View 1 RepliesI have a particular folder titled "vacation", where I have all my photos from each individual place I've been. I've also downloaded the application "File Cover" [but we'll get back to that later] So the "Vacation" folder has individual sub folders: NY, Miami, Beijing, Canada...etc. When I pull them up in gallery, all the photos show up together. I dont, however want my Beijing folder to show up because it has photos from inportant artifacts and whatnot I dont want everyone to see. I downloaded "File Cover" to hide and password protect them. But they still show up in the gallery in small thumbnails, even though they are locked.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just went to my gallery to delete a few pictures only to notice a bunch of new folders. Named s1 thru s7 and containing pictures I've never seen. Bet it's a news app named pulse I downloaded...
PITA - Takes 5 keystroke to delete 'em.
1 select folder
2 menu select items
3 menu select all
4 menu delete
5 OK
I downloaded a picture from the web onto my X. I used dropbox. The problem I'm having is I can see the picture when I go to phone files. I copy and paste from dropbox to my picture folder. The picture doesn't show up in the gallery. So just to be sure I copied the picture to a folder called background, its still not there in the gallery. Weird thing is when I go back to the phone files, and look for it. Its there in the gallery folder AND the background folder, but STILL not in the gallery! not sure whats going on there? I just want to make a picture a background thats all. It would be nice to just go into the phone files LONG press a picture and have the "Set As" option. This option only seems to be available in the gallery.

View 35 Replies View RelatedIve tried help that i found online, as in hooking up to computer and adding folders, but still, if i go to the gallery i have 2 folders regardless. "my pics" and "all pics". it doesnt show any folders. if i snap a pic itll be in "my pics", any other pic i add just goes into "all pics". this is frustrating as i want it neat and easily navigated... not going thru every picture i have.

I told tmobile that and she said it could be my SIM so I get a new one and that doesn't help. I'm about ready to call them and get a new one through my warranty.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know of a way to create and name new folders within the gallery, and transfer pictures to said gallery? Is there an app that can do this? I would like to be able to better organize all of my pictures rather than having all of them lumped into one folder. Such as a folder for kids, vacation, etc......
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm quite tired of having almost all my pictures in the same folder. Is there a way to create folders on my Desire, so I can seperate my pictures? ... Or have anyone tryed an app which can help me out with my problem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI connected my phone to my computer through disk drive so that I could manage the Gallery. I found my Gallery in the DCIM folder and created three new folders within that folder.
However, if I go to the Gallery on my Desire Z, all my pictures are still lumped into one main folder. A friend of mine, who also has the Z said that his pictures are not in the DCIM folder, but somewhere else on his SD card.
Am I doing something wrong, did I create folders in the wrond location or is something else going on here? It should be possible to have several seperate folders in your gallery, right?
In my gallery I have many folders from my Dropbox account. How do I remove the folders from my Tab3?
View 4 Replies View RelatedLet's say you have some media on your device that you don't want prying eyes to stumble across in your Gallery. As it is right now Android does a stellar job finding your media and adding it to your gallery. I found this video showing how to hide a folder by renaming the folder using Astro and adding a "." to the beginning of the folder name.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe Gallery app that comes with my S III shows all sorts of "junk" folders that are created by apps (e.g. Re-Volt creates a "LOADING" folder with images, another app has created a "cache" folder etc.).
Is there a Gallery replacement that allows you to hide certain folders?
I think QuickPic allows this. Any more?
I'm a photographer so I have the need for several different folders in my gallery for various reasons. So far the only way I have found to move pics between folders is to go: my files>dcim>folder with pic I want to move>long press>select move>select new folder>select move here. One at a time. Are you kidding me? So my questions are:
1. Is there a quicker and easier way to move several pics to different folders?
2. Is there a way to select a folder before I start taking pics so that all the pics I'm about to take go into that folder?
3. Is there a better gallery out there that allows for all of this if the stock one doesn't?
It really seems like I should be able to quickly and easily do what I want from within the gallery. Like a simple drag and drop type of thing. I will be amazed if this isn't there, but I can't find it.
When I go into my gallery for pictures I have roughly 200 pictures, its annoying to find the one I want, is it possible to split them into separate folders (e.g. "Personal", "Wallpapers", "Icons")? I don't mind downloading an app or two to achieve this, I just don't like all my photos being thrown together.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSuppose that into images folder I have several subfolders, say 25. I would like a way to display in Gallery say 2 folders, with the pictures that I desire into each one, without having to physically moving the pictures (because for example each subfolder corresponds to a month, like nokia does: 201201, 201202, etc.)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm fairly new to the Smart Phone. When I go into my picture gallery, is there a way to sort pics? By this I mean make a folder for say, car pics, another for friend pics...etc.. and put the pics into the specific folders, without having to hook it up to my computer with the USB? I find it pretty annoying that my pics are all just scattered throughout one area. I'd prefer to have them organized. Any settings or apps I can get to accomplish this.
HTC One S with "Ice Cream Sandwich".
I updated to Froyo recently on my HTC Desire and noticed that the preview picture on my gallery folders changed. Is there an easy way to change the preview picture of the folder? It seems to be using the first picture in the folder. I tried deleting the folder and recreating it from my computer but didn't work. The first picture in the folder also doesn't seem to be related to the alphabetical order, or date order so not sure why it's even picking that picture as the first one.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf someone sends me a picture through text message, how can I save it to my gallery? Do I need a certain app to do this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI borrowed this from an incredible thread bcuz it is EXACTLY what is happening with my EVO.Pictures in gallery don't focus to their maximum clearness. So with my awesome 8 mega pixel camera I like to take some pictures, and then show them off (obviously using the gallery). But I noticed they turn out good, but if you zoom in a little, like pinch to zoom, then zoom out to the normal size (when the picture originally appears) it gets crisper and soooo much clearer. It's unbelievable. Try it, You'll see what I'm talking about. It's only with pictures the phone takes.I have tried pulling up a picture and waiting for it to auto focus (like it would load or something), but nothing happens. No matter what I do or how long I wait.So does anyone know why this is? I have to pinch and zoom in, then zoom out to the normal size to get the best quality of the photo when viewing it in the gallery and this is getting old Anyone have a solution to this?
