Yes, I admit I am partially deaf from all the Hair Band concerts that I went to when I was younger but I can not hear at all on the incredible. I have the volume all the way turned up and I have the hardest time hearing. I mean it has to be dead quiet for me to hear the person talking to me.

Just got my Incredible and love it. I charged it up last night for the second time. Turned it on this morning and all looked good. Received a call this morning and I could hear the caller but they could not hear me. Several more incoming calls and the same issue. Then I made some calls...I could hear the person but they could not hear me. Finally turned phone off and back on and it is now fine. Mute was not on.....anyone know what this could be?

One of which is when someone calls me or I call them depending on what "mood" my phone is in the person on the other line cannot hear me. Also since about two days ago it's been happening almost everyday, now the hitch pitched "Beep" is accompanying the problem of the person on the other line not being able to hear me. I can get around it, I have toe reset my phone twice. Yep, twice. I reset it the first time and it does nothing. Still same ol' high pitched "beep" and no one can hear me. No matter how long I wait on the phone or how many phone calls I make. After the second reset it works with no problems.

View 3 Replies View Relatedshooting out emails etc. then, someone called me, i answered, and it connected, but i could not hear anyone. after some troubleshooting, this is what i've concluded: if i call someone non-speaker phone, neither the other party or myself can hear each other, even though it is connected. if i am on speaker phone, they can hear me, i cannot hear them on bluetooth it's fine, i can hear them and they can hear me. i just got the phone, and i cant send or receive calls? i talked to verizon tech dept, and they were like, whoa that's weird, and read me some tips and tricks on calling that is in the pamphlet that came with the phone. they said to do a factory reset. i really think it should be working, i've spent the past 6 hours customizing it, and i really dont want to reset everything, in hopes it "might" fix the problem.

I've noticed that the songs which were pre-loaded on the phone are louder than the ones I've uploaded from itunes. If it isn't a techno/hiphop song (and I listen to classical mostly) I can hardly hear the tracks when I'm walking around town, even with noise-cancelling headphones. I never had this problem with the iPhone, so this is a little frustrating.
Sorry if this has been posted before, I'm new to this site, but does anybody else think the volume on the inc is just too low? I keep the volume all the way up, but when I'm in my car or just outside with other surrounding noises, I just cant really hear it. It's useless to even put the ringer volume halfway or less, you could barley hear it at all. Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem?

But the caller on the other end hears it too and they always end up saying 'WTF was that noise'? How to turn this off so callers don't hear the vibrate mode too?

I love my Droid the only problem I have so far is I wish I had a "phone only" mode like on Blackberry. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am having an intermittent problem where callers can't hear me for 6-10 seconds when they call. This is a t best embarrassing and frequently they hang up. As I say the problem is intermittent - sometimes the phone answers as usual. Interestingly, I can hear them talking (and usually saying 'hello? hello?) but they can't hear me and I just keep saying hello until they hang up or until the sound kicks in and we can converse.
I did a factory reset with no improvement, and have also downloaded the PC updater and updated the system with no improvement. Then, I spoke to a friend the other night who described an identical problem with his X10.
My friend is having a problem with her droid. When she is on the phone talking it is constantly, muting her voice or something cuz no1 can hear her. she just got the phone less than a week ago. I read online and found a bunch of stuff about the proximity sensor and the software issues, however those were all dated last year around winter time. So I am trying to see if there is a current fix for it. I see on the forums people have some problems with hardware on their incredibles but I didn't see a thread for the droid. Basically she can hear people talking but no1 can hear her and it happens like every other phone call.

Sometimes it will take 3 or 4 calls before it starts working again. Tried figuring out if it's a specific area (which it appeared to be) but now it's worse and happening all over the place. View 4 Replies View RelatedOk so me and my girlfriend both got evo's and the first couple times i used qik it worked fine. but now for some reason if she calls me (via qik video chat) i cant hear any sound from her but she hears me fine. but if i call her she doesn't get sound and i hear her fine!?! wtf? also while on the video chat one phone will have the microphone icon being displayed on bottom corner and other phone wont. is there something i can do to fix? is it an issue with phone or the qik app itself? just in case, it IS the version that is for the EVO on both phones
