View 6 RepliesGot an issue receiving my AOL Mail. The problem is most noticible if I receive an email on my account (view it on my computer because my phone only checks for new mail every 15 mins.) and read it/ delete it on my computer, about 2 hours later it is sent to my droid as New Mail? I have also noticed that mail i have not read has been delayed also. Any ideas? P.s. This is for a friend of mines DROID. Not really sure how to fix it because all my email is through Gmail!

Or Rolling Out Now? | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog The quick summary is that 2.2 is apparently still having issues and has been returned from Verizon to Motorola for bugfixes, and D-L is reporting that they're now anticipating not seeing the Droid X update sooner than next week. Also, don't get your hopes up for the second half of that URL, they're trying to be cute by poking fun at unknowledgeable verizon reps who confuse the Incredible and X.

I am guessing that means public beta will come out in May, and the release will be a nice 4th of July present. View 7 Replies View RelatedJust got a Droid X... coming from 3 years of horrible T-Mobile, so I'm excited to be on verizon finally! One problem though, and big because I text a lot - I notice my text messages are being delayed. They often come maybe 5 minutes later in groups of 3 or however many on in queue. It looks as if my phone is only checking periodically... how can I troubleshoot this? Perhaps it's a signal issue but I can still send texts and also receive calls.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave any if of you guys been experiencing this kind of slow laggy delayed scrolling while on internet? I am running launcher pro and started noticing this effect after getting the 2.2 froyo update. 2.2 doesn't seem to impressive. Other than the flash capability. I could careless for it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you're to believe Hands on Sprint Samsung Moment Android phone - Android and Me, we won't be getting Donut anytime soon. Skipping to 6:10 - "they" told him about Donut in 2010 for "Moment", I guess Galaxy won't be getting it prior to Moment, if ever. We really need Samsung to tell us officially about Donut because if the delay is true, it is a major blow to early adopters of their Android phones.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm having an awful time with my Eris when it comes to picking up calls and an even worse time dialing out. Everything is delayed after pressing keys. This morning I went to dial someone and when it didn't dial I set the phone down to use my office phone and then out of the corner of my eye I see it was calling the person. Once I had the person on the phone w/in a minute my cheek (I'm assuming) ended the call.
So the screen was in the call history list so I pressed his name again to call and it called the next person below on the list. It was probably adding his name to the call history and moved the list but because it was delayed it dialed the wrong person. I love this phone except for phone Calls. I'm going into Verizon today to complain. They will be able to tell from my call history how frequently I'm missing calls because the phone doesn't pick up and then I redial back. 5 calls back and forth for a 2 minute conversations!
Samsung Vibrant family, Got some bad news, Finally got some update about Froyo update for Samsung Galaxy S(Im thinking its going to affect us Vibrant owners too since its the same phone). View 27 Replies View RelatedI've got a quick question.
My friend bricked his DX with the Deodexing or whatever. After an sbf flash..
Can we update to 2.2 via update.zip in recovery, install rom manager, and then install MY backup on his phone? I'm currently uploading them to file hosting, and wondering if this would work.
If so, will he be fully rooted, deodexed, and themed(I'm rocking the xtreme 2.2 theme)?
Unlike our US counterpart (Motorola Droid) the European Motorola Milestone/ users are not currently given any updates at all. The update server does not respond, as such we are stuck with 2.0 and with well known documented problems. Some of which make the device not usable.

View 8 Replies View Relatedok, I am new to these forums, so im sure these questions have been answered a million times before. But i am wondering how close is the 2.1 update and flash to being available for the Droid. Also, how do you update it, is it in the market or will it just happen automatically?
View 49 Replies View RelatedI turned FreeWells writeup into an update.zip - ALL CREDIT GOES TO HIM!
This is also now available in Rom Manager under Beesley's Build.Props
MAKE SURE TO BOOTSTRAP BEFORE RUNNING ROM MANAGER! IT HELPS AVOID ISSUES
All you need to do now is run the insmod code and setscaling100.sh from terminal after flashing this.
Beesleys OC Update.zip
After you flash that and reboot..
From a terminal with "su" (#)
insmod /system/lib/modules/overclock.ko <--- DONT FORGET THE "SPACE" AFTER INSMOD!!
setscaling100.sh
Boom. Done. 1.38Ghz
If your phone cant run that high, edit the values via root explorer.
People who did the OTA should have no problems
I recommend you get the app called GScript and then make the following scripts (very easy!)
To turn OC On

From BGR after the Motorola Press Conference at CES..All Motorola Android handsets, including the CLIQ, will be updated to Android 2.1.Motorola is working on Flash 10.1 integration, is optimized for the DROID's chipset and will be pushed out the DROID at some time in the future.Motorola DROID will receive a second maintenance update in the near future..Motorola kept is short and sweet so that is all folks!
Heres hoping for sooner rather than later. Only thing that concerns me about soon is the fact that the last statement just says maintenance update in the near future. So im kinda thinking 2.1 wont be with it on the 22nd.
So one of the cool things about Froyo is being able to check off Enable Automatic Update for market apps. So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.

I am not looking to root 2.2. All i want to do is get 2.2 OTA from verizon. I keep getting Failed to Update. View 11 Replies View RelatedHere is what I'm trying do accomplish. I want to use the newest Bugles beast Rom update.zip but i want to insert the Adamz kernal, wifi driver, and a framework-res file so it can all be installed in 1 update. reason for this is i have 3 friends that i have rooted phones for and would like to keep them updated with the most current rom but i want them to only have to install 1 file (they are not very tech savy). so anyways i tried simply dropping those files in there appropriate place and installing it but i get an error "(bad) installation aborted" so what do i need to create/edit an update.zip file. i read maybe i need to sign the update but i have no idea how to do that.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a way to manually update your phone's PRL (not *228)? My PRL was updated and now I am not getting 3G where I live. I tried ##PROGRAM, but there was no place to change the PRL. Dialing ##778# does not work either for me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if it will simply "overwrite" the manual update, or if we should abort it altogether. OR, if we will even get one at all if we manually updated.
