After I upgraded to the leaked 2.2, and I've put some more apps on my phone, when i go to Appbrain, it still shows those *new* apps I've put on after the upgrade as "Cancel Install", rather than "Installed".

Any way to get rid of it without removing flash? If I tell it to update it says "The requested item could not be found." and goes back to the appbrain screen. Not a major issue but its getting annoying seeing it in there any time I go into AppBrain to force-sync my phone to appbrain.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI recently read that AppBrain updated their app to v5.0 but that the Fast Web Installer that pushing apps to your phone from Appbrain.com WITHOUT having to go through the Market is broken with the v5.0 update because of changes with the Market's recent update.

QUESTION: does the Fast Web Install still work with earlier versions of AppBrain?? I have kept v4.8 installed on my phone but I'm having a problem with the Fast Web Install. I'm not sure if I'm experiencing a temporary issue or if the Market update is affecting ALL versions of the Appbrain fast web push?
So the other day I went to download an app out of the market. The download finished, but it seems my phone decided to auto-reboot itself in the midst of the installation. After the reboot completes, I go back to the market, reselect the app, and it's hung at "Installing..." (And when I say "hung," the market is still fully functional except that one app). I'm given no option to cancel the installation. Killing the market app then trying to go back in has no effect - same deal. Hung on install. Another reboot didn't help.
Is there any way to delete the install package and make the market forget I even tried in the first place?
It's Angry Birds (wanted to see what all the fuss was about), but the install seems to have failed in a way that any app install could have failed.
I've had a problem off and on with Appbrain getting stuck on "Loading" when I choose an application to update or download. After doing some Googling, I came across the suggestion that Google Talk needed to be running. I have been using Startup Auditor to keep Google Talk from running at all. I modified Startup Auditor to let Talk run and now I no longer have any problems with Appbrain.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was on 2.2 rooted on my droid x. Attempted to install a replacement for the taskbar. The phone is stuck in a boot loop now. I've read about 5,000 different pages saying just use RSD. It all starts by saying; plug the phone in, let the computer detect it, install the drivers.. This is where I'm stuck. The only thing I have access to is the recovery console and the big endless loop. So at no point the phone turns on to the point where the PC will detect it as a device.

I want to just custom recovery restore to the deodexed ROM here (Droid X 2.2 Froyo Deodexed and Ready For Themes) but cannot because I get the following error every time I try to restore a backup from custom recovery: "e:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0 device or resource busy.I think I found out that it is because this Koush recovery is the original 2.1 version, so I need the 2.2 one.Two things:-Where do I get this 2.2 newer version? View 12 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to update Dante via both Appbrain and Market but they seem to be stuck on the download process. It's been trying for at least a week but no go. I've tried cancelling download multiple times to start again which immediately leads to a FC on com.android.vending. I uninstalled Dante on my phone hoping it would clear it out but no. I tried uninstalling Appbrain for the same reason, still no. Cleared caches on both Appbrain and Market no change. Shut down phone and did a battery pull same result. I'm out of ideas at this point any one else have anything? btw, I can download, update, and install everything else i've tried so other than dante all seems well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just did a factory reset and made sure I backed everything up, etc. One of the first things I did was install AppBrain so I could reinstall all of my apps.
When I open AppBrain on my phone, none of my apps show up to install. I keep hitting sync and it doesn't bring up anything. I logged into my AppBrain account on their website and all of my apps show up and next to all of them it says "Cancel install".
Is there any way I can install all of the apps from the website? I would hate to have to download and install each app separately.
Currently using the above phone. Have activited wireless on my phone and internet is working fine. Tried to install appbrain on my phone - AppBrain - the best Android apps and games on the Android market. everytime I try to install it says "starting download" but nothing further happens.

My biggest qualm beforehand was the size, but now that I hold it in my hands it's not so bad.I've never had an Android device but everyone tells me HTC Sense will blow me away. I need you all to convince me that the X will blow me away (if you do I'll swing by after work and cancel the DINC order and grab a Droid X). I'm not worried about specs and stuff, just user interface. What can I expect to get with the X?

