My old Optimus V phone had a launcher that showed the number of missed texts/calls/emails right above the shortcut in the app dock at the bottom of the screen. Is there any modern launcher that does the same thing and works on 4.x JB phones? I'm rooted and ROM'd.

My only complaint about the Droid is the seeming lack of options for notifications.
Is there a way, or an app, that would allow you to assign different notifications to emails vs texts vs missed calls?
Also, does anyone know if there's a way to set the phone to re-notify you periodically if you have a notification that has not been looked at? I tend to leave my phone sitting on my desk at work and would like it to let me know if I missed a call or text while I was away from my desk.
Ideally I'd like to silence email notifications, but have text and missed call notifications with unique ring tones for each, and I'd like the phone to renotify me every 10 minutes or so if I have a text or missed call waiting for me.
1. Is there a way to get the badge notifications for when I miss a call or text? I have "MIssed call count" and "Unread SMS count" turned on and it never displays the number of missed calls/ messages
2. Is there a way to rename a folder created in this thing? When I make one, it just is called "New Folder" and I can't get it to recognize folders that I made before installing Launcher Pro.
3. I'm having trouble finding certain things, like for instance the "Active Applications" widget is not under widgets on LP - where can I find it?
I am a new HTC user and I can't get the phone to notify keep notifying me with sound when I have missed a call. The rollerball will flash but I wanted a sound to keep alerting me. How can I do this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedApps like "missed reminders" are great for doing multiple alerts every X number of minutes if you don't hear the first one. They work on missed calls, gmail, and sms but is there any app that can monitor alerts from other apps like twitter (touiteur) K9 email, facebook which don't do "notifications" after the initial alert. So if that's not heard you don't know till you glance at the screen. Anyone aware of a 3rd party app that does for twitter and facebook alerts what missed reminders does for SMS?
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday makes it exactly one week since I upgraded to my Evo. I noticed, yesterday and today, an issue with notification. Yesterday I missed a call and noticed the led blinking but nothing in the notifications drag down window. Today I received a text message, saw the icon up top, then before opening it I received a call. Talked for a good hour on the phone and when I hung up, the led was blinking but icon was gone. Another thing I noticed from when I got the phone is I don't show any notification on the unlock screen as soon as you come out of sleep mode. Is this normal? My hero shows missed call or text on the unlock screen when you wake the phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got Missed Call app because I liked the idea of different LED notification colors, plus some other stuff. However, when you start program it says to disable droid sms notifications (I think they mean just sms anyways), but I couldn't find that in settings. Also, not crazy about the icon it gives you in notification area, as one other poster pointed out, but I didn't know if that was partially due to having already gotten one notification from standard sms app, it's like a weird white sms icon, with a red exclamation mark, which always make me think it's some emergent notification, when it's just a standard sms. Also- LED was working at one point, but now I just get standard green, I assume this is because notifications is still enabled in Droid settings. So:
1) Is that the icon you always get, in notification area, for this app?
2) How do I disable sms notifications, or is it all notifications, and does Missed Call replace everything?
3) How's this app working for you, do you like it, is it working well?
Installed Launcher Pro and love it.Extremely fast on my phone.The only problem I am having is that I do not get e-mail notifications for Yahoo or Hotmail.Handcent notifications work fine.As soon as I switch back to Sense, the notifications show up.Any ideas why this happens in Launcher Pro.I want to use it, but if I cant get e-mail notifications it is a no deal.

I added my Gmail and Text Messages shortcuts to my dock and check-marked the options to have the number of unread emails and messages show up. However, those numbers are not showing up on the icons whenever I get new emails or texts. Anyone else experiencing this?

More specifically, opening menus is not as smooth and switching screens is a little choppy. Also... I do not get notifications on my sms and email icons when i have a new message or a email. It failed, haz i found out, because the updated firmware was for the optimus one p500 and not the p504. Ive been able to find the p500 and the p509 firmware but no luck with the 504. Its pretty nifty so far, but honestly, it'd look so much better if I could add this widget button that opens the taskbar/start menu onto my dock. I'm running LauncherPro Plus, and it doesn't allow widget buttons on the dock.
