The profile pic for my text messages/phone book icon pulled from Facebook but hasn't changed since. I've tried syncing my account and it pulls everyone elses image but not mine. Is there a setting somewhere to change it?

After my phone did the 2.1 update my phone has done a few things i dont know how to change, First is when i wake my phone up from sleep it wants me to put a password in which i think my work did since i have an email account link to my phone thru work. How do a i TURN THE LOCK FEATURE OFF. Second all of my contacts have now linked with face book and every time someone post on face book it shows up under there name please help fix theses issues.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was surprised that I really couldn't find much on this, but I can't be the only one with the problem. My Droid Eris is sending blank text messages repeatedly. Is the phone faulty or is there some setting that I can change. I downloaded ChompSMS hoping that would fix it, but it doesn't appear to. When I open my text messaging program, many times it will send a blank text to the last person I texted. The other day, I turned the phone off and turned it back on and it sent a blank text at the exact time I turned it on.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've got this issue where incoming calls and texts are not matching to the contacts database when the international format is used (so incoming 01202 123456 matches if the number is stored in the phone book as 01202 123456 but not if it's +441202 123456)
Seems it's quite common with ROMs / Phones from China.
My phone is a Cube 5H A5300 (a remarkably good bit of kit for the money if I could fix this dam issue) , Android 4.2.1, and MIUI 3.11.15. I don't think this is a MIUI issue hence posting here. :-

Sorry if this has been asked... I've searched and so far nothing. I just got my new Droid Eris. So far I love it, except for my text message sounds. My ringtone works as my new one. My notification sound plays my preference (Clapton's Layla) when I have an email and such, however, when I get a text message, it still plays the default sound. Is there somewhere you change this other than notification sounds?

I am currently not rooted, but will be doing so in the next few days (I'm still trying to decide what ROM i want to flash to start out). 1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAll I want to do is create a simple "vibrate" profile that turns phone calls and text messages to vibrate. I have the call part but the messages just come in silently with no vibrate. I have the following in the task:
1) Vibrate on Notify: On
2) Vibrate on Ringer: On
3) Silent Mode: Vibrate
Just got the HTC Eris and transfered my contacts from my old BlackBerry to the new Eris. Everything's there, actually way more than I need (over 3970 contacts, many duplicates and such. I realize that there is the 'delete duplicates' function on Gmail's contacts page, but sync'ing of that many contacts to go back and edit the contacts that I would like to keep on the phone, has really slowed down the phone, eaten battery big-time and in 3-4 days only 501 contacts have come across. I really don't need that many and was only planning on having the people I call on a daily basis. So, I turned off the sync function on the phone and the phone is running a bit better, but having to scroll or search through that many contacts takes for ever to do.
I would like to find a sync conduit (that works with my PowerBook Mac running Tiger 10.4.11) that I could sync via USB my contacts off of this phone, edit the ones to keep, re-populate (replace) the contacts. At this point I would just turn on the phone sync function(with the fewer contacts) and let them populate Gmail. How is this possible? Many of the suggested downloads I have seen online haven't really stated that they work with my Mac OS. Is there a faster way to have the contacts sync'd up to gmail and maybe just edit everything up there on line?
Is there a way that I can get my contacts' face book pictures and status' to update without having to receive face book notifications on my phone? I turned off the face book notifications because they were annoying. But when I did that, the pictures and statuses never refresh. I just want them to refresh, but I don't want the notifications to be sent to me all day.

Basically I do NOT want a contact to pop up into my address book on my Droid Eris every time I email someone new. I understand the convenience of having the two contact lists linked but on the other hand the option not to have them together must be available.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo i just got off the phone with a customer service rep from Verizon and was telling them about my issues because i'm on my 3rd replacement phone, and the 3rd one that just got sent out today is even worser then the ones i had to have replace, i told the rep that i wanted a new model phone, and all they could tell me was that well we'll have to just replace it with the same model, and if you're wanting to get a new model phone you would have to pay for it.How are some of you members getting the Moto Droid without any charges?? Do you guys just get nice reps? Because the rep i got was just a D*ck he wouldn't listen to what i was trying to say and kept cutting me off.

There's a vast amount of material in MSWord format that I wish to read on my Eris. I can save a file as .txt and put it on my SD card using Astro, etc., but Quickoffice and Tulip are the only readers able to read those files - and both are otherwise inadequate. I've never passed the Caliber IQ test. It seems to convert to epub, but none of those readers ever see the result.
