Dec 15, 2009I'm not sure if it's the phone or the bluetooth headset that's doing it, but whenever they connect, the phone will redial the last number.(no buttons pressed)

Feb 3, 2013I am running ICS (4.0.3) on a HTC EVO 3D and looking for an app that turn GPS on when connected to a specific bluetooth device (ie parrot in the car). Als it needs to turn Wifi off when connecting to that bluetooth device.
Now, the extra thing I would need is that it turn GPS off and Wifi on again when disconnected from the bluetooth device.
I have used A2dp volume, which turned GPS on, but not off...

Suspected bluetooth getting "pressed" when stuffed in my purse - bur can't replicate (make it happen on purpose.)
Have tried changing settings - no luck.
Something about putting Droid & bluetooth in purse makes 6 redials +++ happen.
Motorola Droid X : Wifi Not Auto Connecting / How To Fix?
Aug 1, 2010When I turn on wifi it won't connect to my remembered network unless I go into wifi setting. Anyone else having this problem? Also when I get a call the bluetooth button on the bottom left won't turn bluetooth on. I guess it just tells you if its connected but it really should turn it on and connect.

Sep 29, 2010When I first got my X it allowed me to manually choose to connect to wifi but lately it just auto connects and I cant turn it off if im in a wifi area. This puts a huge drain on my battery. I'd prefer to have the OPTION to connect to wifi if/when i want to and to use the 3G network otherwise. Any idea how I can address this issue? (I did recently install Launcher Pro. Not sure if that has anything to do w/ it but figured id mention it)

Jun 3, 2010This is a silly issue, but its now driving me to distraction, My Jawbone pairs & connects without an issue, however I have a Nokia6822, & Blue & Me in my car, the Milestone will pair but not connect to either of these devices ( phone is on V2.1) even after entering verify code on each device ( The car generates a unique code for each device to be paired with it). Also the make device discoverable is only open for 120 seconds, is there a reason for this ?

Aug 1, 2010For some reason my wifi no longer connects to my home network automatically. I need to go in to the wireless settings then in to the wifi settings menu itself, where I'll see my network "Not in range-remembered" for a second and then it'll connect itself. It wasn't like this a few days ago, and I don't think this happens at the 2 other wireless networks I frequent, I'll try and remember to check tomorrow when I drop off my son at the in-laws.
I deleted the network and added it back in, still no auto connect. I rebooted the phone and it connected once, then after I turned off wifi and turned it back on, it went back to needing a manual connect, which it really isn't even that. It just doesnt want to connect unless I go in to the wifi settings.

Sep 18, 2010In my quest to have a 3G connection on my new Milestone I first tried to connect to the AdHoc network running on my iPad but I found out that Android phones couldn't connect to AdHoc networks (see Enabling WiFi Adhoc on Milestone ?)...I'm now finding out that they can't connect to Bluetooth modems either...is that correct ? I saw messages saying that PDAnet enabled BT DUN but that's probably only to let other devices connect. I put my iPad AT&T microSIM card in the Milestone using an adapter but Amazon sell the Euro version so it means no 3G in the USA, either with T-Mobile or AT&T.

Oct 26, 2010This is my first post, after reading helpful posts for many months. I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop the Desire/android from automatically connecting to specific wifi networks. I have a wifi network at home which I want the phone to always connect to when in range. I also have a wifi network at work, that I only want to connect to from time to time to update the calendar and download emails. Currently I have to turn off wifi when at work until I need it, but I've had this working before. I'm on my second Desire as the Orange 2.2 update fubar'd the first , my first phone would always ask me if I wanted to connect to the works wifi, the new one just connects straight away, and it will only be a matter of time before my twitter app gets me into trouble.

Jun 1, 2010I have a set of "Anycom" stereo Bluetooth headphones, and when I try to connect them to my Incredible, the "pair" right away and the Inc recognizes them for what they are. The problem is all I get is a "Paired but not connected" message, under my Bluetooth settings. I hit "connect" and it does momentarily, then it goes back to that same message. I'm not getting the prompt for the "0000" pin input, which I think may be the problem as the headphones may be waiting for that to be inputted.

So i have that checked off for like 80+% of my 80+ apps (that took a while to do let me tell you). Now i have had three apps have updates available since i checked off the box, yet they never actually automatically updated. I waited, hours, still never updated. Is there a setting i need to modify? Do i need to tell it what time of day to do it? Anyone else noticing this? I only really want it in apps that i don't care about reading the new features. But it is annoying that i have it enabled and it does nothing.

May 29, 2010My gf's computer is going south, but all she really does is go online. If I were to find a way to connect her Evo to a monitor (this should be easy with and HDMI cable, right?), a mouse (bluetooth?), and a keyboard (can you do two bluetooth devices at the same time?), she'd be able to essentially have a computer when she docks her phone to all this, right?
But, does Andoid have an app and Evo the capability to bluetooth to a mouse and keyboard and is the HDMI cable the way to go to get the display on a spare monitor, or could I use the USB? Just thinking out loud here. Cell phone processors are fast enough to handle internet browsing and emailing, which is pretty much all she does, and the speed of the connection (we're in a 4G area) would make downloads fast. How could it be done?

It pairs and connects with new devices no problem and will connect with them again another once or twice , but after that it it states device paired but not connected. My phone is still running on 1.6 as Im a bit nervous of upgrading to 2.1 when Im seeing all the problems people seem to be having with it.

Aug 30, 2010Trying to connect PC Company via Blue tooth i get to the point where I enter a four digit code on the phone, then immediately receiving a message on my computer that connecting throe blue tooth is not possible, then urging me to use the USB cable. Blue tooth is activated on both items. I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop. Anyone having the same problem or solution to it?
