I need your help. Coming over from WebOS where I able to add multiple email addresses by simply inputting the user name and password. How do I add my email accounts in Android or is it possible?

I use Gmail for my email, but I find the Email app is easier to use. There is also a Messaging app, but that incorporates texting, etc. I don't want that. I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

I know that you can access multiple G Mail accounts through the phone but does anyone know if you can have a G Mail and another account. I am a medical student and get important minute-to-minute emails about things for the hospital. The account I have through the school uses OWA and the school has dropped its ability to automatically forward emails to other accounts. Also, as much as I have tried, I can not get my GM ail account to import/retrieve emails from the OWA account. So I am hoping to have the .edu account and the G Mail account simultaneously. Any help would be provided from anyone currently using N1 on TMo. Even if you could test it by trying to set up another email with another POP 3 email server.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
I just got a Droid Eris on Monday. The girl helping me at Verizon programmed my personal g mail account in as she was doing the initial set up. Since then I have attempted to set up my business email account which uses the Google Business Account on my Eris. Thus far I have been unable to add my second email account. Can someone help me?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am considering getting a Android based phone, something like a My Touch from TMO or the Nexus One Google phone, however, I have a question about how email works on the Android OS. First, if I have multiple email addresses setup, will they be setup separately or all in one main "mail" box? Second, when I receive a message and respond to it, will it reply from the email address that received the message or will it use a generic email address such as the GMail account that is used to setup the phone? I really like the touchscreen and the fact that the screens are larger than the BlackBerry and it makes the overall experience very nice, however, I am very fluent with the BlackBerry and it does everything I NEED it to do, however, I WANT to have a little more fun with browsing the web, etc.

I was wondering if the Evo supports multiple exchange accounts. I have a coworker that has a stock nexus one and he is able to add multiple exchange accounts effortlessly. I know that there are alternative solutions like touchdown and roadsync but why would a stock nexus one be able to and we are not. I would rather not have to install a 3rd party app to get the same experience. Is this a limitation of our version of android or did HTC take this out?

Only recently I noticed that my activity only displays contacts synced with my main Google account. I have two Google accounts on my test phone and ideally I want my activity to display the contacts for both accounts (or multiple accounts). How do I query across multiple accounts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to build an application that caters for multiple accounts (eg. home, work) and account types (e.g. ISP, VoIP, Mobile). Essentially, I would like to get the user to create the accounts they want and then have all the accounts listed on the start page grouped by type.
For example:
ISP:
- Home
- Work
Mobile:
- Mum
- Dad
When you click on the account, it would take you to another screen where I do a bunch of calcs and display the results.
I currently do this via multiple apps but am looking at consolidating into the one app. I am just not sure where to start or how I go about achieving this? The way the Contacts app works is a good example of what I am wanting to do.
Here's the deal: I will be upgrading to the Droid X very soon. I know that when you setup the phone you have to tie it to a Google/gmail account, but what if my wife wants to check her email and stuff as well? She isn't going to have a smartphone of her own. Is there a way to designate an app or widget for her Google account on my smartphone? Or will she have to go through the browser every time and log-in?

However the second one has a calendar that's not being picked up by my phone.Under 'Accounts and sync 'Manage accounts there only 'Sync contacts' and 'Sync Gmail' but no 'Sync Calendar' like I can with my primary account.I set up the calendar in Google and got the mobile part registered and received the code and it says it's working...the phone just isn't realizing it's there.

It says so straight up when you go to Settings Accounts & sync -> Add Account -> Google ("You can use more than one Google Account on your phone...").When I try to add the 2nd account I get the issue that other people report when trying to replace their first account, or if they skipped account setup when activating the device. I have found Fring and Agile, but they appear (from use and FAQ) that they can only support one user per service. Agile is awesome, as it understands how to send video/camera shots directly, and fring seems not to be able to as easy. But that is secondary to being able to load all your accounts, eh? I guess I'm looking for Digsby functionality for Android!

is there any way one could sync multiple Outlook accounts to the same phone? I've tried to add multiple accounts that aren't Outlook, and I can't do it.
Or, what is a good work-around to try? Porting the accounts to Google calendars and sync them that way? It's for work, so I don't know if that would be the best option.
