I just went to my gallery to delete a few pictures only to notice a bunch of new folders. Named s1 thru s7 and containing pictures I've never seen. Bet it's a news app named pulse I downloaded...

How to seperate pictures in albums into sub folders? its very anoying to scroll through 200+ pics to find one. id like to orginize them for easy viewing. is there an app for this or something in settings? i know you can create folders on your home screens which i have done to seperate apps into groups. but then theres no way to send pics to these folders.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a picture from the web onto my X. I used dropbox. The problem I'm having is I can see the picture when I go to phone files. I copy and paste from dropbox to my picture folder. The picture doesn't show up in the gallery. So just to be sure I copied the picture to a folder called background, its still not there in the gallery. Weird thing is when I go back to the phone files, and look for it. Its there in the gallery folder AND the background folder, but STILL not in the gallery! not sure whats going on there? I just want to make a picture a background thats all. It would be nice to just go into the phone files LONG press a picture and have the "Set As" option. This option only seems to be available in the gallery.

I'm an android newbie, and I would like to create some folders-games, weather, maps, etc. and put corresponding apps in those folders. I would like to place those folders on my homescreen.

Some background info: I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so no SD-Card. Rooted, running Paranormal Android.
So what started bugging me lately is the fact that android just places folders created by apps in my main storage, which ironically is called /sdcard/.
Is there a way to create a folder, for instance: ProgramFiles, and make android place all folders made by apps in that folder? That way only my Music, Movies folder etc would stay in the main storage.
I've seen a few posts about this but nothing to say definitively (thank god for spell check!) if it's possible or not. On my HTC Legend (HTC Sense with Android 2.1) if you go to add and folder from a homescreen you have a choice of All people, Facebook Phonebook, Phones, Starred (Favorites). Is it possible to create another folder that will hold members of a contact group that I have created? I can create a new empty folder but don't know how to put contacts into this instead of other home screen icons (this would do if I can't use contact groups).

I usually view email with attachments from my pc because I usually lack the time to download the attachment. Today, I had some spare time so I tried to download an attachment. It downloaded fine but when I went to view it, I received a pop-up box to save it to the sd card. After pressing ok, I was told the save was successful but now I can't find it. I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to separate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I did a search and found some instructions using Astro file manager however this did not work for me. I bought a new 8gb transcend class 6 for my hero and took out the old card and put the new one in and formatted it. Looked at the original 2 gb card and has lots of folders. Question is: do I have to copy and paste the old folders to the new card or will the phone automatically set up new folders? Phone's relatively new so I don't care about the existing photos and whatnot and do I create specific folders myself i.e. mp3, pics, etc.

I've been playing around with the App Organizer, and been putting things into folders. However, I am trying to do a few things.
Add shortcuts into the groups App Organizer creates, and/or create custom icons for Folders I put on the Home pages.
For example, I have 6 mail accounts (don't ask) and want to put them in a group called mail. Using AppOrganizer, I can only organizer the main mail icon into the group, I want to add the 5 other shortcuts I created for each account. OR I group them into a folder, but I want to change the folder icon to an envelope.
Also, anyone know any good apps that puts email notifications on the top taskbar?

I have a Droid X running Froyo. It's rooted. I really want to organize all my apps into folders but lately different folders have been refusing to open. I click on them and they just don't open. Sometimes it's all of them and sometimes it's just one. If I restart it usually fixes the problem but sometimes I just have to wait for a bit. This is very annoying. I'm not using an alternative launcher or anything. Just the regular Motorola Droid X OS. Just rooted. Any ideas guys? Please let me know. I really want to get things organized again.
