Maybe I'm missing it, but (Droid X) how do I view and save missed calls? Also, if I view notifications then go home the notifications are erased. How can they be automatically saved? Are there applications?

My only complaint about the Droid is the seeming lack of options for notifications.
Is there a way, or an app, that would allow you to assign different notifications to emails vs texts vs missed calls?
Also, does anyone know if there's a way to set the phone to re-notify you periodically if you have a notification that has not been looked at? I tend to leave my phone sitting on my desk at work and would like it to let me know if I missed a call or text while I was away from my desk.
Ideally I'd like to silence email notifications, but have text and missed call notifications with unique ring tones for each, and I'd like the phone to renotify me every 10 minutes or so if I have a text or missed call waiting for me.
I like would like to have a clock/weather app, shortcuts to phone, camera, and messaging, battery indicator, and notifications for missed calls and texts. Another big thing for me is the ability to turn off wifi/noise/and screen brightness from the lockscreen

I'm wondering how many calls I miss. At least, if I'm on the X, I get a notice there's another incoming call.
View 9 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is technically the "silent bug" but calls do not even show up on the phone, they just appear as "missed call from...." no noise no other notification. I restarted phone but it did it again right away. Phone does show the 50% bug in battery info.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got Missed Call app because I liked the idea of different LED notification colors, plus some other stuff. However, when you start program it says to disable droid sms notifications (I think they mean just sms anyways), but I couldn't find that in settings. Also, not crazy about the icon it gives you in notification area, as one other poster pointed out, but I didn't know if that was partially due to having already gotten one notification from standard sms app, it's like a weird white sms icon, with a red exclamation mark, which always make me think it's some emergent notification, when it's just a standard sms. Also- LED was working at one point, but now I just get standard green, I assume this is because notifications is still enabled in Droid settings. So:
1) Is that the icon you always get, in notification area, for this app?
2) How do I disable sms notifications, or is it all notifications, and does Missed Call replace everything?
3) How's this app working for you, do you like it, is it working well?
I always like ot have my sms vibrate and my phone calls vibrate, never make noises. How do I make different vibrates for my sms notifications and incoming calls?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn a number of occasions, I've missed incoming calls that I never heard ring. This has happened even when the ringer volume is turned all the way up (it's much too easy to inadvertently lower the ringer volume, but that's another story). Yeah, I know - I live in New York City, where it's easy to not hear a phone ring, but I've missed calls even when I'm in a totally quiet room. Just now, I was sitting with the phone on the table in front of me, and it started lighting up with an incoming call, but the ringer made no sound. I checked and the ringer was up 3/4 of the way, so it should have been ringing.
View 25 Replies View Relatedhaving problems receiving calls. When I call the phone from another line, nothing happens except its logged as a missed call. The screen doesnt light up and no options for receiving calls. This happened before I installed Google voice. I disabled Google voice and still no joy. Everything else works. I can make calls, browse over WiFi and 3G.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently switched gmail accounts. I was able to reconfigure the stock mail app fine. The gmail app took some persuasion but eventually cooperated. The only problem is now all my contacts that were saved in my old gmail acct need to be transferred to my new one. Not a big deal (only have 10 because I lost my phone, reason why I have an Eris). However, my brother called. Since I lost him from my contacts, I used the recent calls window to add him. Hit Save. If I go to People, he isnt there. Retried it 3 times. I figure I can just re add him through gmail on my PC and sync it, but that's inconvenient and I wanna know: why isn't this working?

The little notification Icon at the top of the screen in the status bar is way to small and gets lost among all the other notifications. If I miss a call, or get a voicemail, the screen will turn on as usual but then it won't sleep until I either press the power button or unlock the phone. The screen will stay on indefinitely (on the lock pattern screen). This only started happening after I updated to 2.2. So now if I'm away from my phone and get a call, the battery will be almost completely drained by the time I get back to it (sometimes up to 4 hours later). This might also be happening if I get a calender notification too...anyone know what's going on?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I missed a call or text while my Dare's screen was blank, all I needed to do was tap on it to wake it up and see who the call or text was from while the phone was still locked. On my Dinc, I have to press the top button to wake it up. Is there a way to change the settings so I can go back to just tapping the screen to wake it up?
Call me crazy, but that's just one of a few things that are making me miss my Dare! Don't get me wrong, I love my Dinc, but when you've been used to certain shortcuts for a few years, it's hard to change.
I'm on O2 UK and if my wife rings me from her O2 mobile or from our home landline my Desire doesn't ring but shows the missed call icon in the notification area. what happens on the phone you ring from i.e my wife�s mobile or our landline all you here is 2 short rings then the phone goes dead.I only have wifi switched on and not the mobile network.that is to say I don't have the 'mobile network' option ticked in 'wireless & networks' screen. Has anyone else had this problem?PS the phone rings fine when I ring from say my work mobile or my work landline and also from other mobiles including ones on O2 UK. >PPS tried turning off the option 'Quiet ring on pickup' but that hasn't made any difference either

They work on missed calls, gmail, and sms but is there any app that can monitor alerts from other apps like twitter (touiteur) K9 email, facebook which don't do "notifications" after the initial alert. So if that's not heard you don't know till you glance at the screen. Anyone aware of a 3rd party app that does for twitter and facebook alerts what missed reminders does for SMS?
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday makes it exactly one week since I upgraded to my Evo. I noticed, yesterday and today, an issue with notification. Yesterday I missed a call and noticed the led blinking but nothing in the notifications drag down window. Today I received a text message, saw the icon up top, then before opening it I received a call. Talked for a good hour on the phone and when I hung up, the led was blinking but icon was gone. Another thing I noticed from when I got the phone is I don't show any notification on the unlock screen as soon as you come out of sleep mode. Is this normal? My hero shows missed call or text on the unlock screen when you wake the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I have someone call my Google Voice number, it rings for a split second, then goes immediately to a missed call icon on my droid. It will then ring for another split second, and add yet another missed call. Every call coming to my number gets around 5 missed calls. The call from their end seems normal, as all they hear is ringing. On my end, I cant even answer the call because it vanishes right away.
