i am looking for an app that will allow me to change the sound profile to be able to go phone only mode. and have it shut all other sounds off. i have tried locale but that one didnt work for me.

Ok so this is the first problem I've had with my evo so far. In the last two days my external speakerhas stopped working but only after I change the profile to vib or silent then go back to normal. To get sound again I have to do a battery pull then it works again. So I have a feeling its a software issue. I wanted to know 1st if any one else has had this 2nd what do I want to use to back up to do a reset. And 3rd how do I do a reset.

Hello everyone! I just purchased a Motorola Droid on Friday and have been playing with it non-stop all weekend... I do have a couple, maybe silly, questions...
1) Whenever I power my phone off for the night then plug it in to charge, it keeps turning on. Is this normal? Is there any way to stop this from happening? Will this have an impact on my battery life?
2) Is there any way to change the sounds for text message, emails, and other notifications? I am coming from a Blackberry where EVERYTHING has its own sound.
3) I've been looking through the "Most Popular App" threads and, of course, am open to your suggestions. Is there anywhere online where I can easily look at all of the available apps/programs?
Is there any way I can change the startup sound for the droid separately from all the other notifications?

And even when I try to select a default notification sound, it doesn't change to it, its stays the same as when the one that it was set to when i got the phone. I miss more calls because of this than any other reason. A co-worker has the Moto Droid and that thing will vibrate so hard the phone will move across the desk. My ringtone works as my new one. My notification sound plays my preference (Clapton's Layla) when I have an email and such, however, when I get a text message, it still plays the default sound. Is there somewhere you change this other than notification sounds?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy "beloved" Epic was working perfectly last night but this morning as it sits here, it is making a low clicking noise (about every 3-5 seconds). Almost sounds like electrical something. Nothing has happened to the phone (no water, dropped or anything).
Has anyone experienced this with their phone? I only got it less than 2 weeks ago too. The phone is perfect so far (obviously room for improvements with 2.2 but I am actually quite happy as is). I am so hesitant to even have to replace it because my battery life has been amazing! I feel like a got very lucky with this one. I still have tons of juice left by the time I go to bed at night (which is when I recharge it.)
I have 20 sec mp3's that I can assign to individual contacts for their ringtone. I also have 07 sec mp3's that I want to assign to their notification sound such as incoming texts. How can I do that? Do I need a 3rd party app?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm running Pete's virgin deodexed version with Chevy's Low voltage kernel. I have the main setcpu profile set to 900 mhz on the minimum and maximum side, with the performance governor. That works fine and I also have profiles enabled. The profiles work great too. The problem is that when switching from a custom profile back to the main profile, the governor ALWAYS sets to ondemand, and then I have to manually set it to performance where it stays until another profile becomes effective.

I'm playing around with SetCPU and wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the min/max settings within the profile. I don't want to fry my phone, so if there's someone with experience with a kernel with similar capabilities who would be so kind as to share his profile settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with getting Facebook profile pics to show up with the majority of my contacts. Here is what I've done so far:
1) Synced my Gmail contacts with my Droid
2) Set Facebook settings on Droid to Sync Contacts
At this point, roughly 3 or 4 of my 70 contacts showed their FB profile picture. I am able to view people's FB profiles by clicking on their contact profile, but still no picture. After clicking on some contacts' profiles, their picture will appear, but this has only worked a few times (~3/20).
Does any one have suggestions on how to get FB profile pictures synced to all contacts that have profiles available?
I'm running sholesmod 2.0.5 and i need help on how to set my Setcpu...any profile recommendations...any suggestions would be great.
