newbie to android but quick question on how to put everything that was on my micro sd from my storm to my droid x's phone memory so i can sell the 8gb sd card with the storm without any of the info on the card.

i am returning my droid and want to revert to stock. i am not rooted or anything and have empied the music and picture folders but dont know what folders are original and what are app related. also how do i remove all apps. also how do i remove my gmail account info.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my Eris today. I am trying to switch my pics and infor from my old Sd card (it was only 256MB) to the new one that came with the phone.
Also I cant seem to save any pics, or at least I cant find them. When I put the old SD in, I can see those ones, just not new ones.
I switched from a G1 to this. So far they seem pretty simliar, this is the only issue I am having. I love how much lighter this phone is. My G1 was way to bulky for me.
For some reason my phone randomly keeps putting my calls on hold for no reason, now i don't know if this is something i have done but its annoying has anyone come across this.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I updated by phone to android 2.2, and am having problems putting apps to the SD card. I have used ROM Manager to set a partition, and used App 2 SD to copy the Apps over, but it always fails. So I put a diffrent ROM on, and it does the same thing. So I decided it was time to get a bigger SD card anyway, so while I wait for it to arrive, I thought I would ask, is there anything I should do to either my phone, or the SD card before I put it in my phone or anything I should do to prepare it so I can get apps on my SD Card.
In my root settings (I think its root then you turn phone on and press the down button), in the partition section there what should the settings be? Also as I'm getting a 16gig card, having read bits on here by helpful posters who say I need to partition it to be 256 with a 0 swap file, as I will have more space, can I/should i increase this, and should I put a value for the swap file (what does this do?).

NOW that I did this, its loading all these midi, and mp3 files from games and apps that I have on my SD card, but not necessarily in my Music folder. Some aren't even easy to find, and require that you navigate like 5 folders just to find em.
Can I put music in mp3 format on my new droid straight from my hard drive?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI bought a 16gb Class 6 card to replace the 8gb card that came with the EVO. I put some music/photos from my PC onto the new card and stuck it in the EVO. Everything seemed to go ok, but when I went to use the camera, it showed a black screen with what i think was a pic of an SD card for about a second then just closed the camera app and went to the home screen. Was I supposed to copy anything from the old card to the new one or do anything else before I switched? I just put the stock 8gb card back in the EVO for now until I figure out what I'm supposed to do.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC incredible 2 days ago. When I first got it it had no sd card, so i went back to the store and the guy gave me one. But even after putting the sd card in the device the device still doesnt recognize it. When I go to the settings and click on sd card and phone storage under sd card it says, total space: unavailable, available space: unavailable. this is a major problem cause now i cant download files or use several applications or features. ive tried taking it out and putting it back in, restarting the phone, and formatting the sd card to no avail. i'm no tech expert, but pretty tech savvy. This problem, though, has me pulling my hair out. it seems like a lot of ppl have been having the same problem, but no one has any answer that seems to be working. im going to the store tomorrow to see if its a problem with the sd card, but wanted to check if it was a problem with the phone or if anyone else has had the same problem.

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy wife brought up a good point the other day. In case of emergency, my phone couldn't be used to identify myself, or be used to contact her. This seems to be a major oversight on Googles part. When locked, all you can do is dial a number from the emergency screen. There is no option to call someone listed as an emergency contact. Leaving my phone unlocked is not an option.

I am having rare stability issues with Flyx / Tranquility on 2.3.9. I never went past this update/combination.
Im thinking if going to 2.2 OTA and rooting seeing as though it seems like no work is being done on cracking the stock bootloader. I know it is, but we haven't gotten any info from anyone lately. What are you guys doing?
In a current thread, a forum member asked if there was a way to disable data. Putting my search skills to the test, I found the method ... and a whole lot more. This is really cool stuff. (I thought it was worthy of it's own thread.)
- Open dialer
- Dial *#*#4636#*#*
- Tap on 'Phone Information'
- Press Menu button
- Tap on More
- Tap Disable data connection (Or, Disable data on boot.)
Simply reverse the steps to re-enable your data connection either immediately, or after your next reboot. There's a whole lot more to checkout while you in there.Just be careful.You don't want to screw up anything.
