HTC Hero :: How To Transfer Apps From One Memory Card To Another?

Quick question. at the moment I've got a 2gig memory card in my hero, but it's starting to get really full so was thinking of ordering myself an 8gig, however, how do i transfer all my apps etc from one memory card to another as i don't fancy reinstalling everything.

Would anybody know how I can transfer my apps to my SD card? I am unrooted FYI-(all factory settings) I have the Astro filemngr...how the heck do i transfer my apps to SD so my OS wont be bogged down(won't this action help my phone w speed??) my mDroid tells me that "space" is limited,"isn't that b/c I have not put those apps on my card. Do they automatically load NOT on my card.

I now have a Moment. next week I'm getting an EVO. my question is this. can I take the sd card from the Moment and transfer the Apps I have saved to the EVO and use them on the EVO ...... or do I have to re download all of the Apps from the market again? I have them all backed up with "on the Fly Backup"

I want to know how to transfer apps to SD card. When I go to settings/manage applications, the Move to SD button is blacked out. For the record, to go back stock all I have to do is plug my phone in, flash 2.0.1 with RSDlite and download the OTA. right?? I mean when VZW puts out the real 2.2, I assume if I went to that I would be at a disadvantage? I see a lot of people with the processor speed on their home page. How do I get that there? Any good free mp3 apps out there?

I bought a samsung galaxy xcover 2 2 weeks ago, and i realized that theres nothing to do to transfer/download straight to sd card. I called to Samsung support in finland and they said that i have to format the sd card and after that you can transfer some very few applicatoins to sd card but however i have not managed to transfer even one application. I have tried app2sd and searched around the internet in order to find some way to transfer apps to sd card. I found from youtube some kind of way, but there was like downloading some program to computer and then connecting the sd card and phone separately to computer and then giving some commands to computer and copy and cut and clicking thousands folders and some more stuff i didnt really understand the whole thing was really complicated. I am starting to be really frustrated for this problem or whatever it is, its just stupid to even put this kind of faulty "function" to any kind of smart phone. In every other way samsung galaxy xcover 2 is very excellent and easy to use, but i think transfering apps to sd is very important function/tool. How to transfer apps to sd in Samsung galaxy xcover 2.

When I purchase a new SD card, what is the easiest way to transfer everything to the new card? Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? I am also curious how to backup the entire device prior to the 2.0 update coming. It seems like the 2.0 update will require flashing the phone. I assume it will erase everything? I wonder if sprint will provide an easy way to "upgrade" to 2.0 without losing everything on the phone.

It's my first time here and i received my new Hero (or T Mobile G2 Touch) yesterday so sorry if i'm asking a dumb question! I put the micro SD from my old phone into the Hero and as it's full up i was hoping to transfer some of the files onto the phone using the internal memory, but i cannot find a way of doing this. Also now that the card is full i am unable to take new photos cos there is no space for them to be stored. Do i have to do something to access the internal memory?

So I was told by a Sprint rep that if the phone memory gets below about 80 MB then the phone will start to lag. Well I can't seem to delete enough stuff to get back above 80 MB available memory, I deleted pics, texts messages and various apps that I would have liked to keep. I started playing with my wife's phone which has more apps then mine, I checked her available phone memory and she has 102 MB!!! I can't figure out what I could have on my phone memory that would be taking up over 20 MB of space. Where can I look to try and figure this out? My wife's phone is very zippy and quick, while my phone waits forever when switching apps.
Also, How do I transfer pics I have taken on my phone to the SD card instead of using phone memory?

so I was cleaning out some old back ups and dummy me I deleted the whole damn card.

went back in and made my android back up right away...

so will I have to go and reload all the apps?

will this affect my Zen root or android?

phone seems to work fine after reboot. other than i lost all my pics, but those are on facebook.
