HTC Droid Eris :: Owned Apps Not Appearing In Market After 2.1 Upgrade

Is there another thread that addresses this issue? If so sorry to take up space. but some apps that i paid for arent appearing on market after flashing the lates 2.1 roms. Raging Thunder game Theres a pt.2 but aso not available. More icons paid Latest swype. to name a few. is there anyone else that has this prob? I emailed an app dev, about this issue and he replied "for some reason your phone doesnt allow you to list copy protected apps after updating." then suggested i contact market/google support. i went to the link and no email. just a link to FAQ. Maybe this supposed 2.1 official from htc leak isnt the %100 complete version. If so oh well, there would be a rom updated for that one as well if thats the case. I am pretty satisfied w/ the currrent build. I think its great.

Had a quick question - Did the update yesterday morning with no issues other than I can not find some of the apps I used prior to the upgrade. I can find them in the market, but when I try to use my phone to download, it can not find them. Note: I used Astro to back up most of my apps on the phone, these couldn't be backed up since they were marked private. And they didn't display in my downloads either after the upgrade. Digital Clock Widget: Silent Time: If I use my friends phone (same version prior to my upgrade), no problem finding these apps. Suggestions? I could always downgrade back to the previous version, but I was having some freezing issues that I hope this upgrade fixed...

There are some apps that aren't appearing in the market. Setting Profiles Full. I have paid for the full version of this app and now i can't download an update because it's not showing up.2) Launcherpro Not pearing in market. Is there a way to install these files some other way, not going through market? Why are they missing?

My family has got three android phones, an HTC Hero, a Samsung Galaxy, and a T-Mobile Pulse, all are running android 1.5 with the latest manufacturer firmware. On the T-Mobile Pulse, when searching for a couple of apps (ones that I have installed on the other two devices), I get returned 'no matches'. For example, if I search for 'BrightAI', which is a developer who has around 8 apps on the market, I get no matches. If I search for individual apps, I get 'no matches'. Searching for the same on either the Hero or Galaxy returns the expected results. Does anyone have any ideas why certain apps are accessible on one device, but not the other?

Between looking around here and on androidzoom, I found a couple of apps I want. Problem when I use myphone to access the market, it says that they aren't there. Specifically, I am looking for Launcherpro beta and Adobe Reader. If I find them in androidzoom and scan the barcode its not there either. Short of rooting my phone to install market enabler, is there anything else I can do ?? Or are these not appearing because they won't run on 1.6 ?

Just manually upgraded to the 2.1 OTA from stock 1.5. Did a factory reset prior to upgrade. Everything seems to be working fine except that I get this error message when trying to install any app:
Installation error: Insufficient storage available
When I check the phone storage settings I see this:
SD Card: 7.39GB total space - 7.27GB available space
Internal phone storage: 136MB
Also, I'm noticing that the "Format SD Card" option is greyed out.

Over the last few weeks I tried to download or upgrade apps but it always fails. I always get the message: "Download was unsuccessful please try again". When I go to the android market and look at the help front page there is a link called "Download Issues Troubleshooting page". The fix described in here does not work for my phone.How do I make my phone work properly again.Also, I am on Android 1.6 but I cannot upgrade to 2.2. The PC Companion says that I have an up to date phone.

I'm running 2.1 v2 ... yes v3 is out now but I just BARELY got my phone all sorts of set up how I want it seems like v3 leaked right as I got done, Eff.Anyways, here's a quirky little issue. There are some apps that I cannot find in the market that use to be there in 1.5, whats with that?.. although there are some apps in the 2.1 market that are there that never were there in 1.5, like bluetooth file sharing app, Torque bluetooth vehicle engine diagnostics, etc.Looking for skype in the market, it's nowhere to be found from what I seen on the vzw moto - Droid commercial, it's suppose to be there. There's a few apps that I can't think of at the moment that I know are in the market but don't show up on the market of my phone since I updated it,is anyone else experiencing something like that?

Is there anyone that knows how to contact the m:" " dev to generate a certificate (or whatever is needed for the droid eris on 2.1) non of the m: apps are showing up in the market and I really miss playing vampires and racing.I even have tried using appbrain to sync the app but since it works off the market it just disappears when it shows up for the install. Any thoughts here on how to get these apps working on a 2.1 Eris?

So I downloaded the OTA update today without a hitch. I went to the Market today to finally download Pac-Man and maybe de Blob, but they're both missing. No big. I tried to do a search for them and...they aren't there. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

The subject says it all. Market downloads and updates fine with wifi off, hangs forever with wifi on. I've seen other threads on this but no answer. I've had this issue non-rooted, and rooted.

Not sure if anyone has noticed or if its just my phone.Im running the OTA2.1 rooted with the Aloysius Rom(has happened with other roms also) and it seems like every app that i have installed through Astro Manager doesnt show/update in the market.is anyone else having this problem whether your phone is stock or rooted?

