Oct 24, 2010I'm finally leaving cable and going Direct TV on Monday. Direct TV says with their app I can watch any of the channels I subscribe to on my Droid X.

Long press the homescreen (or setup in Launcher Pro Dock) and select Shortcut, Folder Organizer Item, Direct Call, choose from your contact list. For the Direct Text using Folder Organizer Lite again. Mar 27, 2010I have been trying out new ROM's and it's been fun. Here is my biggest headache with doing this. I have about 10 contacts that are Direct Dial (speed dial to the rest of the world). What I do is put them in a folder as a shortcut to prevent accidental dialing. But I have to constantly redo this set up. Is there a way to save a folder and it's contents, such as direct dial numbers, to my sd card and bring it back with each new ROM or launcher? Starred folder doesn't work for me as it's more clicking when I am driving. The app Direct Dial still takes several clicks.

Nov 8, 2010I have the epic 4g obviously. I live in a 3g area. Using wifi or 3g i am unable to get this app to stream games, i've tried redownloading the app and such. I used to be able (just weeks ago) to get this to work on my moment phone, it didnt work well but at least it worked. with the epic i get nothing streaming.

Nov 12, 2009Ok, forgice my noobishness, but I am not sure if I have a problem or not. I have been reading a lot about how some people Droids open up apps spontaneously. I think that may be happening to me. They don't open up on the screen but lets say I kill all the running apps with taskiller or advanced task killer, and then I open up either task manager and bam, there is a whole bunch or crap running without me actually opening anything up.

Oct 20, 2010I was wondering if there was an app that connects to your computer and can show the temps of your CPU,GPU, etc. of your computer on your phone so while you are playing a game you can check your phone app to see what the stats of your computer are.
I got this idea after checking Prriforms Speccy, on my computer and wishing I could see this info without closing my game.

Jun 8, 2010Well I recently installed Nexfro. I like it a lot. No complaints Fabulous did a great job. However the 2.2 messaging app. I can't stand it and I loved the 2.1 messaging app (enough to just go back to 2.1 if I can't get it) so I was wondering if anyone could give me the .apk file so I could manually install it on my droid. Please and thanks . I'd do this myself, but I don't know how.

Jul 29, 2010Is there an app that shows what is using the battery? On my Droid it would actually show what was using the battery: Display, slacker, dolphin, live wallpapers, etc. On my X when I check battery usage the only thing it ever says is: display, cell standby, phone idle. It never shows live wallpaper, slacker, or anything else I run. I am wondering how much battery these other apps are using, particularly the live wallpaper. Any suggestions for a 3rd party app I can run for a couple days to see what is really using my battery.

Oct 24, 2010hi i am currently unrooted Droid X after i recently restored my phone using the 2.2 SBF. i redownloaded most of my old applications but a few of them for some reason will just not install and i just get the yellow /! mark that says "install unsuccessful" everytime. specifically angry birds and i few other paid apps do this to me and i really want to install them. i tried clearing market data and cache in settings but still did not work. so any help with this?
