Dec 24, 2012It all started with a awesome home page and wanting to screenshoot it and finding out my Droid2 did not have software or shortcut keys like my GT7 to do this. So I read for some time until I felt confident in a safe rooting procedure which turned out to be the "Z4Root App". It's ridicously easy with the Droid2, download it, install it, open it, click "root permantley" and bang you've been granted root_access. After rooting I went with Screenshot Ultimate which claims screenshots can be done w/o Root which turned out to be untrue but w/root it works without a hitch. Unfortunately, it saves your screenshots in a very stupid place but you can access them through a file manager not the gallery but none the less it has accomplished the goal. Im curious to see how far root_access can take me

Can't press the small wifi button on dock it will not recognize on the other hand i can press the Bluetooth without any problems and when i go to the settings the small _OFF_ button will not recognize me pressing it.

Oct 4, 2010When I check for a system update, it says that there is an update available (ver 2.3.15) and it allows me to download it. After it downloads successfully, it says it must restart the phone blah blah, and I say yes and it reboots. Once it loads back up, it says that the update install was unsuccessful.I have done this 4 times now, after the first two I even did a factory reset and then did a battery pull and still, same result. Mar 30, 2010I'm pretty new when it comes to rooting and whatnot, but I gave it a shot. It worked well. I currently have Cyanogen 5.0.5 on my phone and I love it! I heard that the OTA 2.1 is finally out, and I wanted to unroot and try it to compare against my ROM. I have read of ways to do this, but I think my situation is a little more unique. I attempted to revert back to stock via ROM Manager. I must have done the wrong thing, so I ended up just reinstalling the update.zip file from my SD Card. I resigned into Google and it was just like the first time I rooted. I re-downloaded ROM Manager and when I try to "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery", I get the error message: "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands." The "reboot into recovery" also does not work. I can still hold "X" and power on, but I just get the clockwork recovery menu, and end up nowhere but back to Cyanogen. I love Cyan and will probably stick with it, but nothing as far as root apps work anymore. DM also doesn't work for me anymore. When I enter recovery mode, it gives me the option to boot from update.zip, or factory reset. Would factory reset mess everything up? Any help/ideas?

I am able to restore previous backups but even when I do that I still have the same issue of not being able to flash a theme or rom. That is using rom manager or manually.

Says resend or use area code, but it says the same thing when I enter the area code. It sends it back to me without the area code. I have/the area code entered in the contact details as well.

Aug 19, 2010My Calendar syncs fine, everything is synced from Google to my phone. The problem is I can not add a new event on my phone. When I open my calendar and click "New Event" the screen flashes black for a second then goes back to the calendar. I can not add a new event on my phone. Right now I have my calendar bookmarked on my browser so I can add an event that way, but that is just a temporary solution.

Aug 12, 2010My issue is that I am unable to send mail using an email account on my web domain - I get a generic message that states something similar to the email is unable to be sent. I was previously able to email on my old Blackberry using the same account, so I would think it'd be possible on the Droid X. I have tried all ports I saw suggested in the forums on my web host's site but none of the three I tried work for me. I am able to receive mail without any problems and my web host confirmed the below settings should be correct. I know for certain that the user name requires the full email address, rather than just the user name portion. Please see below and let me know what I need to change to get this working.
