For iPhone I use ASIHTTPRequest. Is there something similar for Android?
Today i tried to do something that i used to do back in my Alias 2 days (regular cellphone), but couldn't.
Can i record a simple voice message and send it via MMS? It was pretty simple to do with a cell phone...
I saw that the eris comes with a voice recorder, but i recorded a message and was not able to send it.
Any ideas?
Also, when sending pictures via MMS, it always resizes them and obviously the person receiving doesn't get the same quality. I realize that sending via Gmail doesn't resize, but i send to other cell phones a lot.
I'm thinking the only fix is lowering the camera resolution? I think that lowering the resolution is still better than having it resized for the message. Has anyone tried lowering the resolution to a point that the picture does not need to be resized for MMS?
Same thing for Video messages.. can't even send them. Not sure if it's HAndcent, or the file is just to big
My phone keeps telling me I'm low on space, but I cleaned out my sd card and I know I haven room. Just today my phone at the top scroll bar said I was running low on space, and that my text memory was full even though I only had very few.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android so have probably missed something. I'm running a Droid X and looking for a simple way to get a snapshot reading of the battery (% charge mostly). I haven't found it yet on the standard phone, and the battery widgets from the marketplace do far more than I'm looking for and seem to have the side effect of draining the battery anyway.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI posted this question sort of embedded in the "show us your Droid X screen" but I think it got buried with all the "what is that widget?" questions.I see on some screens the picture widget picture is big. Mine is only about 1 inch by 1/2 inch.I can barely even get 1/2 a face in the picture. How do you get a bigger picture?I'm running LauncherPro, is that effecting it?Since I couldn't get a bigger picture, I decided to try and add the slide show widget. But when I try, it says Widget Conflict only one photo slideshow per home screen. I don't have any other slideshow widgets on my screen. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone ran across a simple visor mount/holder that would work for the Motorola Droid? I am not looking for anything elaborate. I would want to reach up and answer the phone and use the phones speaker mode for talking or can be easily removed. Something basically like the bluetooth speakers they have for visors. I am surprised I have not been able to find one.

But, the Xbox 360 isn't seeing it and the Droid displays "Sorry, your SD card is busy (in use.. something like that)."Any other gamer dorks out there had success with this?

View 19 Replies View RelatedI use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

View 1 Replies View RelatedGot a quick question, does anyone know what there built in internal storage capacity was before downloading any apps or when the phone was bone stock. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this weird issue with my newly rooted Droid, whenever I turn on USB Storage, five apps that I have (ShootMe, Factbook, Dictionary.com, TTS for google translate and Battery Gauge Widget) remove themselves from my phone.
I did some searching around my phone and realized that all five of these apps are in a folder called ".android_secure". What can I do about this annoying problem? Can I move them into another folder where all my other apps are or something? Anyone else have a similar problem?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI updated my Nextheme 2.1 droid to the new Froyo (gonna check out Fabs newest in a few minutes here) but one thing I have noticed is that for some reason whenever my droid is connected to a computer it auto starts USB Mass storage. I cannot for the life of me find out where I go to stop this from auto connecting, sometimes I just plug my droid into the computer to charge while I am working. Normally when I want the USB storage enabled I use SD share widget.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was able to move a few files to my X from my computer earlier tonight, but I unplugged it from my computer to do something on the phone, and when I plugged it in later, the computer showed the phone storage (drive F) and SD card (drive G). However, I can't open the SD card, and when I go into the SD Card settings on the phone, it keeps going back and forth between Mount and Unmount. The stuff on the card is there and everything works fine when I'm not connected to the computer. But I can't move anything to my phone via USB since I can't get the computer to recognize the SD card. I also noticed that there's no option to format the SD card (well, it's there, but grayed out).
