Handcent SMS
Mixzing
Is there a "msconfig" of sorts where I can stop them from starting on their own or....?
Android :: App To Talk With Contects Skype-to-skype On Droid Phone?
Aug 19, 2009Here is what I would like to do:
I have an HTC Magic and I have a couple of contacts who I frequently talk with on skype. Is there anyway to talk with them skype-to-skype on the Android phone?
The Skype Lite app does not allow calling.
I don't mind either calling using my local minutes OR using my data plan.
Are there any other applications that could assist me with this?

Nov 20, 2010I just installed the 2.2 update on my Incredible. Don't know if it's me but it seems a tad bit slower than the last OS. I'm also noticing on my Advance Task Killer that I have Skype, Amazon MP3, Slacker, Kik, and other applications open most of the time without even touching the apps. Also pressing KILL all applications does not do the job! I gotta hold the application and press force stop myself.
Also earlier today I noticed I got incoming and missed calls from people in my phonebook, but when checking my call logs, it doesnt show their name it just the number and thats it.
So if anyone else is experiencing this please or has a solution to this please reply back.
HTC Droid Eris :: Google Talk - Auto Away - Mobile Indicator Never Work
May 3, 2010My status on Google Talk never changes despite the fact that I have the settings checked in settings to "go to away when I turn off the screen" as well as "show mobile indicator to friends". This wasn't functional in 1.5, 2.1v1 and now 2.1v3 on my Eris. Has anyone had success? I've seen this function work on a TMobile rooted G1 but that's it.
I can watch the indicator change on the web when I change it manually (signed in as another user), and its very responsive. However, no auto-away when i lock the phone, and no indication that I'm on a mobile phone.

May 10, 2010My dad is going overseas and has a BlackBerry Storm with Skype and I have a Droid with Skype. Can I call him overseas for free using skype? I know that if we both used our laptops to talk it would be free, so is there any difference in using skype mobile to skype mobile?

Sep 2, 2010Sorry if this should be somewhere else, but I'm have an X with the leaked 2.2 on it. I've heard about the Skype Mobile update but it's not showing up in my downloads. Wasn't sure if it's a delay or an issue in the fact that I have the leaked 2.2 version on my phone. I can't find it in the Market and I can't find a barcode to compare it to either.

Mar 26, 2010Whenever I use Skype Mobile it seems to reset my Home button (as if I had gone to the application manager and reset to defaults) so I have to keep selecting Helix Launcher every single time after using Skype.
Obviously I check the "Use by default for this action" box each time.
Only Skype Mobile seems to do this. I have also tried powering off and back on.
HTC Incredible :: Google Talk Service Running At Start
May 1, 2010Google talk service starts running as soon as the phone is on, even though the app is closed (with ATK). Anyone know how to prevent it from starting up with the phone? I dont really use gchat on the phone so I dont want it to run unless i open up the app.The same occurs with google voice (which i only have set up for voicemail). This one I dont care too much if its on since at least its useful for voicemail.

Dec 2, 2009Is anybody else having a problem with google talk and receiving a "[somebody] did not receive your chat" message whenever you try to IM somebody? It happens both on my Droid and in the chat client in gmail. The reason I'm asking here is that it only seems to be affecting my buddy and me and we both have Droids. Our friends who don't have droids can talk to one-another, but any message to or from us have issues. Could be coincidence but I thought I'd ask.

Mar 17, 2010So, not much of a Google Talk user, but now and then. And, I mostly use it via my desktop gMail app.. not on my phone.
Anyway, I close out the Talk app, but no matter what, even if it is closed, killed, off, it activates itself when someone sends me a chat.. even if I am logged on via my gMail account.
How the heck can you shut it off? What is it that makes it start up because someone wants to chat. I see no way to stop it and I am not always in the mood or able to chat and do not want to be disturbed but this Google Talk seems to start up and alert you anyway.

Aug 16, 2010Hi everyone, I recently flashed sapphire 1.0.0, frozen yogurt, bugless beast 0.4 with clockwork mod recovery V 2.0.1.3, and had success with all roms above, except for the fact that in sapphire, i'm greeted by the droid setup tutorial, which is completely non-responsive, (I remove the setupwizard.apk from the Gapps .zip which causes it to set up without a hitch), and in all of the mentioned roms, when I attempt to use gmail, gtalk, or the market they all crash on startup. In the market I see a hint of the EULA before im booted back to the home screen. I'm coming from 2.2 build number "voles-userdebug 2.2 FRFxx 49593 test-keys".
