Dec 11, 2009I just got my Eris today. I am trying to switch my pics and infor from my old Sd card (it was only 256MB) to the new one that came with the phone.
Also I cant seem to save any pics, or at least I cant find them. When I put the old SD in, I can see those ones, just not new ones.
I switched from a G1 to this. So far they seem pretty simliar, this is the only issue I am having. I love how much lighter this phone is. My G1 was way to bulky for me.

Jul 15, 2010I currently have the droid and have had to do a factory reset several times for trying out different programs and unfortunately been stuck on a force closure loop. When I did the factory reset google had all of my purchased apps saved, I had to re-download them all of course. I'm pretty sure that it would transfer over to a new phone but that is only an assumption, I was hoping one of you guys with waaaaaaay more tech and computer smarts would be able to confirm this for me.

For the record, to go back stock all I have to do is plug my phone in, flash 2.0.1 with RSDlite and download the OTA. right?? I mean when VZW puts out the real 2.2, I assume if I went to that I would be at a disadvantage? I see a lot of people with the processor speed on their home page. How do I get that there? HTC Droid Eris :: Transfer Paid Apps To New Phone?
Mar 4, 2010I stepped on my first Eris (don't ask) and had to get a replacement through Asurion. Well, I thought when I got my new phone I would be able to redownload all the apps I had purchased but I cant. The Market wants me to pay for them all again. I guess the market tracks you specifially with your phone, not your account. So I called Verizon, of course they were no help. The chick didn't even try to help, I asked her if I could get those apps back and she stalled for a second like she really didnt know but also didnt want to take the time to find out, then she said NOPE. I was like man, that sucks, she said YEP! That was the end of the conversation. Surely there is a way for me to get these apps back without paying for them again? I know they are inexpensive but when you have 10 or so they start to add up! Not to mention I had my first phone for less than a month and hardly got to enjoy the apps I purchased. I've thought about emailing the dev's but dont know if thats a good approach or not.

Jul 12, 2010My wife brought up a good point the other day. In case of emergency, my phone couldn't be used to identify myself, or be used to contact her. This seems to be a major oversight on Googles part. When locked, all you can do is dial a number from the emergency screen. There is no option to call someone listed as an emergency contact. Leaving my phone unlocked is not an option.

Motorola Droid X : Still Waiting On Bootloader Info Before Going OTA?
Oct 2, 2010So is anyone still waiting on progress to be made on the bootloader before going OTA? With root of course
I am having rare stability issues with Flyx / Tranquility on 2.3.9. I never went past this update/combination.
Im thinking if going to 2.2 OTA and rooting seeing as though it seems like no work is being done on cracking the stock bootloader. I know it is, but we haven't gotten any info from anyone lately. What are you guys doing?

Feb 4, 2010In a current thread, a forum member asked if there was a way to disable data. Putting my search skills to the test, I found the method ... and a whole lot more. This is really cool stuff. (I thought it was worthy of it's own thread.)
- Open dialer
- Dial *#*#4636#*#*
- Tap on 'Phone Information'
- Press Menu button
- Tap on More
- Tap Disable data connection (Or, Disable data on boot.)
Simply reverse the steps to re-enable your data connection either immediately, or after your next reboot. There's a whole lot more to checkout while you in there.Just be careful.You don't want to screw up anything.
