Opinions aside, it seems useful to have some lists developed in here with actual comparisons of the relative merits of each of 1.5 and the 2.1 leak.I'm hoping the thread does not degenerate into allegiances for one or the other so much as real data, although the experience users are having is part of the equation and should be commented on.2.1 has this or that, but 1.5 does not. 1.5 is more stable in this area, but 2.1 is not. .. etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm developing an app and i need to detect when the user shakes the phone from side to side , that means just along one axis (in this case X).I want to know when the user shakes the phone to the left and when to the right, the problem is that my code does not detect shaking but tilt, i have tested this code and it works when i tilt the phone to left or to the right, but not when a shake it from side to side (no matter the orientation of the phone).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am running an lg optimus 3d (LG P-920) on CM10 nightly 19/12 (todays) and i installed a rom the other day (pacman) and it had a neet feature in the settings page where it had dual panel view kinda how facebook works. but anyway on the cm10 official it doesnt have it and i been looking around and seen it on email too and it looks reallly nice.

View 8 Replies View Relatedi read the migration notes for 1.6 and I could not tell if 1.5 and 1.6 can co-exist side by side.i need to build applications for both 1.5 and 1.6, and i only have one build machine.other than changing my PATH variable, are there any other gotchas? especially for an automated build process which will need to build images for both platforms.also, i am a bit concerned about updating the ADT plugin. if I do that (update the ADT plugin), will that screw up my development on/for 1.5?

As I'm a bit stubborn, I've done some tests but I only manage to display one ListView which fill all the screen even if I use "wrap_content" or if I put each ListView in a LinearLayout. The final goal is to connect these ListViews together, clicking on an item from the first will update the content of the second, and so on.Should I user ScrollView instead ? For those who will say that three ListViews won't fit in a mobile screen, I trying to make an application for a tablet :)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have used link2sd to link all my apps to my sd card. But link2sd doesn't move the data, it only moves apk and cache and library files. I have asphalt 7 with a data of about 1 gb, and I can use Gl to sd to move the data.
But on Gl to sd download page it is said that it will interfere with other mount scripts and all that. My question : is it safe to use Gl to sd and link2sd side by side, or will it cause any problems???
my brand new samsung fascinate just went white. I went to push the button on the side to unlock it, and just lit up white. I went to do a hard reset and it did not solve the problem. When i restart phone, i can hear the phone start up music, and the soft buttons on the front work, but all i see is bright white. I had someone call me, and my phone rang, yet all i saw was a bright screen. When it goes idol to black, it wont turn back on at all.

I tried dead pixel test and nothing showed up. Is it a software issue? or a hardware issue?

I've gotten HTTP POST to send strings to the server side PHP script. My log is showing the correct return values. The script runs fine manually from the browser and inserts a new db table row. But can't get the script to run by having the apk call it... though, again, it returns all script page content including strings.
How can I get the script to run?
Is anyone else's side volume key very loose and wobbly? Mine rocks back and forth a ton. In fact, if I shake the phone I can hear it wobbling. Everything is working fine, but I'm wondering if I should take it back.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThere is a spec of dust along the left side of the screen about 1" up. Its definatly under the glass and annoying as shit. Also the metal on the frame is so dense that it has 3 small and i mean SMALL pits in the metal.... How is this even possible? I use my iPhone as a coaster for the Droid and it sits in my pocket glass out... They are definatly pitted indentions in the metal as you can run your fingernail across them and feel it. Any ideas if I can go into verizon store to get a replacement for the spec under the glass? I bought it online launch day and have only had it since monday.

Just getting started.Today, I got a case for it, when I got home I took it out of the case and the dialer, launcher and contact icons, which were along the bottom, were suddenly instead down the right side. Plus, in the apps tray, I had 4 apps across, but now there are seven apps across.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo my virgin mobile phone that I had a while ago had this same problem, but less severe. I had fluctuations in the signal strength. Cover the side of the phone and the signal will go down, uncover, signal goes up.
Basically what I found, or in this case hypothesize, is that the internal antenna may be somewhere on one of the sides of the phone. When you cover the side the signal bars seem to go down. Hold the phone on the top corner and they may go back up. I've done this in a few places around my usual usage areas and all seem to follow this trend. Im not saying that correlation leads to causation, but im just saying maybe we're overlooking something here. This usually happens on the right side. However, I am puzzled that this would mean flesh interferes with radio waves...Also, I'm not complaining or questioning why as I've read several other threads on this issue and side with those who think the bars mean nothing. I've been able to make perfectly good phone calls with 0 bars, no dropped calls, and perfect sound quality.

Is the speakerphone on the bar in the back have only one speaker or is it dual speakers. Because I ask this, one one side of the bar it sounds louder than the other side.

Everything else seems to be working. If I set it to the phone log the phone will begin to make calls on its own. So do I go for a new one or is there a fix for this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
