I'm finding that when I switch to "Sound Off" on my lock screen, it's turning off vibrate too. Does anyone know if its possible to change the default behavior of "Sound Off" to be "Vibrate On", or at least not to affect things that are already on vibrate?

I'd like to set the sound slider on the lock screen of my Droid to make my phone set to vibrate instead of fully silent. Is there a way to do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know there are other threads on putting your phone on vibrate, but haven't found an answer to my particular issue. When I'm in the lock/unlock screen, I can go two ways. Swipe right and the phone unlocks, swipe left and the silent mode is on/off. Is there a way to make it go into vibrate mode on/off instead of silent? I NEVER use silent but I ALWAYS use vibrate, and would much rather make that quick switch at the lock/unlock screen than using locale or volume control after unlocking.

I would like the 2.0 slider on Bugless Beast, but can't find the instructions for it. I know they have the link on the Bugless Beast alldroid thread, but I dont know what to do with "-Patcher 2.0 Lock Screen with Vibrate Tweak". Should I run the file "update.zip" as reboot recovery over the rom?
I have a Droid X. I was previously employed by a company that used Exchange Server and Active Sync and I added my company email account to the Droid X. This forced me to use a 4 digit pin as required by the mail admin of the company. I no longer work for this company, and deleted the active sync account from my phone (and no longer have access to it by any means). The security settings for the PIN. When I check SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK -> CHANGE SCREEN LOCK the options, "None" and "Pattern" are grayed out and not selectable. When I look under SETTINGS -> LOCATION & SECURITY ->SELECT DEVICE ADMINISTRATORS the device administrator is listed a "Corporate Sync" and I cannot change or delete this.

Anyone know how to disable this sound? When you are focusing it, it makes the little ding! sound, even when it is in vibrate mode. I was playing around with the camera at work this morning and found this out. kinda scared me cause i thought that since i have it in vibrate mode, it shouldn't make any sounds, right?

Before the Andriod 2.2 upgrade the toggle, could turn volume up and down, change to vibrate, and change to silent; however, now with Andriod 2.2, you can only turn volume down and switch to either vibrate or silent, you cannot choose which on you would like. I want to be able to select vibrate or silent just from using my toggle switch instead of having to go into setting every time.

View 49 Replies View RelatedOkay, so I originally noticed that 2.2 now had a feature that allows you to assign a noise when locking/ unlocked your screen when I force updated my original Droid 1. When it came time to get the Droid 2 I went into settings and made sure that the option was still there and it was. So I set it and locked the screen, didn't hear a thing. Unlocked the screen and still didn't hear anything. Put the phone up to my ear and locked, and there was the ever so slightest clicking noise that was almost non existent (that's how low it was). So I instantly made sure that all volumes were set to high and they were. At that point I figured that's just how it was, and there was no changing it. I was kinda upset.And then today came!!! Out of nowhere, the phone now makes a nice and loud lock and unlock sound. It's so random, I don't understand why it would change its mind out of nowhere.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am currently an iPhone 4s user and really like the way that the switch toggles between no sound (vibrate) and sound. I leave me phone in vibrate mode for most of the day and in the evening I tend to switch it to sound so I can hear the alerts from around my house when I don't have the phone with me. I am thinking about switching to an android device (S4 or HTC One) and have a few friends that haven't been able to duplicate the behavior of the iPhone. They get sound with vibration or some other weird combinations that wont work for me. Is this a limitation of the OS or is it device specific? I basically want everything to vibrate (Ringer, SMS, Email) with the option of changing everything to sound, no combinations of the two. I also need to distinguish between types of messages by using different vibration patterns.

Before my eris would play the notification sound within a second of the vibration. Now, my phone lags for about 2 or 3 seconds, vibrating first, then ringing. use the native SMS program, and I don't want to have to download any new apps like chompSMS or anything, I just want my phone to start working again.
