However, the icons are still found in the app tray and clicking them generates a FC.Is there any way to get rid of the icons permanently? I know I can hide them with LPP but that only hides them; I want to eliminate them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I use a standard app tray, anyting I download from the market gets put in it right away. But I have been trying all kinds of things lately that wont. The only way I can get them loaded is to turn off the phone and turn it back on again. Home++ is one of those. I have also tried some other roms that does the same thing.

Opinions aside, it seems useful to have some lists developed in here with actual comparisons of the relative merits of each of 1.5 and the 2.1 leak.I'm hoping the thread does not degenerate into allegiances for one or the other so much as real data, although the experience users are having is part of the equation and should be commented on.2.1 has this or that, but 1.5 does not. 1.5 is more stable in this area, but 2.1 is not. .. etc.

View 12 Replies View RelatedSo with the last few ROMs I've had installed, I've tried moving apps to the sdcard. I figured it would be a good thing, even if I wasn't running out of room. Every time I move more than just a few apps to the sdcard, my whole phone starts getting laggy. I just moved all of my apps back to phone and the "lagginess" is gone. I currently have UD8.0 installed, but it has behaved this way with LFY and Pete's BB ROMs as well. So it doesn't seem to be a ROM related.

Example:
I took a bunch of pictures at an event, the created a folder for that event and moved the pictures into it. I can still open the pictures one at a tiem by navigsting too them, but the galleary app still shows the thumbs, but cannot find them.
Example 2:
I downloaded an mp3 for a ring tone, and while in the downloads folder the music player found it and I was able to set it at a ring tone. But I tried to create a ringtones folder, and then music could not find it, and just playing it by opening the file would not allow me to set a ring tone.
So how does this work? I have seen references here to folders called Media and ring tones, but I see nothing like that in the file system on my phone. Where does one put music if they want to actually use the music player?
Is the DCIM folder the ONLY one that works with the photo gallery? Is the Downloads folder the ONLY one that works with the music player?
How do you delete apps out of the Application Tray?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is a spec of dust along the left side of the screen about 1" up. Its definatly under the glass and annoying as shit. Also the metal on the frame is so dense that it has 3 small and i mean SMALL pits in the metal.... How is this even possible? I use my iPhone as a coaster for the Droid and it sits in my pocket glass out... They are definatly pitted indentions in the metal as you can run your fingernail across them and feel it. Any ideas if I can go into verizon store to get a replacement for the spec under the glass? I bought it online launch day and have only had it since monday.

Just getting started.Today, I got a case for it, when I got home I took it out of the case and the dialer, launcher and contact icons, which were along the bottom, were suddenly instead down the right side. Plus, in the apps tray, I had 4 apps across, but now there are seven apps across.

Is the speakerphone on the bar in the back have only one speaker or is it dual speakers. Because I ask this, one one side of the bar it sounds louder than the other side.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHave a D1 running stock. Was working fine, then the strange happened. The left side of the phone stopped working. None of the icons on the screen or the back arrow. Everything else seems to be working. If I set it to the phone log the phone will begin to make calls on its own. So do I go for a new one or is there a fix for this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
