Is anyone else's side volume key very loose and wobbly? Mine rocks back and forth a ton. In fact, if I shake the phone I can hear it wobbling. Everything is working fine, but I'm wondering if I should take it back.

The volume control on my Droidx sis locked and can no longer be controlled by the buttons on the side of the phone. I've searched for any other post on this problem and can't find a solution. Anyone know how to restore that behavior?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI searched online and tried fooling around with the phone forever, but was wondering why the side volume controls control the media volume and not the ringer volume when on the main screen. Any idea if there is a way to switch this? Like I am at work and just want to lower the volume I have to dig into the settings for ringer volume and wish I can just do it from the main screen by using the side buttons.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is a spec of dust along the left side of the screen about 1" up. Its definatly under the glass and annoying as shit. Also the metal on the frame is so dense that it has 3 small and i mean SMALL pits in the metal.... How is this even possible? I use my iPhone as a coaster for the Droid and it sits in my pocket glass out... They are definatly pitted indentions in the metal as you can run your fingernail across them and feel it. Any ideas if I can go into verizon store to get a replacement for the spec under the glass? I bought it online launch day and have only had it since monday.

Just getting started.Today, I got a case for it, when I got home I took it out of the case and the dialer, launcher and contact icons, which were along the bottom, were suddenly instead down the right side. After owning a first gen iphone and a pre, the droid is my favorite. But if this problem only occurs on a fraction of droids i'd like to consider an exchange.
Is the speakerphone on the bar in the back have only one speaker or is it dual speakers. Because I ask this, one one side of the bar it sounds louder than the other side.

Everything else seems to be working. If I set it to the phone log the phone will begin to make calls on its own. So do I go for a new one or is there a fix for this?

View 15 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
Any one have this happen? I reboot, turned off overclock (was at 800mhz), pull battery, no go. Think it could be rom related? I am thinking of installing a new rom and wiping the phone, not sure.

Finally got my replacement EVO yesterday was all excited until I just noticed the battery door cover does not fit tight! There is a gap along the whole right side. big enough for dirt and dust to get into the phone. The build date is 7/05/10. Also, the camera lens is not centered in the cover hole. There no red showing on the bottom of the hole and a big red gap on the top of the hole. I cannot believe HTC lets phones like this out the door! Where is the QA/QC?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a quick question. My Droid screen is nonresponsive on the right side and also it will not allow me to slide it open to receive a call. According to several posts on this forum, the phone will most likely need to be replaced. My question is, since it is rooted, do I need to revert it back to stock before taking it to the Verizon store or will they know anyway? I do not want to waste my time reverting it back if they are going to know anyway that it is rooted. I know the warranty is voided since it is a rooted phone. Thank you for any advice that you may be able to give.

Does anyone else have a problem with the back cover not being tight on the sides? Sort of makes a "popping" noise when I press on the sides and it drives me crazy! Actually, almost where ever I press, it makes little popping noises, as though the case is really loose.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm developing an app and i need to detect when the user shakes the phone from side to side , that means just along one axis (in this case X).I want to know when the user shakes the phone to the left and when to the right, the problem is that my code does not detect shaking but tilt, i have tested this code and it works when i tilt the phone to left or to the right, but not when a shake it from side to side (no matter the orientation of the phone).