Rooted Motorola Droid 1 running UD8. Having trouble with my apps that are on the SD card not appearing using LauncherPro. Getting to be very frustrating. Appears that LauncherPro loads faster than the SD apps. I have been successful in "Restarting" LauncherPro in the "Setting, Preferences" tab. When LauncherPro restarts the apps are then their for use. This does not happen very often when I aas I go on. Very, very frustrating to have apps on Droid and not being able to use them. Any help will be appreciated. Ready to move on to something else if I cannot get a working runnaround. This is what the window with the SD card apps that do not work looks like. This is the message I get when I try to use one of the SD card apps. This is what it looks like when I go into "Menu, Applications" to look at my apps. Stays this way forever. This is what it looks like when I try to move an app. Never changes.

I'm on Droid 2.2 and whenever I slide my finger to switch screens, it takes so long for my Droid to slide to the next screen. When if finally does slide over, I see the apps/icons appearing slowly.

I'm running Evil Eris 2.0.1, and about 20 mins ago I plugged in my phone and it says debugging is enabled, but the USB options screen, with mount, charge, etc. didn't appear. What I was doing was trying to get the eclair lock screen, so I had installed the .zip through the restore screen. When I rebooted, I could no longer see the screen. I tried removing startup manager, which people said caused problems, but still it didn't work. I restored to a nandroid backup from before the lock screen change and that didn't work. I'm restored to an earlier backup when I knew everything worked and when I boot, debugging comes up but the usb options do not.

I haven't seen anything quite like this and am unable to identify this issue on the open forums here so thought I would reach out. I do apologize if I missed it somewhere so if its out there please feel to direct me there.Picked up the HTC Eris about 2 weeks ago. I've started noticing a very strange issue as of last week. Using the stock messaging app I keep all my text strings with my various contacts. So let's say I have 7 different text strings in there now all from 7 different people. Now, for whatever reason, If I receive a new text message from a new person it will throw that new person's text into an existing text string of one of the other contacts rather than creating its own separate text string. Make sense? Just mixes it in there. So for instance, If I have a previous string from me to my wife it will throw a new text from my mom into my wife's existing text string. If I attempt to reply to that text sent from my mom that went into my wife's text string then my wife will receive the message. And its totally random. I've noticed this with 3 different contacts. So its just not one specific contact. And its literally like 6 or 7 people. Its not like I have a huge backup of text messages.
Now as I've mentioned its only about 2.5 weeks old. I don't throw alot of apps on there (I think I have 6) and I've rebooted this thing twice. I've taken it to Verizon and the guy there didn't know what to make of it. Said I might have a defective phone or possibly try a factory reset. He also mentioned waiting for the update and if its not corrected by then I can get an Eris replacement. Anyway, I wasn't ready to switch it out yet cause I love this phone and am hoping someone out there has maybe seen this issue and maybe can tell me what the heck is going on. Thanks in reading this and I look forward to any possible suggestions.

Since the 2.1 update, the Market takes FOREVER to open anything. Whether it's just as the app opens, when I go into Downloads, or if I click a new app and try to look at screenshots. I just don't remember it being this slow.

I have an application published in the Android Market. Its target is 1.6 and its minSdkVersion is 1.5. The only persmission it uses is INTERNET. My Manifest file looks like this: I recently got an email from a user saying the application doesn't show up in the Market on an HTC Wildfire. I looked it up and the Wildfire is a QVGA (LDPI, 240x320) device running Android 2.1. The app does appear for MDPI and HDPI devices. Also, I can start up a QVGA 2.1 emulator and install the application without any problems.

I am developping (for my company) an app included on a project that will have 2 versions:
- 1st simple version to download using a OTA server, clients accesss to an URL to download.
- 2nd version more complex to be published on the Market.
The question here is that the process to publish on the Android Market is under bureaucratic internal process and it takes a long time, so the idea do reduce the time to market is to provide an OTA version.
There is any possibility for users that download application via OTA to upgrade the application for version published later on the Market? (Both Application will be signed with the same key).

I have seen a lot of posts saying that people once they rooted they lost access to some of the apps they had with android 1.5.This is an HTC hero rom that was ported over to the eris that I am running right now. With this rom which is running 2.1 you will get access to the protected apps on the market (the apps that come up missing). Read the known bugs section though. Included is an app that circumvents the power down hang and I actully like using it more then shutting down the phone the convential way hope this helps. People running eris with 2.1 don't have access because it has not been officially released yet. I had an edited png for the market icon in the vending apk but when I applied my edited png's to Ivans rom with the market fix it seems to have changed the icon back to the original market Icon. When I first loaded the rom it showed my edited png for the market icon but after my first reboot it seems to change the icon back to the original. I assume that the market is updating upon reboot so I pulled the vending apk off my phone and my edited png's are still there but its still showing the original market icon. Anybody else with an edited market icon notice this or any ideas of why its going back to original? I have tried this a couple times and it always updates after first reboot...

Apple Investigating iOS4 on iPhone 3G Woes
