Dec 24, 2009Just recently I started getting an annoying "beep-beep" every 10 seconds during phone calls. I've tried killing all apps and it's still there. Have I screwed up some setting?

View 7 RepliesSo when I'm on a call, during the call I keep hearing an ongoing Beeep in the background. It's loud, distracting, and annoying. This began happening after the 2.2 update. Otherwise, everything is working ok. It's possibly a timer, or something, how can I shut if off...
View 18 Replies View RelatedWhen I end a call on my Droid X, the phone displays a "Call Time" window and beeps. I've turned the phone volume down and even tried disabling/muting every audio setting I can find, but I still get that annoying beep. Is there anyway to turn it off?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have literally tried everything to turn this off on my Motorola Cliq.
I went to my home screen, clicked menue, then settings.
I went to notification settings then to notification sounds. There is not a silent! I don't know how to make this sound go away!
I tried installing the "Missed Call" app, hoping that I could override the default settings on my phone, but it doesnt. Now I have two missed call notifications.
Anyone know how to disable that?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOften during my calls I can hear a call waiting tone (double beep) but when I look at the screen there is no parallell call? Am I hearing the other persons call waiting or is it a glitch in my phone? I had this issue on every ROM, 2.1, 2.2 and live in Sweden (if it makes a difference)
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to stop the beep which occurs after making a call on the Desire? what might cause a vibration when connecting a call received?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just noticed that when I end a call on my Desire about 2-3 seconds later I get this annoying single beep. I've had the phone about 2 months now and i'm sure it didnt do it from new. I think it's come from a app i've removed and its left something behind but I could be wrong. I've tried putting the phone on silent but the beep is still there.

It's not really a beep, but I couldn't think of another way to describe it in one word. What I'm hearing every once in a while during a call is the sound you'd hear if someone on a land line would press a button on their phone during the call.
Is anyone else having this issue? I know I've had phones in the past that will beep every x minutes during a phone call, but that setting could be turned off. I KNOW I do not have a call/text/etc waiting when this is happening, or any other update, etc. from an app.
Just recently my Incredible has started to beep once after I end a call. Does anybody else hear this beep when you end a call? how to disable it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Hero has just started making a beep through the main speaker when ending a call - I don't remember it doing this before - is this normal and is there a setting to disable it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter every call if one of the both sides hung up a loud BEEP comes out of the speaker.
I found no option to disable this sound. But I read that it is a system sound and if you delete this sound it disappears. Where I can find this sound to disable it?

There is a beep tone when u end a call..
which was played through the main external speaker instead of phone earpiece speaker..
what can be the exact reason that causes it...
can it be as simple as a setting some in some xml file?
also its not some .ogg file in /media/ui or some place else...its some network tone i guess
My sprint hero makes a vary annoying beep whenever a call is ended.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Galaxy S2 jelly bean version. My problem is that when I am on a call and I receive another call, I get the notification beeping sound, and the person I am talking to also hears the beep and becomes aware that someone is trying to call me! The person I'm talking to should not hear the beep or know that I'm being called by a third person!
how to prevent/turn off the beep to the person I am talking to without turning off call waiting ?
New to these forums as I got my cliq 1 week ago.
I normally keep my phones on vibrate in order to be discreet of any incoming calls or notifications at work. However, when I am talking on the phone and I get a text, the phone vibrates. Is there a way to make the phone just beep or play a sound instead of vibrating. I must admit, it can freak you having the phone buzz in your ear.
I can't take it any more, davros's kid needs a few (gentle) nose beeps (this is a natural consequence of being too cute).
Here:
He's holding the little kid in nose beep position, you may have noticed; beep away.
every time I make a call, receive a call, turn the phone off, turn the phone on, loose service or gain service, a voice says "Verizon Wireless". This is very annoying and I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. Changing ring tones and such does not work, still says "Verizon Wireless". Is there anyway to turn this off?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't remember my DroidX always doing this, but recently after I hang-up from a call it shows the "Call Time XX:XX" in the center of the screen and I can't do anything until it goes away, which is generally 5-8 seconds. Hitting Home, Back, etc does nothing and tapping on the screen or the message also does nothing. Is this a setting I can disable? I can look at the recent calls to get the length of call if I need to see it, so I don't need the dramatic pause to give me this info.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOftentimes when I attempt to end a phone call the screen goes dark and I am not able to end a call. I have read other websites in which users have had similar issues. Will this issue be addressed and fixed soon in a firmware update?

How do you selectly delete numbers in your call log? All I can find is delete all. You would think someone would look at how a BB works and understand you don't always want to delete all your calls.
Is there a way to delete some of your call log and not all of it?
My biggest problem these days seems to be around the reminder tones for text messages, e-mails, calendar, etc. They only ring one time and it is this little bitty noise. If you don't hear it then you are out of luck unless you just happen to look at your phone. Is there an app where I can put different tones that will continue to beep with reminders until I acknowledge it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedNot sure if there is a thread for this but after I end a call the screen goes to my call log. is there a way to disable that so it goes back to my home screen?
