I have finally figured out how to root and flash new roms. I have the xtrSense and love it. But my question is this. How do I remove some of the apps at were included on the rom (ie.- amazon mp3, original calculator, footprints)? These are apps that I don't and/or won't use and can't see wasting the disk space.

It doesn't matter if I cannot sign it anymore with the original certificate of the developer. I'm using these commands:
mv /system/app/PDFViewer.apk /system/app.disabled/
mv /system/app/NewsReader.apk /system/app.disabled/
mv /system/app/com.htc.NewsReaderWidget.apk /system/app.disabled/
Anyone been able to remove these two apps?

I originally setup my Droid with my Google Apps account as primary. A few months ago I decided to buy a paid app in the Market and couldn't do so using my Google Apps account. Reluctantly, I added my Google Account as a secondary account on my phone, which allowed me to purchase apps in the Market. Now that I can finally use Google Checkout with my Google Apps account, I would like to remove my Google Account from my phone, since I'm tired of being prompted to select an account each time I create a new contact. Will removing my secondary account affect apps that are already installed? What about when updates become available for these apps in the Market?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with the stock keyboard on my Eris. I don't really like the HTC keyboard so I installed the vanilla keyboard and switched defaults and whatnot. However, some apps (like "setup" for example) switch it back to the HTC keyboard and then I have to go back into HTC Sense and switch it and everything which is a pain. I know that the easy answer is "don't use those apps" though I really just want a permanent fix for it. Anyway to do this?

Even if I don't get all of them (some MIGHT be too deep, its hard to tell whether my fingernail catches or not in that little area), it would still be better if I could get some of them out. Any way I can do this without harming the lens even more?The scratches are on the outside of the cover, btw, not the tiny circle opening on the inside.

This sucks because now I can not back anything up or do anything that requires SU privies. The SU program just force closes when it comes up in any program that needs it. I downloaded another SU program but the old one always comes up. Is there a way to change this or uninstall the other one. I found the same one in the market but it wont install. Maybe cause its read only?
