View 23 RepliesNow I'm on froyo with root Everything is fine. Besides I can't hear people when they call and they can't hear me. Like my Mic and my speaker is disabled?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my microphones and was wondering if anyone else had the same issues? Pretty much no one can hear me if I call them, If I set it to speaker they can hear me fine (via top mic) but when I try to talk normally, still the same muted mic. I cant find any settings for this and I have tried rebooting the device. Anyone know what may be causing this or maybe I got a defective X?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can receive calls and call out but I cant hear anything. At first I thought it was because the network was down but that's not the case. I then check to see if mute was on and the volume was up. Everything seems fine but maybe someone can point me into the right direction.
View 8 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else experience poor sound quality on the other end? People always complain that it sounds like: I am in a tunnel, underwater, or on speakerphone. When none of the above are true. I hear everyone fine, but for them it is not mutual. My phone is a droid on verizon.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy friend is having a problem with her droid. When she is on the phone talking it is constantly, muting her voice or something cuz no1 can hear her. she just got the phone less than a week ago. I read online and found a bunch of stuff about the proximity sensor and the software issues, however those were all dated last year around winter time. So I am trying to see if there is a current fix for it. I see on the forums people have some problems with hardware on their incredibles but I didn't see a thread for the droid. Basically she can hear people talking but no1 can hear her and it happens like every other phone call.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I updated to 2.2 OTA this morning and since then I cannot hear anyone and they cannot hear me while making phone calls. I tried the *228 and reprogrammed my phone with no luck. Is anyone else having this issue?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe only fix is to hard reset. waiting on a replacement but was curious if anyone else had this issue...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have experienced making a call where I can hear the other person on the line but they can't hear me. Also, why does ending a call take forever. Also the the voice dialer can't even recognize what I am saying it always gives me the wrong information in need. Is there a calibration for the voice dialer to train my voice?
View 3 Replies View Relatedshooting out emails etc. then, someone called me, i answered, and it connected, but i could not hear anyone. after some troubleshooting, this is what i've concluded: if i call someone non-speaker phone, neither the other party or myself can hear each other, even though it is connected. if i am on speaker phone, they can hear me, i cannot hear them on bluetooth it's fine, i can hear them and they can hear me. i just got the phone, and i cant send or receive calls? i talked to verizon tech dept, and they were like, whoa that's weird, and read me some tips and tricks on calling that is in the pamphlet that came with the phone. they said to do a factory reset. i really think it should be working, i've spent the past 6 hours customizing it, and i really dont want to reset everything, in hopes it "might" fix the problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHowever i have come across a few problems. One of which is when someone calls me or I call them depending on what "mood" my phone is in the person on the other line cannot hear me. Also since about two days ago it's been happening almost everyday, now the hitch pitched "Beep" is accompanying the problem of the person on the other line not being able to hear me. I can get around it, I have toe reset my phone twice. Yep, twice. I reset it the first time and it does nothing. Still same ol' high pitched "beep" and no one can hear me. No matter how long I wait on the phone or how many phone calls I make. After the second reset it works with no problems.
View 8 Replies View RelatedRecently, for no reason apparent to me, my HTC Desire is making no sound whatsoever when I receive or make a call.I can hear calls if I have the speaker on or if I have a headset plugged in. I also have no problem listening to music through the speaker or headphones. My phone is a black orange branded HTC Desire running the 2.1 software. I am using the 3 network.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can hear myself speak during phone calls! This is really annoying.Does anyone know how to fix this?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWeird problem which I encountered for the first time today. The missus called me and I couldn't hear her, and she couldn't hear me. We could text each other fine though. I'm currently using a Desire on T-Mobile UK with the first version of 2.2 (complete with German apps by mistake).
