So when I'm on a call, during the call I keep hearing an ongoing Beeep in the background. It's loud, distracting, and annoying. This began happening after the 2.2 update. Otherwise, everything is working ok. It's possibly a timer, or something, how can I shut if off...

My HTC Magic was working well for the first two months. But now I can not hear anything when I receive or make a phone call. I checked and it is not in the Silent Mode. I can use the speaker phone to make calls. Can someone help me as the phone is useless now.

Received a call this morning and I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. Several more incoming calls and the same issue. Then I made some calls...I could hear the person but they could not hear me. Finally turned phone off and back on and it is now fine. Mute was not on.....anyone know what this could be?

I went to my home screen, clicked menue, then settings.
I went to notification settings then to notification sounds. There is not a silent! I don't know how to make this sound go away!
I tried installing the "Missed Call" app, hoping that I could override the default settings on my phone, but it doesnt. Now I have two missed call notifications.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI wrote about this earlier, I had an issue when making a call the screen stays off and I cannot access the keypad or anything while on a call when I remove the phone from my ear. I had this happen again today, but noticed it went away when I took the call indoors. This seems to be an issue when I make a call outdoors, maybe it is the bright sunlight, but the screen refuses to come back on when i am on a call outside. I had to use the keypad to make selections on a call today but was unable to since the screen stayed off. Have others noticed this happening in bright light calls outside? Also, what can be done to correct this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedNot sure how to fix this, but several times when I make a call and try to end it, the screen stays off and I cannot hit the END CALL button. This has happened a few times when I dialed the wrong number and wanted to just end the call before it connected, but when I flipped the phone back over from my ear it stayed off and the call kept going. Also, sometimes it will flash on for an instant then go back off again, still cannot end the calls.

It's not really a beep, but I couldn't think of another way to describe it in one word. What I'm hearing every once in a while during a call is the sound you'd hear if someone on a land line would press a button on their phone during the call.
Is anyone else having this issue? I know I've had phones in the past that will beep every x minutes during a phone call, but that setting could be turned off. I KNOW I do not have a call/text/etc waiting when this is happening, or any other update, etc. from an app.

There is a beep tone when u end a call..
which was played through the main external speaker instead of phone earpiece speaker..
what can be the exact reason that causes it...
can it be as simple as a setting some in some xml file?
also its not some .ogg file in /media/ui or some place else...its some network tone i guess
My sprint hero makes a vary annoying beep whenever a call is ended.
