Nov 29, 2010Have a D1 running stock. Was working fine, then the strange happened. The left side of the phone stopped working. None of the icons on the screen or the back arrow. Everything else seems to be working. If I set it to the phone log the phone will begin to make calls on its own. So do I go for a new one or is there a fix for this?

Jul 29, 2010Like many, I've had a real problem with a loose headphone jack on my Droid. As the jack gets moved (bumped in my pocket, for example) it causes the music player to turn on/off, which is super annoying. To describe it better, if I were to hold onto the headphone end piece where it connects and move it around, I can trigger the music on and off...it must be moving the connector inside somehow. Had the Droid replaced once. New Droid - same issue. New idea --- Is there any way to entirely disable the headphone's ability to control to Droid? My thought is that if I can turn that off altogether, it will no longer be a concern that it's loose.

I know Task Killer is out there, and use it quite frequently, but I'm noticing that when I get out of DroidLive, Google Maps, etc. they stay running in the back ground and the phone will start to get sluggish.

Mar 27, 2010So I fixed all my other issues by doing a wipe. (no need to repeat my longer earlier thread).
But the camera still won't focus. I've installed 2.0.1 both OTA and Manually, no difference.
I think a trip to Verizon Monday is in my future. it will only focus in obscenely bright light. Any other situation it's just blurry.
Yes, my lens is clean haha.
Looks like Droid #3 will be on the way. Unless someone else has ideas I have yet to try.
Motorola Droid :: Dust Along Left Side Of Screen?
Nov 11, 2009There is a spec of dust along the left side of the screen about 1" up. Its definatly under the glass and annoying as shit. Also the metal on the frame is so dense that it has 3 small and i mean SMALL pits in the metal.... How is this even possible? I use my iPhone as a coaster for the Droid and it sits in my pocket glass out... They are definatly pitted indentions in the metal as you can run your fingernail across them and feel it. Any ideas if I can go into verizon store to get a replacement for the spec under the glass? I bought it online launch day and have only had it since monday.

Jan 21, 2010My droid haas a slight gap one left side when closed. when I tap on the screen the gap closes a little then opens, giving an annoying "springyness" to my tapping. It's very annoying.
After owning a first gen iphone and a pre, the droid is my favorite. But if this problem only occurs on a fraction of droids i'd like to consider an exchange.

Oct 10, 2010So I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

Nov 19, 2009If you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