The downloads pending went through, but the appbrain update is now hanging in the downloads from the Android Marketplace. It just says "downloading." I can't kill the process. I have rebooted the phone, manually killed the process. I get this message: "Sorry! The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then "Force Close." I want appbrain back, I love the service, but I don't know what to do.

Appbrain is AWESOME. If you noticed, I know you did, that FastWebInstaller comes up w/ a note via the phone that it is not-operational b/c google updated the market w/o FWI able to preform.
That makes me believe that perhaps google is setting up this whole online experience. It seems like AppBrain is "hooked" up w/ Google (cause you use ur google sign in).

Phone is stuck on the "htc evo 4g" screen after selecting install update for 2.2. if i pull the battery phone will come back on but no update. here is a list of things i have already tried. format sd card. master reset from root menu. update firmware "none available". master reset from settings menu in phone ( when i tried this the phone did the same thing, it would ask if i want to clear all info the i would select yes and the phone would power down and then come on only to the htc evo 4g screen). I have tried all these things a few times and nothing is working. The phone is an replacement from sprint because my last evos wifi didnt work.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi installed jellyblast on my galaxy ace gt-s5830i, used it for couple of days and then restored cwm backup to stock rom. after about a week the phoen booted itself and got into bootloop. when i tried to wipe data got this mesaage : E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/stl11.
* i tried installing cwm backup
* i tried installing stock rom from samfirmware using odin with/without pit.
* i tried multiformatter for changing ext4 to rfs and then again tried unstalling stock rom and also custom roms.
* i tried wipe firmware package.
* phone enters in bootloop when i flash stock rom using odin and get stuck on boot when i install custom rom through cwm.
I should have just left it as it was out of the box..So after attempting to install a custom rom (4.4.2 Play edition)my s4 is stuck at the Samsung I9505 boot screen. I wiped the 'Dalvik cache' 'System' and 'cache' partitions in TWRP as I was following along with a Youtube video (that didn't work). When I tried to flash the custom ROM it automatically said failed. After giving up and turning on the phone I found that I'm stuck at this screen.
Have I bricked the phone? $550 could have gone down the drain just like that. I don't want to touch it without any advice and make everything worse. My only hope now is that I've managed to wipe the original software and it has nothing to boot from.
Why did the ROM install fail in the first place? I had it copied on the SD card. It was zip file.I can still access TWRP just fine and my SD shows up with the custom ROM still there, it's just whenever I hit install it fails in under a second.

I've rooted my Desire on o2 have version 0.80 of the boot loader. I applied the defrost rom version 2.7 following this guide. Droid Den - Phone Guide: How To Install Rooted Android 2.2 On Your HTC Desire - Droid Den. It went through applying the ROM but now I just have it stuck on the o2 splash screen and going no further. Can't seem to find a backup.zip anywhere on my ROM and thought to back out the change. What's the best way to go? Re-flash again?

Anyway, I was stupid enough to install 3D chainfire when it's not compatible (I neglected the description since it worked on my previous galaxy ace) ...
I've tried going to recovery mode to:
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition (but shows error)
Not sure what else can I do anymore. Since Ace 3 is fairly new, it's quite hard to find a solution with google.. Also, I have zero knowledge about flashing ROM or of the sort..
Extra info:
- My phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 GT - S7275R
- Rooted with a Chinese universal rooting program
- When entering recovery mode, it shows "no command" for a few seconds before entering the menu.
I'm trying to install the latest maps update and it seems stuck on "starting download". It's gone on way beyond the time needed for the previous download/upgrade.

I want it to do one thing if the user picks a date and sets it (I have that working fine) and then to clear a certain text field if the user pushes the cancel button on the datepicker (open up the datepicker but then cancel out of it).
The way I've been trying is by making a code...
to attach the listener.
My problem is that the listener works if the user pushes the back button, but not if they push the cancel button. I tried using a dismiss listener, and that works, except for the fact that it goes off even whether I set or cancel the datepicker!
What do I need to do so something goes off if and only if I push the cancel button on my datepicker?
