Why in the world would Google not support this? I have not found a solution that does this as a "backup". I have Lookout but it does not backup your SD card. Is there a way to have your images on your SD card backed up to Picasa as an automated process? I think I lost some recently after I did a factory reset the image numbers started over I think and it has overwritten about 50 images.

Is there a way to set up the droid to automatically sync with all of the pictures from your picasa web albums? There's a lot of pictures that I have on picasa that I would like to have on my phone.
View 49 Replies View RelatedI have the google drive application on my desktop so that I store all my files both on my pc and in the cloud, but is there a way to have google drive on my phone and to automatically upload pictures I take using the phones camera but not to have all my files downloaded and synced to my phone as I don't need to have all my files in three places, is there a way of using my phone to view all of my files and possibly download them as if they were on my phone but not actually have them sitting there taking up all my space
so it would be like having the gallery I currently have and being able to view all my photos pretty much as normal but instead it is all stored online
when I say files I only mean photos and videos.
I finally found how to stop this tool from uploading pics automatically. I was so relieved to find this solution because Picasa was starting to upload pics that I don't even remember taking.
On your phone: go to---->
1) settings
2) accounts and sync
3) click on your gmail account
4) uncheck Sync Picasa Web Albums (and for good measure if you want also uncheck Sync Instant Upload and Sync Google Photos)
5) now hit back and sync all
Now go into your gallery and the folder that says 'Instant Upload' should be gone.
Uploading pictures to picasa always fails in my phone. Does anybody has faced similar problem. It always says retrying after 1 minute, 3 minute.

The Motorola Droid definitely had this option, but on the Incredible it looks like it only lets me apply a "Label", which I'm unfamiliar with, though this does not actually move the e-mail to that folder.
Seems that camera is saving pictures darker than originally taken. Anyone else notice this? To test i took a couple pics of my computer monitor, they are nice and bright just after camera takes the pic but when i go to albums to view them they are considerably darker. I even bumped the brightness all the way up to +3 that helped some but still dark.

I've got an iMac, which has its own apple calendar. I can also obviously use Google calendar. My Droid Incredible has a calendar app. I think it is the Google calendar.
Is there any reasonable and easy way to automatically sync calendars between my Incredible and my iMac?
Should the incredible just automatically sync with my computer? When I had my droid I just plugged it in and the droid said " do you want to sync" and I choose yes and I could go into "my computer" and into my phones files to drag and drop files etc, this phone is not giving me that option.
Secondly how much memory should be available under phone memory? Mines has 701mbs available but nothing saved to the 16gb card I have. How do I move things currently saved to the phone under the memory card?
I can't believe they removed the cool 3D gallery application, which will automatically show your Picassa pics, for the new crappy one. Here are some instructions and a link to add the old one to your Droid X so you can view and share Picasa pics!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure how to explain this. If I take a picture with my camera, it looks great on my phone. Colors are deep and full and the sharpness is fine. However, when I mail it to myself or try to access it from my computer, the colors look washed out and flat. It's not really a blown highlight problem and I'm shooting at 8MP. Here's an example:

On my old blackberry this was automatic but for some reason it won't work on this phone. Also do you guys leave your fb signed in all the time? So, some pictures show up on the phone, and others do not. Should I wait a few hours or something? Is there some pictures that will work in GMail, but the phone rejects? I'm not all broken up over this, but it sure is inconvenient.
Droid Incredible 2.2 no root default camera app user. When I tap to focus on the camera and am really close to something it goes from blurry to sharp and then blurry at the last second (when it snaps the picture) I took this video to demonstrate what I mean. Is there any way to take a picture like this? Or to manually focus with the stock camera app? Or an app that will help me take good quality macro pics of coins, pins, etc. I will pay for an app. I saw posts with the macro camera lens but I have no desire to glue a metal washer onto my camera lens.

I have a bunch of pictures on my phone, but there are a lot of random ones I want access too but take up a lot of room. If I upload them to Picasa and sync the folder does it save the pictures to the devices or are they only accessible over a data connection? Also, will I lose quality by using the picasa method?

View 23 Replies View RelatedI thought 2.1 would bring picasa support to our phones, since the moto droid on 2.1 has it, but apparently our photo gallery doesn't have this feature. It seems odd that they would include flickr and Facebook sync but not google's own service? Does anyone else have an app that will sync or access picasa? Their mobile site doesn't auto sync and doesn't let you view all your albums.

Under my account sync settings in Android, along with Gmail and Contacts and all that, I've got "Sync Google Photos" and "Sync Picasa Web Albums".
What's the difference between these two choices?
I am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.
I used to have T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream), and when it captured a picture, it set the name of it automatically to the exact time and date in which the picture was taken (for example, a picture I have on my computer: 2011-11-14 08.04.54.jpg).Then I switched to MyTouch4GSlide, and it indexes the pictures, so the names are "IMAG0001.jpg", "IMAG0015.jpg" and so on.I want to return to the previous state, i.e. make the phone name pictures according to the time.if I look hard enough I'll find some image-capturing app which does that, but I'd like to stick to the given image-capturing interface.I am posting this in the general Android forum because I guess it's not just in my device.

I took pictures, but they didn't upload to Picasa. Can I set this up natively? I've been using Photobucket, but I'd prefer a Google service if it works better.
