View 9 Replies View Relatedi've searched around here trying a find an answer and I can't seem to find anything. I was wondering if there was a way to take the applications that are in the drawer and move them to a folder. I don't like that fact that I have all these applications in the drawer, it gets too congested. I would just like to put them in a folder on on of my home screens so its a little bit more cleaned up...

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter update - can SPRecovery be loaded and run to return to a custom ROM? I apologize if this is a dumb question, but as i am at work right now - I can't try it. Not sure if you need root access for SPRecovery, or if there is another way to do it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my Motorola droid last week and when I loaded a bunch of pictures from my comp to the phone it made several folders in my gallery. Is this normal or is there something I can do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo, in the past, with 2.1 or 2.2 when I would rename the blurhome.apk to .bak the phone would then run extremely slow and shutter a lot, basically running like crap, with consistently low quadrant scores (800s). Since installing the 2.3.13 leak I tried renaming the blurhome.apk to .bak and have found that it no longer causes the phone to run lousy. Quadrant scores are the same and everything survives a reboot. I figured others might want to know this also.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI posted b this in the troubleshooting forum, but few people look there, I guess. I tried to update mixing and it failed a few times. I didn't think much about it until I decided to spring for the paid version. I bought it, but it wouldn't upload either. So I went to un install mixing in hopes that a fresh re-install would fix the problem, but there's no option to un install. I have my apps backed up, so I tried un installing mixzing that way, but it fails. The app itself works fine. Mixing may have been bundled with UD 9.8, my current ROM, but I'm not sure. I guess ultimately what I need help with is completely removing the app so I can start with a fresh install.(Switching, or even reinstalling the ROM is simply not an option. It takes me days to get my phone back the way I like it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI used Titanium Backup to freeze, then uninstall some of the bloatware apps on my DX. However, the icons are still found in the app tray and clicking them generates a FC.Is there any way to get rid of the icons permanently? I know I can hide them with LPP but that only hides them; I want to eliminate them.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been a big fan of android since I heard about it a few years ago and when my carrier finally got a android phone I jumped at it. The day the Motorola droid came out I bought it. The Motorola Droid is a great device and I am really happy with it. Fast forward last week I bought a Droid X for my girl friend and at first we both thought it was an amazing device. But after using it some more I noticed all the CRAP that comes with the phone.(she will never use skype and all the other junk) I am mad at google for letting companys like Motorola add all this useless crap on a phone with no way of removing it. Also the battery only lasts a few hours with only twitter and facebook installed on the device? Without rooting it does anyone else know a way to remove these apps?
View 6 Replies View RelatedEveryone is always so concerned about unrooting, removing su, removing busybox, etc., and so-forth. Well, finally an extremely simply solution. Almost too simple. Go to the Market and install SholesMod Updater. Sure it's $5, but it does it all for ya. Just install the application like any other, then open it. Select "Stock 2.0.1 (No root)" and let it do it's thing. And no one is the wiser. Hope this puts some minds at ease.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI am looking for help in transferring to a replacement Droid. In hopes of transferring my apps I installed Titanium Backup, then a system update I found on the forum to allow it to root, which it did not.I would like to back up my Droid, then remove all changes to the OS b4 returning. If anyone has some quick steps and directions for me I would appreciate it.I am new to this whole idea of rooting.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFinally rooted my 2.2 leaked X. After going through the phone and renaming apps I wanted removed, certain ones are still there. Block Buster, News/weather and Social networking. I've cleaned the cache with cache cleaner and even done a battery pull. No go. I've even tried renaming them back to stock(apk)then back to bak.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my stock 2.1 Droid and am playing with all things I now have access to. I realize I can now delete just about anything in the /system folder. I have already removed a few stock apps (like the Visual Voicemail). I suppose I could also remove unused wallpapers, sounds, etc., but would freeing up this space offer any benefit?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to make the alarm clock icon go away in the notification bar? I'm big on minimalism, so I try and have as few icons up there as possible. I have alarms set every day, and I see no need to have an icon up there to remind me. Trust me, being woken up that early every day is reminder enough.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere's a lot of posting going on about removing bloatware, but, other than un-cluttering the apps drawer, what are the benefits over just leaving them in place and not invoking them?
View 8 Replies View RelatedRunning 2.2 from OTA when I take the phone out of a dock (Multimedia or car), the home screen has to rebuild it self. Meaning all the icons are slow to come back. think of it as on a windows machine Explorer dies and you have to do a start/run/explorer to get it back. Only difference i that this is automatic, just slow to get responsive again. Even swipping through the screen is slow at first. Is froyo, google's VISTA?

View 45 Replies View RelatedI have asked this on the bloatware thread, and I've only seen one person mention that they have seen an improvement (BringTheRain403). I know a lot of you have removed most of the bloatware by now.
Do you see a noticeable increase in performance or battery life after removing the bloatware? By removing, I mean freezing the apk's in Titanium Backup. I don't really have a problem with this stuff being on the phone, but if it will noticeably help to remove it, then I definitely will.
I have finally figured out how to root and flash new roms. I have the xtrSense and love it. But my question is this. How do I remove some of the apps at were included on the rom (ie.- amazon mp3, original calculator, footprints)? These are apps that I don't and/or won't use and can't see wasting the disk space.
