I'm on Droid 2.2 and whenever I slide my finger to switch screens, it takes so long for my Droid to slide to the next screen. When if finally does slide over, I see the apps/icons appearing slowly.

Rooted Motorola Droid 1 running UD8. Having trouble with my apps that are on the SD card not appearing using LauncherPro. Getting to be very frustrating. Appears that LauncherPro loads faster than the SD apps. I have been successful in "Restarting" LauncherPro in the "Setting, Preferences" tab. When LauncherPro restarts the apps are then their for use. This does not happen very often when I aas I go on. Very, very frustrating to have apps on Droid and not being able to use them. Any help will be appreciated. Ready to move on to something else if I cannot get a working runnaround. This is what the window with the SD card apps that do not work looks like. This is the message I get when I try to use one of the SD card apps. This is what it looks like when I go into "Menu, Applications" to look at my apps. Stays this way forever. This is what it looks like when I try to move an app. Never changes.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm new to rooting. If I wanted to change my rom, is there a way to backup ALL of my apps (some of them didn't come back) and my screen setup and icons? I have a lot of custom icons and it was a pain to set it all up again with desktop visualizer.Or is there a better way to set certain icons as defaults to programs?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was testing some apps that can move to the SD card. They move fine and run. After reboot i notice 2 things.
1. Icons i had on the home screen default to a generic droid icon similar to the market place icon. The apps original icon is gone.
2. Apps moved to the SD card disappear from the programs app try Is this just a bug with all 2.2 roms?
from my "root" folder i create. the only app that stays on the folder is astro (which does not require root). even if not on a folder, my root apps disappear from any of my home screens. no problems w/ them in the app drawer. running bb v.0.3 but had this problem since bb 0.1.

Raging Thunder game Theres a pt.2 but aso not available. More icons paid Latest swype. to name a few. is there anyone else that has this prob? I emailed an app dev, about this issue and he replied "for some reason your phone doesnt allow you to list copy protected apps after updating." then suggested i contact market/google support. i went to the link and no email. just a link to FAQ. Maybe this supposed 2.1 official from htc leak isnt the %100 complete version. If so oh well, there would be a rom updated for that one as well if thats the case. I am pretty satisfied w/ the currrent build. I think its great.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had 4-5 apps so far do this to me, and every once in a while another app does the same - instead of displaying its proper name, like ChompSMS or wpToGo, the name would switch to the Java version, such as com.p1.chompsms or com.roundhill.androidWP.wpAndroid.
The name change occurs globally - in the app list, widget names, even the displayed name when I start the app. The only place where the names stay OK is the Market.
These changes don't happen after an update - just randomly but once they happen, they stay.
Some other apps include VoiceCallerID and Mystique Chapter 1.
WTF is going on with my phone?
Seems that when I create a new text message and try to start typing a contact name, not all of my contacts appear. It seems random. I have tried restarting but say I have a Peter and Paul in my phone, if I type a P it might only show me Paul and not peter. Usually, is the same names that never show up they never appear or disappear. I'm not rooted and I have done nothing nefarious with my phone that may cause this.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently dl'd google scoreboard... my buddy at work recommended it. He has incredible too. The icons didn't fit properly and some text on bottom was cut off so I told him it was crap. He showed me his incred and the app looked fine. I then tried all my apps and noticed that a bunch of games I haven't played in weeks were now showing up with this zoomed in look.... others work/fit flawlessly. These games did work fine previously. I'm assuming some other app is to blame but have no idea how to go about it.

There is no uninstall button, nor can I find it in /system/app or /data/app. It does not appear in Titanium Backup either.

I have just had my hero/g2 back from tmobile uk after the earpiece broke they have fixed it and done a software upgrade.but i have lost everything and i mean everything.used my backup pro to back everything up and now says my trial has run out and when i try to buy the pro version it cant find it on the market.how do i get all my paid apps back??when i search for the paid apps they dont show up in the marketplace (i have tried my downloads and nothing is there)
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy family has got three android phones, an HTC Hero, a Samsung Galaxy, and a T-Mobile Pulse, all are running android 1.5 with the latest manufacturer firmware. On the T-Mobile Pulse, when searching for a couple of apps (ones that I have installed on the other two devices), I get returned 'no matches'. For example, if I search for 'BrightAI', which is a developer who has around 8 apps on the market, I get no matches. If I search for individual apps, I get 'no matches'. Searching for the same on either the Hero or Galaxy returns the expected results. Does anyone have any ideas why certain apps are accessible on one device, but not the other?

Specifically, I am looking for Launcherpro beta and Adobe Reader. If I find them in androidzoom and scan the barcode its not there either. Short of rooting my phone to install market enabler, is there anything else I can do ?? Or are these not appearing because they won't run on 1.6 ?

The two by martetrut and the casino one. I tried searching my phone for any trace of these apps and found nothing other than their appearance on this list.
Today, I looked at my list and now more mystery apps have appeared, with another app by that martetrut dev.
I downloaded lookout and Norton and ran several scans and they didn't pick up anything.... I'm a little concerned.

I've been hovering on the "Let's see you UI" thread for the last day or so. Really liking the icons some of you guys are showing. But everyone seems to being using Better Cut or Dxtop or something other than the standard UI. My questions.
1. If I download the above apps, do I loose Sense?
2. If yes to above, is there a way to use these cool icons on the standard UI so I can keep Sense?
So I'm running eris 2.1 v3, and I've had a overheating problem since I've taken the leap and stopped using a task killer. Now every single time i charge my phone, it will charge extremely slowly and overheat to as high as 133 degrees. I'm assuming that the problem is apps running after i believe I've closed them (closed by menu->close, or the back button until homescreen) but i thought that the apps end up closing themselves, am i doing something wrong?

The is a tower a half a mile down the road from me, and at random times the Eris will say I have no service. But I know it's not just the tower because I still don't get service randomly at places it's usually fine.

I must of hit a button to clear them when I looked away for a second. Then I went to my settings and the apps are all still on my phone they just arent appearing on my all apps menu. View 5 Replies View Relatedi am having a slight problem that just started happening this morning when i turned my phone on..I saw that i had a text and the little smile voice bubble appeared like normal in the notification panel but also an envelope (NOT email) also appeared..i clicked the smile icon to bring me straight to the text and that went away like it was supposed to, but the envelope would not go away..anyone know how to get this "unread message" icon to stop coming up and just have the smile bubble come up again.
