I've just noticed that when I end a call on my Desire about 2-3 seconds later I get this annoying single beep. I've had the phone about 2 months now and i'm sure it didnt do it from new. I think it's come from a app i've removed and its left something behind but I could be wrong. I've tried putting the phone on silent but the beep is still there.

Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)

It's not really a beep, but I couldn't think of another way to describe it in one word. What I'm hearing every once in a while during a call is the sound you'd hear if someone on a land line would press a button on their phone during the call.
Is anyone else having this issue? I know I've had phones in the past that will beep every x minutes during a phone call, but that setting could be turned off. I KNOW I do not have a call/text/etc waiting when this is happening, or any other update, etc. from an app.
Just recently my Incredible has started to beep once after I end a call. Does anybody else hear this beep when you end a call? how to disable it?

There is a beep tone when u end a call..
which was played through the main external speaker instead of phone earpiece speaker..
what can be the exact reason that causes it...
can it be as simple as a setting some in some xml file?
also its not some .ogg file in /media/ui or some place else...its some network tone i guess

I have literally tried everything to turn this off on my Motorola Cliq.
I went to my home screen, clicked menue, then settings.
I went to notification settings then to notification sounds. There is not a silent! I don't know how to make this sound go away!
I tried installing the "Missed Call" app, hoping that I could override the default settings on my phone, but it doesnt. Now I have two missed call notifications.
Since updating to 2.2 recently, my phone interface when calling has gotten worse. It has the add call, hold, mute and speaker buttons on top of the number, so I cannot see who is calling. It also overlaps the bottom part.
That is not that bad, it is more preferance. The real problem is that I can not bring up numbers while in the middle of a call. This makes calling automated numbers, or more importantly, my voicemail.
Has anyone else come across this? If so, how did you deal with it? Is there a button I am missing? Or a new phone interface I can download?
I'm having a bit of an issue with my new phone, A couple of times now I have hit the call button on the wrong person, (hand and eye coordination needs improving) and couldn't cancel it until I heard the ringing. I see the big red button "END CALL" but it seems to be disabled until the call has been connected.
Anyone even notice this or is there an setting to fix it? Please help me stop making embarrassing phone calls!
Both yesterday and today every time Ive tried to make a call the phone gives out one beep and will not let me connect. Ive had to switch the phone off and on several times to make it work.

But when I go to Settings/Accessibility I get a pop-up message saying, 'No accessibility related application found. You can download a screen reader for your device from Android Market. Click OK to install the screen reader.'If I press 'Cancel' I'm in the accessibility settings with a single grayed-out 'Accessibility' option. But no other options are available.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI managed to get my own custom notification tune, but before the tune is played, there will be a short notification "beep" tone played first followed by my custom message tone, sometimes it comes after my custom message tune and it cuts away my custom tune to a halt. I can't seem to find that particular standard notification "beep" to delete away from being played whenever i get a message.
