Motorola Droid :: Get Normal Ringtone Back?
Nov 12, 2009So I was playing with the media player and used it to make one of my songs the default ring tone. Now I can't figure out how to undo that. When I go into the sound settings and I try to choose a default ringtone, the whole option is greyed out. How do I get back? There's lots of posts on how to change, but can't find a way to undo

Apr 1, 2012I have a galaxy s2. I tried to send compressed videos via email. Problem is they were still too large and now gmail app isn't working properly. I have done some searching and it looks like my wifi is still trying to send the vids. There are a lot as I tried different compression methods and then resending. I have since deleted the emails which were all 'sending' but still have the problem.
Is there a way for me to get things back to normal? I can't delete the account without deleting all my phones user data as well and I would really like to avoid doing this if possible.

Then i try to use install 86vebc ROM by using CWM v6.0.2.8 and now it's keep on entering CWM again and again even after rebooting.I only able to give the specification as below because i couldn't find the exactly brand or model for my tab.

Jul 15, 2010This is my first android device and i'm loving it... but one thing that irks me is the use, or lack thereof, of the back button.
As I am navigating menus and options in the Settings, I cannot simply go back one menu using the back key. For example, if I go to Settings->Battery Manager->Battery Profile Options and want to go back to the Settings screen, I cannot.
Pushing the back button does nothing and I can only go back to the Settings menu by going Home, then re-entering.
Another quirk regarding the back button is when reading emails. Using a regular email account such as Hotmail, I cannot simply read an email and go back to the inbox using the button.
It makes navigating the phone very tedious.

Nov 11, 2012When I first bought it, I was not happy with the features it was offering so I searched and found out about the CM7(Cyanogenmod 7) mod, and decided that I wanted to try out a modded phone. I've been using CM7 for a few years now and have just plain become unhappy with what they're putting out and decided that I finally wanted my phone back to being normal and rooted. I booted into my clockworkmod(after backing up all apps/data with TitaniumBackup pro & taking pics/vids/etc off through USB) and decided to wipe my sdcard and all other options that Clockworkmod offers. After doing that I realized I made a horrible mistake...every time I go to reboot my phone, it ends up back at the boot menu and at the top it says "Fastboot Mode - No boot or recovery IMG" how would I go about resetting my phone back to a normal OS without being able to transfer stuff onto it without it being booted and having a USB option.

Nov 28, 2009Well have had my hero for around 3 days now. I have recently noticed a creaking sound coming from the home and back buttons. It rarely makes a sound from the menu or search button. But the home and back make this sound if I push the button or if I lightly press down (halfway pushing the buttons).
Is this normal? Do you get this on your hero?

Oct 29, 2010My battery seems to do alright but one thing that has really been bugging me is that every time my battery gets to 30/20% it dies almost instantly lasting no more than 15 minutes from normal usage (texting, checking email).
Is this normal or is mine a bad battery or a battery gone bad rather? Thing is the battery lasts a long except for the last quarter of the battery. I've never seen my battery hit any values below 20% except 5% which is when it turns off immediately after.Call for a replacement battery or is this normal? Do i have to reset my battery or something?

Apr 9, 2010I have an ongoing problem with my Droid that apps will crash if they are not used for a period of time. I've been dealing with it so far by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This morning Google Voice started crashing and I was unable to make a call, so I uninstalled Google Voice, made the call I needed to make, and then reinstalled Voice. While going through the setup, the app crashes and force closes when attempting to sign in. This is not the only app I have problems with. The Amazon MP3 service force closes at random times, and it seems every app I install eventually has to be reinstalled because it starts force closing after a period of time. I do all the normal troubleshooting like clearing the cache and restarting the phone, and it usually doesn't fix it. Is this normal for this phone or do I have a bad one? It's really becoming an annoyance...

As of now, I seem to be out of luck as to find a charger that will properly charge my phone when away from the normal means of charging. Has anyone used any portable batteries with their Droid? Right now, I have an APC Universal Battery 10WH and it doesn't charge my Droid at all. I am looking at the Just Mobile Gum Pro 4400mAh.
I have found that the Droids are very picky about where they get their charges from. I have a wall to usb and a car usb converter that doesn't work with mine or 3 other Moto Droids but will work with any other device that will charge via USB (iPod, GPS, other phones, etc.) Also, I have seen that the Minty Boost will charge the Droid, but their kits are backordered right now.

Aug 11, 2010Question for others who use a Bluetooth headset with their Droid X. I was on a call using my headset for about an hour. During that time, my battery went from 100% down to 60%. Is this normal? This was with a phone I pulled fresh off the charger. When I make calls just using the phone without Bluetooth, it barely drains at all. Anyone else experiencing this?
I went to the Verizon store and the guy there basically said that this phone only had 3 hours of talk time and that is why it drained so much and that with the Bluetooth on it would make it worse. I've used other phones with Bluetooth and not seen battery drain like this.

Today I accidentally removed one of the short keys from the home screen and I'm not able to get it back to it's place. To be more exact, it is the messaging short key which is located on the bottom bar of the screen. The other ones (Phone, Contacts & Applications) are still the, but when I'm trying to return the messaging icon back to the bottom bar, I always end up with the trash can over the area where I'm supposed to place the icon.What can I do, How do I get the icon back on the home screen?

I want to be sure that SU, root, busy box, and everything else included with initial rooting will be completely gone from my phone.
