Got the phone, all bluetooth working just fine. Then my 2010 Jetta won't stay paired. Tried soft rest. Tried taking out battery. looked for updates. the best I get is a 5 sec connection and then disconnects. Now my ear bud wont stay connected ether. Any thoughts?

If I were to find a way to connect her Evo to a monitor (this should be easy with and HDMI cable, right?), a mouse (bluetooth?), and a keyboard (can you do two bluetooth devices at the same time?), she'd be able to essentially have a computer when she docks her phone to all this, right?
But, does Andoid have an app and Evo the capability to bluetooth to a mouse and keyboard and is the HDMI cable the way to go to get the display on a spare monitor, or could I use the USB? Just thinking out loud here. Cell phone processors are fast enough to handle internet browsing and emailing, which is pretty much all she does, and the speed of the connection (we're in a 4G area) would make downloads fast. How could it be done?
I've been trying to connect two Android devices (2.1) via TCP sockets.
The vital part of the code:

The weird thing is I can make it work if the client is an emulator, but the same code fails if running both of them on real devices.

My allview p5 (romanian branding phone made in china) stoped connectig via usb (not showing anything in the notification tray). I have tryed reflashing my rom but nothing. I only need it for root, the phone has s-off but no root also the recovery isn't realy good.

Yesterday my phone stopped connecting to facebook.It doesn't update in the people anymore, but does just fine with the fb app from the market.I thought maybe I did something to screw it up so I decided to reset the phone and start over.Now I have nothing linked to facebook and not sure if there is a setting I'm overlooking or not.When I go into the people app, and then try to link someone I know is a friend,it pulls up nobody for any option.Anyone else having an issue with this?Any suggestions for fixing this?I have tried syncing through the settings>account and syc. I'm running stock 2.1 so you all know.
View 13 Replies View RelatedThis used to work seamlessly but since the 2.2 update.Whenever i arrive home from work i turn wifi on and all connects well. If i then leave the house and return the wi-fi fails to reconnect automatically. This has only happened since i carried out the update and noticed someone else on another thread has exactly the same problem on vodafone eforum. Is there a solution? Currently i need to turn wi-fi off and back on again and it works, not the end of the world but a pain since it used to work so well! I've tried y5 to try and force it, to no avail and carried out a reset (not full factory just remove battery etc).

Play Store from the both devices shows I have no apps installed. When I go to the ALL tab I get the following message "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]". I get this on both devices. If I look at an app that I already purchased it shows that I have not purchased it. If I try to purchase it I get this message "Error retrieving information from server. [BM-PPH-01]". I can't install them to my devices from the play store via my PC either. I have tried clearing cache and data, deleting my Google account from phone and tablet then setting them up again. Date is correct on both devices.

Allshare video playback from other devices over wifi just stopped working. It was totally fine and I have absolutely no idea what happened. It still plays music and shows photos and all the files stored on external devices. The only problem is that it won't play video. It plays video stored locally or on sd card just fine, but when I want to play anything from my note 2 (n7105) or my pc's allshare app, video player shows error message: "Cannot play video. This video cannot be played".
It plays the same files just fine, when I copy them to the device, so I think it might be the case of some transcoding error. It is not a case of network settings - I've checked on 4 different wifi networks and it's the same everywhere. My note 2 works just fine on any wifi and plays all video from tablet or pc. Here is what I tried so far, with no results:
1. Restoring to factory defaults,
2. Wiping cache and dalvik cache,
3. Flashing fresh stock rom,
4. Erasing all allshare apps and video player data
N8020 & N7105 (JB 4.1.2 rooted + stock)
I have a set of "Anycom" stereo Bluetooth headphones, and when I try to connect them to my Incredible, the "pair" right away and the Inc recognizes them for what they are. The problem is all I get is a "Paired but not connected" message, under my Bluetooth settings. I hit "connect" and it does momentarily, then it goes back to that same message. I'm not getting the prompt for the "0000" pin input, which I think may be the problem as the headphones may be waiting for that to be inputted.

So I stared with the Java example http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/BluetoothChat/index.html. This is also using BT RFComm. If I'm using my HTC as a server it work's fine, but I would like to use my PC as a server. Then .connect() comes back with "Service Discovery Failure".
I have modified the UUID string in the Java example to match the PC-application

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is a silly issue, but its now driving me to distraction, My Jawbone pairs & connects without an issue, however I have a Nokia6822, & Blue & Me in my car, the Milestone will pair but not connect to either of these devices ( phone is on V2.1) even after entering verify code on each device ( The car generates a unique code for each device to be paired with it). Also the make device discoverable is only open for 120 seconds, is there a reason for this ?

The tablet just doesn't see the device. (I already had this problem before I installed CM). Is there something I could change in order to make it visible to the tablet. Most people issues around this is that they don't pair when the device is visible. (I assume that it is not related to the CM)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am running ICS (4.0.3) on a HTC EVO 3D and looking for an app that turn GPS on when connected to a specific bluetooth device (ie parrot in the car). Als it needs to turn Wifi off when connecting to that bluetooth device.
Now, the extra thing I would need is that it turn GPS off and Wifi on again when disconnected from the bluetooth device.
I have used A2dp volume, which turned GPS on, but not off...
I bought a stereo bluetooth receiver from DealExtreme for $13 so I could use it in my car. It has a built in mic, so if calls come in, I can pick them up, but I drive a convertible, so it's too noisy in the car to use that.
I also have a jawbone bluetooth headset that I use in the car...it works great for phone calls in a noisy enviroment.
I just discovered that if I go to Settings:Wireless Controls:Bluetooth Settings and long press on the BCK-08 (the stereo bluetooth module), I can select options, and uncheck the 'phone audio'.
Now, I can use both at the same time...and the cool thing is that if a call comes in while listening to music, it mutes the music till I hang up, then starts it back up where it left off!
I know there isn't bluetooth API in 1.0 SDK, but I have a doubt. I need to know the visible bluetooth devices. That is, I only need do a scan of the bluetooth devices and save the diferent addresses. I don't need connect to them.

I'm trying to setup bluetooth trusted devices on my Moto X so I don't have to unlock the phone when I'm near my computer, but for some reason, the bluetooth connection keeps disconnecting whenever the phone goes to sleep. I tried using my Jambox as a trusted device, and it worked fine.

It does show the wifi icon as if it IS connected, but whenever I open up the browser, or the market, or meebo etc. it acts as if it's not online. The market, for example, tells me that "A network error has occurred."Curiously, I do still get gmail notifications (I don't think that happened through my provider today, cause I'm on pay-as-you-go and all out of cash). My router is an awful BThomehub 2.0 which I can't change for a number of stupid reasons. I tried changing the channel on the router but no luck. Whenever I try to connect through using WeFi Connect, it tells me that it can't verify the connection. The only two apps I have which can fiddle with the wifi settings are the wifi on/off gadget and the aforementioned WeFi Connect, both of which I had when my wifi was still functional. Once again, I did not change any settings at all either on the router or the magic when my wifi stopped working properly.

It pairs and connects with new devices no problem and will connect with them again another once or twice , but after that it it states device paired but not connected. Has anyone else got this problem or advice ion how to solve it. My phone is still running on 1.6 as Im a bit nervous of upgrading to 2.1 when Im seeing all the problems people seem to be having with it.

It doesn't want to connect with my car and when it does want to connect I can't acces my phonebook or make calls. Nokia 301 connects fine with bluetooth.
When connecting with aux the sound is distant. Even on max volume it doesn't have a full sound.
