General :: Get Badge Notifications For Missed Call Or Text?

1. Is there a way to get the badge notifications for when I miss a call or text? I have "MIssed call count" and "Unread SMS count" turned on and it never displays the number of missed calls/ messages
2. Is there a way to rename a folder created in this thing? When I make one, it just is called "New Folder" and I can't get it to recognize folders that I made before installing Launcher Pro.
3. I'm having trouble finding certain things, like for instance the "Active Applications" widget is not under widgets on LP - where can I find it?

I need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.

I want to add my missed events on my lockscreen (calls, sms, whatsapp and email)
Whatsapp is no problem at all. Solved it with Tasker and Minimalistic Text.
Now I am trying to bring in the variable for the missed call to Minimalistic Text from Tasker.
Unfortunately there is no event I can grab to get there.
Is it eventually locked within ics?

I'm a longtime iPhone user (since 3G) who just switched to Android and the Galaxy Note 3 this week. There are several things I miss about iOS, and one of them is badge notifications without the need for a 3rd party app. Ideally, when I'm due a notification from Facebook, I want only a badge notification on the app's icon, like you do in iOS, and I'm getting that with "Missed it!" installed. However, I don't want an actual notification (via audible tone and indicator) in the notification bar. Is it possible to disable notifications via the notification bar, but still have it display a badge notification on the icon?

Today makes it exactly one week since I upgraded to my Evo. I noticed, yesterday and today, an issue with notification. Yesterday I missed a call and noticed the led blinking but nothing in the notifications drag down window. Today I received a text message, saw the icon up top, then before opening it I received a call. Talked for a good hour on the phone and when I hung up, the led was blinking but icon was gone. Another thing I noticed from when I got the phone is I don't show any notification on the unlock screen as soon as you come out of sleep mode. Is this normal? My hero shows missed call or text on the unlock screen when you wake the phone.

Mostly loving my Desire, but there are a number of minor annoyances. A major one is that if you miss a call or text, you get the notification icon and the flashing led, but other phones have had an audible reminder every few minutes that you had missed something.

I have searched my HTC Incredible up and down but I can't find the option to set how often it rings to let you know that you have a missed call or text. Right now me phone only rings once. This is the most basic feature and there has to be a way to change but I can't find it for the life of me. Even my old razor let me set it to ring every 5 minutes or so for missed calls. I can hook my phone into my pc and stream internet off it but for the life of me I can't figure this out!

I'd like to know which one actually works for Motorola's Droid. I think it should've come standard with the phone, but it didn't. I really need a working app; the two I've installed (Missed Reminder and Missed Call) don't seem to work just as they're supposed to.

I got Missed Call app because I liked the idea of different LED notification colors, plus some other stuff. However, when you start program it says to disable droid sms notifications (I think they mean just sms anyways), but I couldn't find that in settings. Also, not crazy about the icon it gives you in notification area, as one other poster pointed out, but I didn't know if that was partially due to having already gotten one notification from standard sms app, it's like a weird white sms icon, with a red exclamation mark, which always make me think it's some emergent notification, when it's just a standard sms. Also- LED was working at one point, but now I just get standard green, I assume this is because notifications is still enabled in Droid settings. So:
1) Is that the icon you always get, in notification area, for this app?
2) How do I disable sms notifications, or is it all notifications, and does Missed Call replace everything?
3) How's this app working for you, do you like it, is it working well?

My old Optimus V phone had a launcher that showed the number of missed texts/calls/emails right above the shortcut in the app dock at the bottom of the screen. Is there any modern launcher that does the same thing and works on 4.x JB phones? I'm rooted and ROM'd.

My only complaint about the Droid is the seeming lack of options for notifications.
Is there a way, or an app, that would allow you to assign different notifications to emails vs texts vs missed calls?
Also, does anyone know if there's a way to set the phone to re-notify you periodically if you have a notification that has not been looked at? I tend to leave my phone sitting on my desk at work and would like it to let me know if I missed a call or text while I was away from my desk.
Ideally I'd like to silence email notifications, but have text and missed call notifications with unique ring tones for each, and I'd like the phone to renotify me every 10 minutes or so if I have a text or missed call waiting for me.

I have a Droid Incredible and when the device is locked there is a message at the bottom that says I have a missed call. I looked in my call history and found nothing regarding ths call. I have subsequently removed my entire call history but this notification message still appears. how to get rid of this bogus message?

I read 100 notification threads w/o an answer. I have a Zedge ringtone that is the notification for a missed call and cannot change it; in fact, don't know how it got there. I even removed Zedge app. but it still plays. I want to change it to a simple Android tone.

On my N4, Kitkat I noticed problem with missed call.
I'm using exDialer and not stock one.
When I have missed call, I press icon in dashclock, but I'm always asked for "complete action with:" adn I have choice for exDialer or History (open stock dialer history).
I already cleared defaults on both apps, but problem persist.
So as I see, that extension can't remeber default app.

The phone begins to ring and will ring for maybe a second, the screen lights up for me to answer, then it goes back to home screen and ring stops. A missed call notification shows up and then immediately begins to ring again...this only takes maybe a second... it does this over and over, showing up to 12 missed calls for one call. I have tried factory ringtones and downloaded, it does not discriminate.

Since the time I have upgraded to KitKat- I have been facing the issue of Call History. Every Time I miss a Call and I click on the name/number- Its asks me to select a default option of whoch way to open that entry , that is, through Dialer or through History. I tried selecting history and clicked on the "always use this option" but the same thing kept happening every time. After a few tries, I chose the other option and did the same thing and it again kept appearing... It looks like there's a bug in this and it never really saves my preference.

my phone will freeze for 10-15 seconds, then I'll get MAYBE 1 second of phone call, then it'll go to missed call. What's happening here? A similar issue that's also been happening is that I may get the call to ring normally, but then I can't push Answer on the screen so I can't pick up the call. I've updated to Froyo through the OTA update. This wasn't happening after the upgrade, just recently. I've disabled ATK to rule that out, and it's still happening after a reboot.

Apps like "missed reminders" are great for doing multiple alerts every X number of minutes if you don't hear the first one. They work on missed calls, gmail, and sms but is there any app that can monitor alerts from other apps like twitter (touiteur) K9 email, facebook which don't do "notifications" after the initial alert. So if that's not heard you don't know till you glance at the screen. Anyone aware of a 3rd party app that does for twitter and facebook alerts what missed reminders does for SMS?

I like would like to have a clock/weather app, shortcuts to phone, camera, and messaging, battery indicator, and notifications for missed calls and texts. Another big thing for me is the ability to turn off wifi/noise/and screen brightness from the lockscreen

Missed Call - LED notification for missed calls.Thanks to Android_Goes for his efforts however I (or at least my wife) wants thye same facility as she had on her previous phone which is a regular beep to remind her of a miss SMS or call.The flashing light is not so useful in a handbag or pocket.She travels on her job and regularly appointments are cancelled by SMS or by a call. She doesn't have nor wants hands free so she sometimes misses the calls.Is anyone able to point me at an app which beeps after a missed SMS and call?

This has happened to me at least a handful of times now with the Ally. I'll check my phone and I'll have a notification of a new voicemail, but with no indication that I ever missed a call in the call log or anywhere else. Is this how it's supposed to work? If you miss a call but no message is left, you get a "missed call" alert, but if they do leave a message, you just get a voicemail alert? Or is something goofy going on? Kind of annoying that I can't just quickly check the call log to see who it might have been. Instead I have to call in and listen to it. Is this to pressure people into using Visual Voicemail? I don't pay to have that on my plan.
