Help and Thank You in Advance!
