I've setup a g mail account, but i have more than one and a Hot mail account also How do i set these up on my Hero? Do i set them up as POP 3 accounts? If so, what do i need in each of the entry fields? e.g email accounts: zorro1234@googlemail.com, zorro5678@googlemail.com , zorro1234@hotmail.co.

I know that you can access multiple G Mail accounts through the phone but does anyone know if you can have a G Mail and another account. I am a medical student and get important minute-to-minute emails about things for the hospital. The account I have through the school uses OWA and the school has dropped its ability to automatically forward emails to other accounts. Also, as much as I have tried, I can not get my GM ail account to import/retrieve emails from the OWA account. So I am hoping to have the .edu account and the G Mail account simultaneously. Any help would be provided from anyone currently using N1 on TMo. Even if you could test it by trying to set up another email with another POP 3 email server.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
I just got a Droid Eris on Monday. The girl helping me at Verizon programmed my personal g mail account in as she was doing the initial set up. Since then I have attempted to set up my business email account which uses the Google Business Account on my Eris. Thus far I have been unable to add my second email account. Can someone help me?

View 36 Replies View RelatedI use Gmail for my email, but I find the Email app is easier to use. There is also a Messaging app, but that incorporates texting, etc. I don't want that. I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

It says so straight up when you go to Settings Accounts & sync -> Add Account -> Google ("You can use more than one Google Account on your phone...").When I try to add the 2nd account I get the issue that other people report when trying to replace their first account, or if they skipped account setup when activating the device. I have an iPhone right now and I have three Gmail accounts for different purposes. I don't use Google Calendar, so I'm not worried about calendar events. But does Android/Hero have any problems using multiple Gmail accounts?

I really like what I see from this phone, but I wonder how it handles multiple Gmail accounts. I have three Gmail accounts for different purposes. My iPhone 3G handles these with no problem. I am considering getting a Android based phone, something like a My Touch from TMO or the Nexus One Google phone, however, I have a question about how email works on the Android OS. First, if I have multiple email addresses setup, will they be setup separately or all in one main "mail" box? Second, when I receive a message and respond to it, will it reply from the email address that received the message or will it use a generic email address such as the GMail account that is used to setup the phone? I really like the touchscreen and the fact that the screens are larger than the BlackBerry and it makes the overall experience very nice, however, I am very fluent with the BlackBerry and it does everything I NEED it to do, however, I WANT to have a little more fun with browsing the web, etc.

I don't know what i was thinking and I added a pretty spammy email account to my hero. I can't for the life of me figure out how just to delete the whole account so no messages get forwarded.

1st, On my previous phone (Windows Mobile) I had my gmail account set up so that my email is "pushed" to my phone. I thought that the android phones were automatically set up to do that, or do I have to do something to get this to work. I only ask because it seems to take a while to receive emails on my phone.
2nd, Before I got the phone I was reading up on the features, and a lot of the posts I read made it seem like I could access my google reader section, saved maps, sync bookmarks, and anything else I had with my google account. But, I can't seem to figure out how to do this. The most I have figured out on the maps is latitude, and nothing else with reader, bookmarks, etc.
Basically I want to set a different notification sound to each of my different email accounts that I have setup in the mail app (not the gmail one, but the one where you add IMAP accounts) I don't think it's possible since it seems like it should be a function of the mail app and not the system...but there's no place in the mail app to set a sound (that I can find).

However, in Android on an HTC Magic, you cannot select which account to send "from", you can only send from the g mail account (in the g mail app). Yes, I know you can configure each one with an I MAP account, but I don't want that. I use G mail to store everything. So my question to existing HTC Hero users is: In the G mail application on a HTC Hero can you send from multiple email addresses?

I know that there are alternative solutions like touchdown and roadsync but why would a stock nexus one be able to and we are not. I would rather not have to install a 3rd party app to get the same experience. Is this a limitation of our version of android or did HTC take this out?

Only recently I noticed that my activity only displays contacts synced with my main Google account. Essentially, I would like to get the user to create the accounts they want and then have all the accounts listed on the start page grouped by type.
For example:
ISP:
- Home
- Work
Mobile:
- Mum
- Dad
When you click on the account, it would take you to another screen where I do a bunch of calcs and display the results.
I currently do this via multiple apps but am looking at consolidating into the one app. I am just not sure where to start or how I go about achieving this? The way the Contacts app works is a good example of what I am wanting to do.
Here's the deal: I will be upgrading to the Droid X very soon. I know that when you setup the phone you have to tie it to a Google/gmail account, but what if my wife wants to check her email and stuff as well? She isn't going to have a smartphone of her own. Is there a way to designate an app or widget for her Google account on my smartphone? Or will she have to go through the browser every time and log-in?

However the second one has a calendar that's not being picked up by my phone.Under 'Accounts and sync 'Manage accounts there only 'Sync contacts' and 'Sync Gmail' but no 'Sync Calendar' like I can with my primary account.I set up the calendar in Google and got the mobile part registered and received the code and it says it's working...the phone just isn't realizing it's there.

I have found Fring and Agile, but they appear (from use and FAQ) that they can only support one user per service. Agile is awesome, as it understands how to send video/camera shots directly, and fring seems not to be able to as easy. But that is secondary to being able to load all your accounts, eh? I guess I'm looking for Digsby functionality for Android!
