I want to be able to backup the pictures I take from my phone on to my computer EASILY. What is easiest way to do this. I tried to use windows media player and I thought it was going to be really easy, but for some reason the pictures that I took today do not show up. I can see them on my phone, but I can't see them through windows media player. All my pictures prior to today do show up in windows media player.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a 3GS iPhone for a short while and while the device was nice, I didnt like it that much. For one I hate iTunes and did not like the lack of customization. Also, I use Windows Vista and the integration with Outlook 2007 was a pain. I am very intersted in WM devices and Android. What is going to be the best for me considereing the above? Do Android and WM sync with Outlook the same and better than the iPhone?

View 3 Replies View RelatedPerhaps there is a thread already about this but I discovered today that if you long press on an app and then drag it down to the trash can and then hold it on the trash can for a few seconds a text pops up telling you to let go to uninstall.I have uninstaller, but this is a really handy quick way to uninstall a single app. Hope it helps.This applies only to Launcher Pro, apparently it does not work with stock as stated by the below posters. Sorry about the confusion.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI wanna start out by saying I love my droid but on thing that bugs the crap out of me is the finish on the top of the thing. It looks nice and polished for a few weeks but then it starts to chip like crazy. The screen is holding up perfectly its just the corners of the bezel. I think they should have gone wth a matte or aluminum finish or even the soft finish like on the battery cover.
View 31 Replies View RelatedUnless I am entirely missing something (which is certainly possible), I can't seem to easily create a playlist based on all music in a *folder* using the stock music player. I have to select each song one-by-one out of a list of all my songs on the phone, which is tedious and time-consuming. If I'm missing it, please let me know. In the meantime, I downloaded a very basic player called "Player." It does allow you to create playlists based on all music in a folder.
When you navigate to a music folder and select some or all of the music in the folder to play, "Player" creates a temporary playlist with all of the music selected. NOTE: A message pops up saying ONE song has been added to the playlist, but this is incorrect (unless you've only selected one to play). If you've chosen multiple or all of the songs in the folder to play, it actually creates the playlist with all the selected songs in it. Since the playlist created is a temporary playlist, so you must go into the "playlist" area to rename it to what you want. If you don't, then the next time you select a folder to play music from, it will likely overwrite the first temporary playlist with the new one.
It's actually very, very easy (much easier than scrolling through to select each song). The playlists created by "Player" automatically show up in the stock music player as well and can be played there. One negative to "Player" is that it appears to display the wrong album art. If that's a big deal, then simply revert to the stock player and run your playlists from there. I realize there are other music apps in the markets, so this wouldn't apply if you prefer one of those, obviously.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've looked for other threads about editing Swype's dictionary but have found none, so will ask here: I love using Swype Lite (1.16.12.5228) but have found the dictionary and the little word options popup to be less than helpful. I've tried to add words individually per the instructions saying to add each letter carefully then press the space bar, but the new word doesn't seem to be available the next time. And when I do try to enter 1 letter at a time it automatically adds another letter and spaces to each of the letters I'm trying to tap in. I would love to know if I can access Swype's dictionary through the SD card or wherever, and go in there and edit the shit out of it. Anybody know how, or if it's possible?

-first complain is that the eris camera looses focus easily of not perfectly still,ok granted it might just be me holding it wrong
-second and worse of all is when trying to take a night shot I know its not going to be great.
I just got my droid incredible. Seems like a decent phone but for some reason my facebook pics won't sync with the comparable contacts. On my old blackberry this was automatic but for some reason it won't work on this phone. Also do you guys leave your fb signed in all the time? I don't mind leaving it like this but I'm wndering if it will always how me as being on fb if i'm always signed in from my phone.

So, some pictures show up on the phone, and others do not. Should I wait a few hours or something? Is there some pictures that will work in GMail, but the phone rejects? I'm not all broken up over this, but it sure is inconvenient.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Galaxy SII GT-I9100 to the latest official 4.1.2 JB, and wiped my phone beforehand so I could have everything from scratch.
All my contacts are in Gmail with hi-res pictures set there, so I did not worry about having lo-res pictures after Google supposedly fixed the picture quality issue.
Thing is, after I set my Google account on the fresh installation, it indeed synced each contact's picture, but in lo-res!
I noticed sometimes, when I opened up the contact and waited a few moments, the picture was automatically changed for the hi-res version, as if the cellphone only downloaded it "on demand".
How to truly make it download every contact's HD picture properly without having to open each contact's picture?

Is there a way to have your images on your SD card backed up to Picasa as an automated process? I think I lost some recently after I did a factory reset the image numbers started over I think and it has overwritten about 50 images.
View 2 Replies View Relatedjust a minor inconvenience: I used to have my phone set to sync with google, which alerted me every time I received an email. I then found out that google sync was causing an issue with my contact pictures, taking them from facebook and resizing them. it caused them to looked pixelated or "zoomed in" in hilli billy terms. So now I have it set to never sync with google. So now I never receive a notification when I receive an email. Anyone know a way I can set it to sync only to gmail and not sync the contacts? I don't really need to sync them anyway, as I have backup assistant for that purpose.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI mostly use my smartphone to take pictures and the iCloud photo stream sharing option is great for sharing pictures with close family members. Apple makes it ridiculously easy to do this quickly with a few clicks. My parents love it because they can easily see the pictures we share with them on their iPhones and iPads.
However after using a Nexus 4 for a month, I am thinking of making a switch to Android permanently. It is a great phone. However the inability to sync pictures with the iCloud photo stream is giving me second thoughts. The Google+ sharing feature is not very intuitive...or at least it is not as easily done. Since I've got my parents trained on iOS, and the Photo album contains every thing in one place, I don't want to try to get them used to a new app.
Is there an easy way to sync pictures that you take on your Android device with your iCloud photo stream without having to plug the phone to a laptop?
How do you get pictures imbedded in e-mails to show up? They are giving me the ? rather than the pic. It seems I can seem them went sent from other gmail users, but not regular e-mail senders.From what I read, this is the same with other Android phones, why wouldn't 2.0 fix this?
