I just got my first android phone Evo. I love this phone only I wanted to know if there is an app or anything that would allow me to see that I have missed calls or text after the screen goes off.

I work alot in an area that has very spotty reception, or none at all. My problem is that my wife mainly, or ppl will call or text me and i will not recieve ANY notification of a missed call or text. Usually with my old phone "samsung eternity" i would recieve a missed call or text later once my phone got reception again. Any one else having this problem and also any fixes? My only idea is my task killer might be messing up with it. But i've ignored anything that has to do with text or calls.

If I miss a call, or get a voicemail, the screen will turn on as usual but then it won't sleep until I either press the power button or unlock the phone. The screen will stay on indefinitely (on the lock pattern screen). This only started happening after I updated to 2.2. So now if I'm away from my phone and get a call, the battery will be almost completely drained by the time I get back to it (sometimes up to 4 hours later). This might also be happening if I get a calender notification too...anyone know what's going on?

After every missed call I keep getting a text message that says: If I call the second number (408-970-0000) (always the same) - it says "Our records indicate that you are calling from a SMS voice message equipped handset. If you have recently purchased a handset that does not contain this feature press 1, otherwise press 2." How can I make this stop?

View 25 Replies View RelatedIf I missed a call or text while my Dare's screen was blank, all I needed to do was tap on it to wake it up and see who the call or text was from while the phone was still locked. On my Dinc, I have to press the top button to wake it up. Is there a way to change the settings so I can go back to just tapping the screen to wake it up?
Call me crazy, but that's just one of a few things that are making me miss my Dare! Don't get me wrong, I love my Dinc, but when you've been used to certain shortcuts for a few years, it's hard to change.
How can I tell if I have a missed phone call? There doesn't seem to be any method of notification, such as the BlackBerry's "Missed 1 call" text message on the screen. I'm wondering how many calls I miss. At least, if I'm on the X, I get a notice there's another incoming call.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNoticed yesterday that on the homescreen when the phone was locked that a missed call and voicemail notification appeared as pieces removed from a jigsaw overlay of the background homescreen image. Hadn't seen that before. Is that a default thing or can I change it (did look rather cool though). I usually use the pattern lock rather than the default swipe lock, so I'm wondering if it's to do with that default setting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I have someone call my Google Voice number, it rings for a split second, then goes immediately to a missed call icon on my droid. It will then ring for another split second, and add yet another missed call. Every call coming to my number gets around 5 missed calls. The call from their end seems normal, as all they hear is ringing. On my end, I cant even answer the call because it vanishes right away.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm on O2 UK and if my wife rings me from her O2 mobile or from our home landline my Desire doesn't ring but shows the missed call icon in the notification area. what happens on the phone you ring from i.e my wife�s mobile or our landline all you here is 2 short rings then the phone goes dead.I only have wifi switched on and not the mobile network.that is to say I don't have the 'mobile network' option ticked in 'wireless & networks' screen. Has anyone else had this problem?PS the phone rings fine when I ring from say my work mobile or my work landline and also from other mobiles including ones on O2 UK. >PPS tried turning off the option 'Quiet ring on pickup' but that hasn't made any difference either

Ideally, if I miss a call and/or text, I would like to be reminded every n minutes either by vibrate or by ringtone (whichever's activated) until I acknowledge the missed call/text.
I don't know how people live without this. I've had a Nkia for 18 months and I got tired of having to look at the screen of the phone every time I finished taking a walk(could never feel vibrates while walking) taking a shower (they're not waterproof yet), etc.
Got my phone and and never realized there were no LED notification lights lol. did some surfing and found NoLED in the market but low and behold I cant seem to get it to work. Anyone else try it or find another app?
