View 2 RepliesCallers can hear me but I can't hear them - UNLESS the speakerphone is turned on. Could this be a mechanical problem with the ear speaker?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having an intermittent problem where callers can't hear me for 6-10 seconds when they call. This is a t best embarrassing and frequently they hang up. As I say the problem is intermittent - sometimes the phone answers as usual. Interestingly, I can hear them talking (and usually saying 'hello? hello?) but they can't hear me and I just keep saying hello until they hang up or until the sound kicks in and we can converse.
I did a factory reset with no improvement, and have also downloaded the PC updater and updated the system with no improvement. Then, I spoke to a friend the other night who described an identical problem with his X10.
I can barely hear whoever i'm talking too on my phone even if the volume is all the way up. If I switch to speaker I can hear them fine but the ear piece seems to be not working properly. If I put on my bluetooth and use it I can hear perfectly also.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI keep my phone on vibrate most of the time and I've found that when I'm on the phone talking to someone and I get a new email, the phone vibrates so I can hear it, which is great. But the caller on the other end hears it too and they always end up saying 'WTF was that noise'? How to turn this off so callers don't hear the vibrate mode too?
View 24 Replies View RelatedJust got my Incredible and love it. I charged it up last night for the second time. Turned it on this morning and all looked good. Received a call this morning and I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. Several more incoming calls and the same issue. Then I made some calls...I could hear the person but they could not hear me. Finally turned phone off and back on and it is now fine. Mute was not on.....anyone know what this could be?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've notice lately, after flashing a custom rom, that during calls I can barely hear people on the other end yet they hear me fine. I have check all volume levels on my phone. Even with the call volume all the way up and on speaker is still very hard to hear.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPeople cannot hear me on speaker phone. I'm not sure if it's because I SBF'ed back to stock, which may be different than when I first got the phone? Other than that, my phone is perfect. I would hate to have to go through a refurb. I was wondering if it was possibly a software issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis has happened twice now. If I turn off, then back on it works again. Has this happened to anyone else?
PS - everything seems to work fine the rest of the time.
I love my Droid the only problem I have so far is I wish I had a "phone only" mode like on Blackberry. There are times where I like having all the sounds muted, but still want to have the phone ringtone on so that way I can hear the phone. I haven't found a way to do this yet, does anyone know how to?
View 14 Replies View RelatedMy friend is having a problem with her droid. When she is on the phone talking it is constantly, muting her voice or something cuz no1 can hear her. she just got the phone less than a week ago. I read online and found a bunch of stuff about the proximity sensor and the software issues, however those were all dated last year around winter time. So I am trying to see if there is a current fix for it. I see on the forums people have some problems with hardware on their incredibles but I didn't see a thread for the droid. Basically she can hear people talking but no1 can hear her and it happens like every other phone call.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to change Google voice message that people hear when they call from the phone? I know how to do it from the computer but can't find it on the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy gf has tried to call me a few times and the phone rings normally and everything, but when I answer, I can't hear anything at all, and the call ends after about ten seconds.
View 23 Replies View RelatedLast night I was driving home listening to MP3's on my droid and with the phone sitting speaker up I could hear the music just fine...nice and loud.
Today, none of my sound is audible unless it is extremely quiet in in the room or I'm holding the speaker right to my ear (I didn't hear my alarm this morning either )
All the sound setting are at max. Anyone else having this issue or know how I can get my sound to go up again?
So I just found out that when I'm on speakerphone, people can't hear me. I then actually called myself with another phone and realized that I can't hear myself at all when I set the phone to speaker mode! When I turn off speakerphone and talk into the mic the voice is loud and clear, but the moment I turn it on boom the other end hears nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNow I'm on froyo with root Everything is fine. Besides I can't hear people when they call and they can't hear me. Like my Mic and my speaker is disabled?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my microphones and was wondering if anyone else had the same issues? Pretty much no one can hear me if I call them, If I set it to speaker they can hear me fine (via top mic) but when I try to talk normally, still the same muted mic. I cant find any settings for this and I have tried rebooting the device. Anyone know what may be causing this or maybe I got a defective X?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm speaking as a formal HTC user, Had the HTC Eris for over 6 months, before that, the palm Pre.... and being around my mother with her HTC Hero (cdma) her phone ringing all day long it was impossible to ignore that thing, dang loud and clear.
My previous phones both had VERY loud and rich speakers on them (the speaker the ringer/music/sound affects come out of), even in some noisy environments it was impossible to miss a call when I had service, just the week that I've had the droid X, I've missed several calls either from not noticing the vibrator in looser pockets or its just too dang quiet.
Speaker placement is bad too, sitting the phone on a slighty soft surface like a chair can muffle the speaker to nearly impossible to hear 6 feet away.
I'm hoping the droid X doesnt have a hardware deficiency and that this can be fixed through software... My best buddy has the droid x also, his is just the same, very quiet vs my old Eris put side to side.
So when I'm on a call, during the call I keep hearing an ongoing Beeep in the background. It's loud, distracting, and annoying. This began happening after the 2.2 update. Otherwise, everything is working ok. It's possibly a timer, or something, how can I shut if off...
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've now heard this from a few different callers (2 in the last day). They are hearing an echo of their voice. They are calling me and it's happened when I have called them.I'm calling from my phone (no bluetooth or speaker). When it's happened I've called back and it's cleared the issue, a couple of times it hasn't. Do you think it's a hardware or network issue?
View 28 Replies View RelatedI can receive calls and call out but I cant hear anything. At first I thought it was because the network was down but that's not the case. I then check to see if mute was on and the volume was up. Everything seems fine but maybe someone can point me into the right direction.
View 8 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else experience poor sound quality on the other end? People always complain that it sounds like: I am in a tunnel, underwater, or on speakerphone. When none of the above are true. I hear everyone fine, but for them it is not mutual. My phone is a droid on verizon.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI listen to my VM on speaker sometimes when Im doing something and the volume on that is VERY VERY low. Anyone else having this? Anyway to make it louder? Its lower than even my ring tones or alerts. Is there a hack or anything to make it louder?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have my gmail set to play a tone called "green tunnel" as its notification and my sms to play "life mushroom." Under the main settings tab, the default notification tone is "silent." For some reason when I get a text message, I'm hearing "green tunnel" and "life mushroom" at the same time.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I updated to 2.2 OTA this morning and since then I cannot hear anyone and they cannot hear me while making phone calls. I tried the *228 and reprogrammed my phone with no luck. Is anyone else having this issue?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow do I do a system reboot for my Droid Eris? People cant hear me on the other line so I was told to reboot, but I don't know how.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYes, I admit I am partially deaf from all the Hair Band concerts that I went to when I was younger but I can not hear at all on the incredible. I have the volume all the way turned up and I have the hardest time hearing. I mean it has to be dead quiet for me to hear the person talking to me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo randomly after the update, may be coincidence, people cannot hear me while talking on the phone. I am new to android so I am not sure of everything to check. Anyone have this happen or might now where to check for reasons for this happening?
View 12 Replies View RelatedHowever i have come across a few problems. One of which is when someone calls me or I call them depending on what "mood" my phone is in the person on the other line cannot hear me. Also since about two days ago it's been happening almost everyday, now the hitch pitched "Beep" is accompanying the problem of the person on the other line not being able to hear me. I can get around it, I have toe reset my phone twice. Yep, twice. I reset it the first time and it does nothing. Still same ol' high pitched "beep" and no one can hear me. No matter how long I wait on the phone or how many phone calls I make. After the second reset it works with no problems.