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt started yesterday and like the title says I can only hear calls when I put my phone on speaker phone. This happens both when I make calls and receive them. Anyone know how I can fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the HTC Hero recently, and I got this problem ever since. When I speak with someone on the phone, his or her voice is barely hearable. Literally, I have to ask the person on the other side to repeat her or himself 2-3 times before I'm actually able to hear her/him. So, long story short: the volume is abnormally low. What I've tried: volume control apps. They're all set at maximum volume. Hard-reset.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSometimes when Im on the phone I can hear myself at a slight delay/echo through the ear piece. Rather annoying as I hate the sound of my own voice lol! Im with orange. Is this a phone prob or network?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just bought my Motorola Droid on Tuesday. Took it back on Thursday. People said I sounded muted, muffled, or in a tunnel. They gave me a brand new Droid and it is doing the same thing. When I am using my bluetooth, my fiancé can hear me perfectly. I love the Droid and this seems to be the only issue.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI keep my phone on vibrate most of the time and I've found that when I'm on the phone talking to someone and I get a new email, the phone vibrates so I can hear it, which is great. But the caller on the other end hears it too and they always end up saying 'WTF was that noise'? How to turn this off so callers don't hear the vibrate mode too?
View 24 Replies View RelatedCan anyone tell me what to do?My xperia mini just stopped ringing, so I can not hear my incalls.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen listening to my music and an incoming call comes in, you cant hear the ringtone in my headset. The only time you hear it is when you press the button to accept the call for about 1 second.
View 4 Replies View RelatedLast night I was driving home listening to MP3's on my droid and with the phone sitting speaker up I could hear the music just fine...nice and loud.
Today, none of my sound is audible unless it is extremely quiet in in the room or I'm holding the speaker right to my ear (I didn't hear my alarm this morning either )
All the sound setting are at max. Anyone else having this issue or know how I can get my sound to go up again?
So I just found out that when I'm on speakerphone, people can't hear me. I then actually called myself with another phone and realized that I can't hear myself at all when I set the phone to speaker mode! When I turn off speakerphone and talk into the mic the voice is loud and clear, but the moment I turn it on boom the other end hears nothing.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPeople cannot hear me on speaker phone. I'm not sure if it's because I SBF'ed back to stock, which may be different than when I first got the phone? Other than that, my phone is perfect. I would hate to have to go through a refurb. I was wondering if it was possibly a software issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis has happened twice now. If I turn off, then back on it works again. Has this happened to anyone else?
PS - everything seems to work fine the rest of the time.
I'm speaking as a formal HTC user, Had the HTC Eris for over 6 months, before that, the palm Pre.... and being around my mother with her HTC Hero (cdma) her phone ringing all day long it was impossible to ignore that thing, dang loud and clear.
My previous phones both had VERY loud and rich speakers on them (the speaker the ringer/music/sound affects come out of), even in some noisy environments it was impossible to miss a call when I had service, just the week that I've had the droid X, I've missed several calls either from not noticing the vibrator in looser pockets or its just too dang quiet.
Speaker placement is bad too, sitting the phone on a slighty soft surface like a chair can muffle the speaker to nearly impossible to hear 6 feet away.
I'm hoping the droid X doesnt have a hardware deficiency and that this can be fixed through software... My best buddy has the droid x also, his is just the same, very quiet vs my old Eris put side to side.
So when I'm on a call, during the call I keep hearing an ongoing Beeep in the background. It's loud, distracting, and annoying. This began happening after the 2.2 update. Otherwise, everything is working ok. It's possibly a timer, or something, how can I shut if off...
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've now heard this from a few different callers (2 in the last day). They are hearing an echo of their voice. They are calling me and it's happened when I have called them.I'm calling from my phone (no bluetooth or speaker). When it's happened I've called back and it's cleared the issue, a couple of times it hasn't. Do you think it's a hardware or network issue?
View 28 Replies View RelatedI love my Droid the only problem I have so far is I wish I had a "phone only" mode like on Blackberry. There are times where I like having all the sounds muted, but still want to have the phone ringtone on so that way I can hear the phone. I haven't found a way to do this yet, does anyone know how to?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI listen to my VM on speaker sometimes when Im doing something and the volume on that is VERY VERY low. Anyone else having this? Anyway to make it louder? Its lower than even my ring tones or alerts. Is there a hack or anything to make it louder?
