Motorola CLIQ :: Can Blur Be Disabled?
Nov 4, 2009I have a co-worker insterested in Android... he likes the Verizon Droid but doesn't want to leave TMO. I have a myTouch but haven't been able to get to the TMO store and work with the Cliq. He'd prefer not have blur enabled. Can it be disabled so the phone works like the myTouch/G1?

Jul 24, 2010Saw a few days ago that leaked 2.1w/Blur was floating around the web and failed to grab it right away. Searching today has found that it has disappeared almost as though it was not real? or someone had it removed. Does anyone know more about this or where to find it if it really exist?

Nov 5, 2009On my 2nd day of having the Cliq, I started receiving this error:
The application Home (process com.motorola.blur.home) has stopped unexpectedly.
and gives me the Force Quit button.
It usually happens when I'm texting or using the Messaging widget on the home screen and today it has been happening very often!! Starting to get annoying.

Jan 13, 2010Every time i tried setting up a secondary account, i get the " cannot establish a reliable network" and tells me to try again later. i am sure i have a data connection as i am able to go on the browser and everything.

Sep 28, 2010I have 2 Exchange accounts and I have been able to configure both of them for Push notification to my Droid 2, I was wondering does anybody know how I can just open the second account in case I wanted to read an email that came in earlier that I have already looked at and therefore does not show up in my notifications any longer? When I open the Email application it only shows my Default account and it does not appear to give me any options to open and look at my second account.

Jul 17, 2010My wife just got the Droid Inc, which was my first experience with the android os and I have to say, wow! I love it! My only issue is the Droid Inc doesn't support more than one exchange accounts and I have 6. I have read that the original Droid did support multiple exchange accounts, but haven't seen if the droid x does or not. Before I go through the trouble of ordering one and waiting on it to come in, can anybody confirm or deny if the droid x does support multiple exchange account and if so, is there a limit to that number.

I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

Aug 31, 2010I had been using IMEasy for its multiple-account capability, I found my phone running warm when multiple accounts were connected though, and the battery drained fast; down to 70% in 3 hours in a poor signal area. I thought it was the poor signal. Installed Trillian yesterday, it's connected to 3 IM accounts and after 5 hours I'm only down to 90%, in the same area. I've been a happy Trillian user on the PC, I already had an Astra account from that so setup was SIMPLE. I HIGHLY suggest this app, though it's still in Beta and it IS missing a couple options I would like they're not critical issues to me, and I'm sure they'll fix them.

I know this sounds like an ad but I'm just a happy customer.
The 2 missing items (maybe one really) are the ability to set the notification tone in the app and the ability to change the notification LED color in the app.
HTC Droid Eris :: Red Camera Blur Ala - Green Blur
Mar 30, 2010i just noticed this with my camera a few days ago. I like to use my Eris's camera a LOT (its a decent camera!) but am now disappointed that there is a reddish blur in the center of all photos. It is very noticeable on white backgrounds in medium to low light conditions. does anyone have any info? i rooted my phone and am still in the 30 day period, i have insurance too.

Jan 21, 2010I was wondering if anyone was able to get their T-Mobile/Motorola Cliq to work on T-Mobile's basic data plan? They now have a specific Android data plan. I can't believe that they raised the data and unlimited text message plan to cost $45/mo. in total for Android phones! I'm using the $19.99 unlimited data/messaging plan now and would like to continue to use it. If anyone has successfully done this, please let me know how you did it.

Jan 14, 2010I am using an unlocked Cliq on AT&T network. All my data works fine, but I'm having trouble with text messages. Normal texts come and go fine it seems, but I'm unable to send picture messages. I assume I'm also unable to receive picture messages, though I haven't specifically tested that. The bigger problem is a random text I keep getting. It comes from 11-216-116-11, and always says the same thing, "error invalid number please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code." They always come in threes, and I always get them when I reboot the phone or sometimes they come randomly. Can anybody help with these issues?

Jun 12, 2010I was wondering if the Evo supports multiple exchange accounts. I have a coworker that has a stock nexus one and he is able to add multiple exchange accounts effortlessly. I know that there are alternative solutions like touchdown and roadsync but why would a stock nexus one be able to and we are not. I would rather not have to install a 3rd party app to get the same experience. Is this a limitation of our version of android or did HTC take this out?

May 11, 2010I would like to build an application that caters for multiple accounts (eg. home, work) and account types (e.g. ISP, VoIP, Mobile). Essentially, I would like to get the user to create the accounts they want and then have all the accounts listed on the start page grouped by type.
For example:
ISP:
- Home
- Work
Mobile:
- Mum
- Dad
When you click on the account, it would take you to another screen where I do a bunch of calcs and display the results.
I currently do this via multiple apps but am looking at consolidating into the one app. I am just not sure where to start or how I go about achieving this? The way the Contacts app works is a good example of what I am wanting to do.
Android :: Setup For Multiple Google Accounts?
Jul 9, 2010Here's the deal: I will be upgrading to the Droid X very soon. I know that when you setup the phone you have to tie it to a Google/gmail account, but what if my wife wants to check her email and stuff as well? She isn't going to have a smartphone of her own. Is there a way to designate an app or widget for her Google account on my smartphone? Or will she have to go through the browser every time and log-in?

I know that you can access multiple G Mail accounts through the phone but does anyone know if you can have a G Mail and another account. I am a medical student and get important minute-to-minute emails about things for the hospital. The account I have through the school uses OWA and the school has dropped its ability to automatically forward emails to other accounts. Also, as much as I have tried, I can not get my GM ail account to import/retrieve emails from the OWA account. So I am hoping to have the .edu account and the G Mail account simultaneously. Any help would be provided from anyone currently using N1 on TMo. Even if you could test it by trying to set up another email with another POP 3 email server.

Jul 22, 2010I not only have accounts in all the major IM vendors/formats, but I also have multiple accounts with each service. I have found Fring and Agile, but they appear (from use and FAQ) that they can only support one user per service. Agile is awesome, as it understands how to send video/camera shots directly, and fring seems not to be able to as easy. But that is secondary to being able to load all your accounts, eh? I guess I'm looking for Digsby functionality for Android!

Dec 29, 2011I bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
Motorola CLIQ :: Tons Of Cliq Errors
Mar 6, 2010I've had my cliq about a month now, and I love the phone! it's perfect for my needs, but im having alot of issues with it.
1: Sometimes my phone will sometimes just ignore a phone call. I'll receive it, it will ring for literally half a second, then the call will stop and will show as a missed call. This used to happen on my RAZR, too, so I think it's more a T-mobile issue than the phone.
2: My CLIQ keeps combining, moving, or changing my contacts. For example: A few weeks ago, I added my new bosses' phone number, labeled him as my boss, and then went about my business. Later that day, I was texting a friend, only to find out that her Phonenumber/information had meen stored under my new boss' name!
Another similar Issue, I added 2 people: A new friend's cell, My boss' cell, and my boss' office (all under seperate contacts). Then later that day, suddenly my friend's contact information is merged in with another friend's, and my mom's text messages are coming in under my boss's office information! (Needless to say, I was VERY confused to receive a text saying that he loved me)
3: Sometimes the phone is super slow/crashy. I get a lot of "this program is taking too long. would you like to close it?" Messages. I make use of advanced task Killer to kill off apps i'm not using from the background (Games, Facebook, ect) Why is my phone always so slow?
