My mother and I paired my droid to her blackberry. We then tried sending pictures back and forth. When she sent to me, everything worked fine, but every time I tried to send, it give an error that it cannot connect.

My wife/secretary has a blackberry, i have paired my x10 to her device but im unable to transfer files, ive not had trouble connecting to a Lg Cookie.

View 18 Replies View RelatedThis is a silly issue, but its now driving me to distraction, My Jawbone pairs & connects without an issue, however I have a Nokia6822, & Blue & Me in my car, the Milestone will pair but not connect to either of these devices ( phone is on V2.1) even after entering verify code on each device ( The car generates a unique code for each device to be paired with it). Also the make device discoverable is only open for 120 seconds, is there a reason for this ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently came over from using a Blackberry (and using the Blackberry Messenger app), and I am wondering what you all might suggest as an easy way to briefly send quick messages (not using SMS or email) that would be easy to set up on my end and for my Blackberry friends.Currently I do not have any chat systems or instant messaging systems set up (as never used any of that before), so I am hoping you can make your suggestions very simple to understand and set up. I'm somewhat new to all this technology, but I am anxious to learn.

View 13 Replies View RelatedIn my quest to have a 3G connection on my new Milestone I first tried to connect to the AdHoc network running on my iPad but I found out that Android phones couldn't connect to AdHoc networks (see Enabling WiFi Adhoc on Milestone ?)...I'm now finding out that they can't connect to Bluetooth modems either...is that correct ? I saw messages saying that PDAnet enabled BT DUN but that's probably only to let other devices connect. I put my iPad AT&T microSIM card in the Milestone using an adapter but Amazon sell the Euro version so it means no 3G in the USA, either with T-Mobile or AT&T.

Im trying to send my contacts over bluetooth from my old sony ericsson but it doesnt seem to be going smoothly, i would say its all down to me! Basically i have got the bluetooth on for both phones, the desire is set to be discoverable and i try to send the contacts via bluetooth on the SE. I get the whole passcode and accept the file which i have done, but then it says again about accepting the file. Ive tried it a few times and i have 3 bluetooth icons at the top of my screen now which i imagine are for transferring files which need accepting. Is there anywhere i can to accept them or close them down?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am a die-hard Blackberry user but I'm gonna give the Droid a shot later this week,and I've been lurking around these forums for the last few days but I'd like to just get a couple of things confirmed before I take the leap.
1) I'm hearing and reading a lot about problems with yahoo email setup, even that some of the fixes/workarounds don't work. Anyone?
2) Does the Droid have true threaded text messaging?
3) What's the deal with notifications on the Droid? I really can't survive without my notifications (vibrations, sounds, blinking light) for missed calls/voicemails/emails/texts/calendar appts and I thought I read that the Droid doesn't really handle these very well...or at all.
4) This is a personal preference question but how are you guys dealing with the lack of physical send and end buttons?
The first couple of days i had my x i decided to keep using the charger from the tour to charge my x and just use my x charger as a usb sync cable to my computer. After a couple of days of going six hours on an over night charge and not being able to find a solution i decided to use the x charger instead and ended up getting 18 hours out of my battery. Im not sure if the BB charger was damaged or if it's just that the two chargers did not have similar ratings. But just thought i would throw that out there as there are many phones and devices that share a micro usb charge port now.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a set of "Anycom" stereo Bluetooth headphones, and when I try to connect them to my Incredible, the "pair" right away and the Inc recognizes them for what they are. The problem is all I get is a "Paired but not connected" message, under my Bluetooth settings. I hit "connect" and it does momentarily, then it goes back to that same message. I'm not getting the prompt for the "0000" pin input, which I think may be the problem as the headphones may be waiting for that to be inputted.

So I stared with the Java example http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/BluetoothChat/index.html. This is also using BT RFComm. If I'm using my HTC as a server it work's fine, but I would like to use my PC as a server. Then .connect() comes back with "Service Discovery Failure".

The tablet just doesn't see the device. (I already had this problem before I installed CM). Is there something I could change in order to make it visible to the tablet. Most people issues around this is that they don't pair when the device is visible. (I assume that it is not related to the CM)

1- If I first pair my phone with the device through Bluetooth Settings, no problem. The connection is made perfectly and the program works.

My gf's computer is going south, but all she really does is go online. If I were to find a way to connect her Evo to a monitor (this should be easy with and HDMI cable, right?), a mouse (bluetooth?), and a keyboard (can you do two bluetooth devices at the same time?), she'd be able to essentially have a computer when she docks her phone to all this, right?
But, does Andoid have an app and Evo the capability to bluetooth to a mouse and keyboard and is the HDMI cable the way to go to get the display on a spare monitor, or could I use the USB? Just thinking out loud here. Cell phone processors are fast enough to handle internet browsing and emailing, which is pretty much all she does, and the speed of the connection (we're in a 4G area) would make downloads fast. How could it be done?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running ICS (4.0.3) on a HTC EVO 3D and looking for an app that turn GPS on when connected to a specific bluetooth device (ie parrot in the car). Als it needs to turn Wifi off when connecting to that bluetooth device.
Now, the extra thing I would need is that it turn GPS off and Wifi on again when disconnected from the bluetooth device.
I have used A2dp volume, which turned GPS on, but not off...
Ive recently purchased the X10 and this is my first android phone. Im having a problem with the bluetooth function on it. It pairs and connects with new devices no problem and will connect with them again another once or twice , but after that it it states device paired but not connected. Has anyone else got this problem or advice ion how to solve it. My phone is still running on 1.6 as Im a bit nervous of upgrading to 2.1 when Im seeing all the problems people seem to be having with it.

It doesn't want to connect with my car and when it does want to connect I can't acces my phonebook or make calls. Nokia 301 connects fine with bluetooth.
When connecting with aux the sound is distant. Even on max volume it doesn't have a full sound.
Trying to connect PC Company via Blue tooth i get to the point where I enter a four digit code on the phone, then immediately receiving a message on my computer that connecting throe blue tooth is not possible, then urging me to use the USB cable. Blue tooth is activated on both items. I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop. Anyone having the same problem or solution to it?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a feeling my problem is the router and not my Droid, but I thoght I would try anyway.
I have 2 networks that I conenct to at my work. An open network and a secure one.
The open network, which has weak signal, I have no problem connecting to.
However, when I try to connect to the secure network, which i have great signal, I get "Disabled, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK". I am positive I have the right password.
The strange part is I have had my Droid for less than 2 weeks. Before I had an Eris and would connect to that network everyday without any problems. But have never been able to connect with my Droid once I dont think anything has changed with that router, but i cant say for sure.
Any ideas as to why the Droid wont connect? Unfortunately, i dont have access to the routers settings. Unless I really had to, i can try to access it early in the morning
