Motorola Droid X :: People Cannot Hear Me Speaker Phone
Aug 28, 2010People cannot hear me on speaker phone. I'm not sure if it's because I SBF'ed back to stock, which may be different than when I first got the phone? Other than that, my phone is perfect. I would hate to have to go through a refurb. I was wondering if it was possibly a software issue.

Jul 1, 2010My friend is having a problem with her droid. When she is on the phone talking it is constantly, muting her voice or something cuz no1 can hear her. she just got the phone less than a week ago. I read online and found a bunch of stuff about the proximity sensor and the software issues, however those were all dated last year around winter time. So I am trying to see if there is a current fix for it. I see on the forums people have some problems with hardware on their incredibles but I didn't see a thread for the droid. Basically she can hear people talking but no1 can hear her and it happens like every other phone call.

May 8, 2013I've notice lately, after flashing a custom rom, that during calls I can barely hear people on the other end yet they hear me fine. I have check all volume levels on my phone. Even with the call volume all the way up and on speaker is still very hard to hear.

Aug 27, 2010So I just found out that when I'm on speakerphone, people can't hear me. I then actually called myself with another phone and realized that I can't hear myself at all when I set the phone to speaker mode! When I turn off speakerphone and talk into the mic the voice is loud and clear, but the moment I turn it on boom the other end hears nothing.

Nov 8, 2010I keep getting complaints that people can't hear me because my voice is too quiet however I can hear phone calls just fine. This started happening when I upgraded to Froyo. I wiped the phone but that didn't seem to help. Is there anything else I can do? Is there a mic volume I'm missing?

May 21, 2010The 'People' widget has all my phone contacts that I synced with Gmail. The 'Phone' contacts are everyone I have as a friend on Facebook. I do not want all my FB friends showing up in the 'Phone' contacts and there does not appear to be a way to delete them. In other words, there are "friends" I have on FB that I have no desire to call and I just don't want them in my phone. Is there any way to make the 'Phone' contacts match the 'People' widget?

May 18, 2010Ever since the OTA update, my contacts have been a mess. Before the update, I had the people I put in my contacts and they were linked to Facebook so their photos would show. They were the only ones that would show up in my call list when I went to the Phone app. However now, although my contacts are still just the people I had listed, whenever I go to my Phone app I'm left with a list of every Facebook friend I have. This is especially annoying when I have to see people with numbers like "ask me" or even people I just don't ever want to call. Also, in my contacts, now e-mails and numbers from people's Facebooks are also posted, and I just want the ones I entered in my phone to show up. Can anyone help me get back to the way my contacts used to be?

Dec 31, 2009I have two contacts in there currently and want to get rid of them and start over. Can't figure out any way to do it. I even went into 'manage applications' and found the widget and cleared the cache and data and the dang thing still shows the same two contacts that I want to get rid of. This widget is pretty useless. Can't put in multiple instances of the same contact (like one for cell and one for home), yet you also can't seem to just set it to take you to their contact info when you click on a person - you have to choose a default.

Jul 5, 2010So the phone has been a bit quirky since the OTA, but nothing major. However, today I was on the internet and the phone totally crashed and then began to reboot. However it has been stuck in reboot mode since then, going from HTC to Verizon screens over and over. I've removed the battery twice, and let it sit, and nothing. Still stuck. It was not charging and I do not have it rooted. It just plain crashed.

Mar 12, 2010I've tried AutoLock and LockBot and maybe I didn't set an option correctly, but I can't seem to get a password or pattern unlock after a reboot/power off/on cycle.Both work fine during normal power on operations, but when I power cycle the phone it just comes up with the normal swipe unlock right into an open Eris with no password/pattern required. Kind of defeats the purpose by allow a bypass of the security.Maybe I'm missing something here or having a Homer moment.

Jan 6, 2010First off, I apologize if I start a new thread when one already exists. I tried searching, but couldn't find anything related to my issue.
The issue:
When I have to restart my phone, all apps stop responding, including phone, google apps, everything. I can't make calls, I don't have a signal, nothing works really. The solution: uninstall recently installed applications, and that fixes it.
However, I wonder if there is something else going on causing this. The reason: Yesterday I installed Backgrounds (a popular 4-5 star application from Android Market). I had to reboot my phone (locked up), when I did, nothing was responding, got messages like acore, gapps, and other apps stopped unexpectedly. I removed Backgrounds, restarted again, and everything worked. My wife uses Backgrounds, but her phone doesn't stop working when she has to restart. Why is this happening on my phone? Is there another app causing interference?
