View 16 RepliesWhat do you all think of the quality of the pictures on your DX's? No need to post pictures..... just want your opinions. Maybe rate 1 - 10 with 10 being best. I hated the pictures I took on my Droid 1. The quality was poor at best. Especially inside. I've taken a few with the DX using Vignette and they are pretty good.
View 47 Replies View RelatedI thought something was wrong with my specific phone. But, once I spoke to some buddies they explained they were having same issues. Inside, and night photos are horrible. Outside shots with no movement are ok. 5 Megapixels,, quality seems more like 2 megapixels.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know the camera saves pictures to the SD card, but I can't find them there using OI File Manager, or plugging it into my laptop!
The pictures are there, because I can view them and see them listed under "Albums". Under "Albums" it shows a folder called "Camera Shots", but when I look on the card, there is no such folder, nor can I find the pictures that are in it, anywhere else!
All I can see is the folder called "Saved photos" via the OI File Manager, under "Albums", and via my computer.
very strange... When I take pictures from my camera and view them from my camera app it looks fine. But when I open my gallery and try to view my pictures they come out all blurred. Can someone help me out?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am hard to impress and this device really impresses me. No bugs or issues yet that I haven't been able to fix. Camera works great. Screen is beautiful. Everything is solid. Call quality is great. Signal is rock solid (better, in fact, than my old LG, which was itself good). GPS is crazy accurate (can tell which couch I'm sitting on within the same room).
Motorola, Google, and Verizon is a team that's hard to match if the owner is ready to invest the time in setting up the device properly.
Is it possible that someone could create an App for the Camera to improve picture quality? Is it even possible to improve things like Shutter speed, blurriness, grain in picture and ISO through an App?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been rooted for a long time and I've always remembered terrible photos, I mean absolutely terrible with this phone and I've been fine with it. A couple days ago my cousin and I finally got to sit down and root his phone, he was at 2.1 and I now have him at 2.2 with BB. Yesterday he asked me about the camera quality diminishing and if it was a common effect of rooting and I didn't believe it was. So anyway, does anyone have any experience with the camera losing quality after root? Like I was saying, I've always thought mine was shitty and I just lived with it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am extremely happy with my DX. My only complaint is the quality of the camera in low light. Every picture I take looks grainy. At times the flash washes everything out. I know it's just a camera and I shouldn't expect much, but for such a great device that does everything else, it's a bit of a bummer. I've been looking at low light photos from the SF and they appear to be worlds apart. Does anyone have any hints to get decent looking photos in low light?

heres my other problem with the camera: http://androidforums.com/support-troubleshooting-droid-x/129512-video-quality-has-been-tremendously-bad-since-update.html
When viewing my gallery I get little thumb nails of each photo. One of the photos is a gray box with a rectangle and a exclamation mark on it. If I click the gray thumb nail, my photo comes up perfect. Why the gray thumb nail?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently got my HTC incredible. When I try to send a camera shot via SMS text, it tells me the image is too large and it crops it down to a size that is not legible by anyone with a non-DROID phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I send camera shots via email using HTC's Mail application, the photos are not readable by most recipients (except, interestingly enough, by my wife on her blackberry). Same photos sent by the gmail app are fine. The photos appear as attachments, but they cannot be viewed and when the recipient tries to download, a jpg that is only a fraction of the total size is saved and that file is not viewable either.
View 6 Replies View RelatedA few weeks back, when I was considering to switch to Galaxo or not, we had a thread here mentioning an odd issue,
Every 3rd picture taken with the camera app would be bad (or just a dud).
At the time, I couldn't reproduce the issue and it didn't bother me. But, just today afternoon (and a bit early in the week), I encountered something similar - every other picture had a 50% chance of being bad (just blank). It got to the point that the camera was just un-usable. I spent a good bit of time investigating this and I think I have an explanation. But first, let me walk you through what I did.
By default, I keep my camera to take 5 Megapixel shots at "super fine" setting. With that, I couldn't take any good shots AT ALL. I reduced it to 1M and "normal" setting. Things were a bit better, in that now only every other shot was bad. But, at least I was able to use the camera.
I use 3 desktop screens filled with widgets. I disabled most of my widgets and reduced the number of screens to 2. (I'm running Drakaz's darksense theme for Galaxo 1.6.3 ). With this, the camera was MUCH better. In fact, I could take 5 shots continuously without any problems (testing at home).
In some ways, it looks like I was stretching the limits of my i7500 a bit too much and so, the camera just didn't work right, but I can live with fewer screens and fewer widgets.
I miss the Handcent SMS widget, but from what I observed, its too resource-intensive for my needs. The only widgets I use now are from "Jorte" , the organizer app (really good too!) and "SMS Im Away".
So, for those of you who need the camera in working order, consider disabling a few screens and widgets.
I was wondering if there is a way to change or create a shortcut to take me directly to my camera shots instead of having to choose
photos --> camera shots...? I have Bettercut and using LauncherPro.
i have been told that i need a certain app called spell numbers to see emoji (little pictures) on my droid. This app is available on the itunes store but not the android market. Is there anyone who can make this app available for droid? And give us a way to take screen shots of everything? Not just the web. I mean anything i see on my screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAny programs that allow you to take a screen shot on the Droid X?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI cant figure out where these get stored? None of the shots or the whole panoramic appears in my gallery after creating one. Also how do you change it from 6 shot to 3 shot? I heard that was an option?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDo you think there will ever be a app for screen shots and i wont have to be rooted... WTF
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's nothing special but I got my 5 Droid X home screens set up, for now, using LauncherPro and figured I'd take capture a few screen shots. I like to keep everything simple and clean with apps put in seperate "sections" without having a bunch of widgets in the way. Feel free to ask any questions and if you want screen caps of certain things let me know.
View 47 Replies View RelatedI have a few videos on my SD card. A couple that were downloaded but most have been recorded with the phone. I have all tha videos sorted into folders so I know which is which. But, today when I opened the gallery to view a picture there was a new folder created called "camera shots" with all the videos in it, or which I thought were the videos. When I opened the folder all the files were a picture of the beginning of each video and were shrunken down so small they are really hard to see. When I looked at the properties of each they all had the file ending in png. Anyone have any idea what png is and has anyone else had your phone recreate the "camera shots" folder without you taking any new pictures or videos?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI love my HTC Incredible, but I've compared my Incredible to my friend's Incredible. The camera quality is TOTALLY different. We set both phones on the same setting. His picture is crisp and can take detail quality picture without any flickering or noise problem, but mine totally craps out.
View 1 Replies View RelatedQuality of their Front Facing Camera? I recently received a refurb from Sprint and noticed that my pics come out like this... The back camera is perfect, just the front looks like this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor those who don't know yet. The desires back cover has a camera lens protector made by very cheap plastic, that scratches very easily. When this happens, the pictures will have a "glowing", blurry, un sharp look. What I did was removing the piece of transparent plastic "lens protector" on the back cover and then used a small piece of screen protector and sticked it on the lenses. Even without it the chances you actually scratch the lens is virtually none. So now I have a hole in my back cover, but I dramatically improved my picture and video quality.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI remarked to my wife that the video shot with my new EVO looked like home movies from when we were kids. I then saw that the EVO shoots at 24 fps which explains the home movie video look. Will/can the Froyo update improve the video and or camera quality? It's not a deal breaker but when you have kids it's nice to have a video camera with you at all times. I've got 3 more weeks left on my 30 day trial period. I know the i Phone 4 will shoot at 30 fps and the test images I've seen are considerably better than my EVO.
