Motorola Droid X :: OTA Update To Version 1.13.604.en.US
Jul 27, 2010I just got my Droid X yesterday, I just now got an OTA update to version 1.13.604.en.US. I think it's odd, that's still 2.1-update1. What gives?

View 6 RepliesMy set CPU won't update to the new version on market I had a different app do this and I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to fix it. I'm hesitant to do that for this app cause its a paid app and I don't want to pay twice to reinstall it. Any ideas to fix this would be great.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a question on how to change icons back to the theme version after an app update. So after an app updates it changes back to the stock icon. Can I just reapply the theme and get the icons back to the themed version or do I have to wait until the dev updates the theme?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently updated my phone to 2.2 using the new 2.2 SBF. My phone is running great now after fresh install. I thought the SBF would flash a new bootloader version like the OTA. I think the OTA is 30.03 that changed signatures preventing downgrading. Anyway after I flashed the new SBF I looked at the bootloader version and it was still 30.01. Dose anyone have any info on this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe OTA downloaded but failed to install on my X running rooted 2.1 and nextheme. No apps deleted or other mods of any kind. I removed the theme and decided to go with the leaked version rather than deal with new restrictions on the OTA. I tried installing the stock 2.2 version in rom manager and it failed. I wiped the phone and rerooted and installed bootstrap and rom manager then tried again and it failed. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

View 42 Replies View RelatedI'm a lil torn here, so I figured I'd pose the question to my Droid brethren. I absolutely loved xScope until recently. It was the fastest and the I was very comfortable with the layout and the one finger zooming. But the whole update to the trial version just really ruined the experience. Is it wrong for a Dev to make an app paid, no, not at all. But with so many free browsers to choose from, why couldn't you just put out a donate version?
I had Dolphin HD already for downloading files as it seems to be the most reliable, but never really used it for surfing. And now I know why. It's the most annoying browser I've ever used. I hate having to scroll to the top of the page to change tabs, it's slower (even with their Fast Browser addon), and that stupid menu thing that keeps getting in my way when I scroll to the right is the stupidest feature I've ever seen.
I'm currently using Skyfire, but the app just closes on me way too much. I've never tried Opera, so I guess I'll have to give it a go. What say you?
Im just wondering what software version everyone has on their phone. Mine is 1.13.516. I know .514 is the oldest then .516 and .604 is supposed to be the most recent. Does anyone have .604?
If you want to look it up go to Menu>Settings>About phone>System version.
Hopefully just a mini emergency. Last I knew I was still running the original .9 leaked 2.2 froyo update. Tried installing bootstrap to upgrade to TBH's leaked .15 update and now my phone is stuck in the boot cycle the first time I tried booting in bootstrap recovery. I pulled the battery and tried booting into recovery, wiped cache and data, still can't get my phone to boot. Searched to see how to remove the bootstrap through adb to no avail. Figured it would just be easier to sbf, but remembered that was bricking a lot of people. Checked my bootloader and I'm on 30.01, but can't remember which version bootloader works with sbf. I found that 2.2 official OTA upgrades the bootloader to 30.03, but I'm still really afraid to sbf without confirming I'll be ok.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAll credit for this animation release goes to Fab, I just made all the images about 20% smaller in file size (not dimensions). The best place in my opinion for boot animations is data/local. This allows you to keep your stock boot animation in place if you ever decide to delete this new one. The system looks here first anyway for the animation file, then in the system folder. Also if you flash a new rom, and don't wipe data, it should stay in place.

Okay so I rooted a few months ago, and installed a baked FroYo ROM from MoDaCo. However I want to update it to a later version. My question is this:
Since I've already rooted, and can use Hboot, can I simply copy the new zipped ROM to my SD Card, and install it through Hboot, or do I have to do through the whole rooting path again?
I'm currently running the CM6 rom on my DINC, and I guess I forgot to update my baseband version, which is preventing me from using WiFi, and my camcorder function. So I downloaded the baseband update.zip, and put it on the root of my microSD, formatted in fat32 btw. Hboot detects the update.zip, but for whatever reason can't install it. When I go into ClockworkMod Recovery, and choose the apply sdcard:update.zip option, after 'Writing RDL/BP image..." I get the error "E:Error in /sdcard/update.zip (status 0) Installation aborted".

I bought a new HTC hero last week, but I'm not sure if I need the "ROM version 2.73.405.5 update" available of the HTC website?? My build number is 1.76.405.6 , is that the old one?
If so, how do I back all my data? Do I need to take out the memory card before updating? And I also have a contract i.e. pay monthly, so do I need to take out the sim card because on the website it says: "This is a generic software update. Any additional software or settings provided by your mobile operator or company will be lost. If you require this customization, please contact your supplier first before upgrading."
I am new to Android development. I am using a x-platform development tool which builds and signs the APK for me. This tool has a bug and it does not generate APK's with the version code I specify, all APK's generated are version 1.0.
I would like to unpack the APK, edit the version code, and then resign and repackage it. It was signed using my keystore originally, so I have the keys needed to sign it again. How can this be done?
Just to give you heads up - there's new version of FB app on the Market with Inbox this time, but keep away until they'll fix the FC bug as most people (including myself) seem to have it.
