My phone came stock with 2.1 and I have upgraded to 2.2 and now would like to go back to stock. Is there an RSDLite file that will flash my phone back to original state? I know there is a 2.0.1 sbf file on the forums, but I'd like to get a 2.1 file if possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to root my phone from stock OTA 2.1 update-1. I've followed all the guides I've been able to get my hands on. The only thing stopping me is that RSDlite is not detecting my phone when it's in Bootloader. Everything on the flash screen says that it's good to go. I've installed all the drivers and the PC does detect the Motorola Flash Device. I tried using 2 different computers, one with XP SP3 and one with Vista (ran as admin), and nothing on both. I've spent hours searching the web for similar problems and solution, I've tried just about everything and I'm about to lose it. Any one else experience something like this? Any tips on something that could fix this issue?

Does the X use a FAT32 file system? Is there any way to change this? I'm asking because I have a 4+GB mkv file I want to put on it, but I'm getting a message telling me its too large for the file system. If no way to change, then can anyone suggest a way to make this file small enough to fit?

Well after I longpressed the su file and selected move, I went back to /system/xbin to paste it. I selected paste and it told me that I "Cannot paste here because the file system is read only." What? Is no one else having this issue?

View 8 Replies View RelatedEmailed myself an excel file. I have already installed Shead Spreet Pro (excel editor). After I opened up the email in gmail, I previewed the excel file (wouldn't/couldn't use Shead Spreet) but could not download it to the phone.
The more I use this phone the more I feel helpless using gmail.
You can't search all gmail accounts at once...etc...etc.
You have to so many gmail limitation, I can't believe how much better my Blackberry took care of gmail.
I downloaded a wallpaper image from Deviant Arts, and set it as the background. Ever since, I get a notification that the image is downloaded, like every 4-5 hours, for the past week. The last rom i used was apex and i was able to use the terminal to push it but the terminals on the app market wont do it. Do i need to change permissions so it will show up in my app drawer?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a PDF file to my Droid.I can see that it is in the "Downloads" folder when I mount the Droid to my laptop via the USB.My question is, how do I access this file from the phone?I can't get to the directory to try to open it.I can access the PDF through my Gmail account using the Preview option. However, I wanted to save the file to the SD card. So, I searched this and another forum on how to do that and the only way I could find was to access my gmail account through the browser and download. I did this and the file was put in the Downloads folder on the SD.How do you access the Downloads directory and for that matter, any directory that you may want to create on the SD?

I pulled the battery and restarted and now the phone (Droid X) freezes upon startup when it tried to load the card. I suspect that the song I downloaded is messing it up. (Even though the download manager through Amazon says everything id fine)When I open my music player, I cannot find the third song. But when I look up through my 'file' app, I can fund it on my SD card, right where it is supposed to be. The problem is that these downloaded songs are sometimes misspelled, mislabled, the genre & other info isn't filled in at all, and or the album info is missing or incorrect.The result with a great audio player app like "3" (my favorite so far) is that I might have 35 Tom Petty songs, but because album info is missing on so many of them, the app has them dispersed among 22 different albums! Very annoying. (This happened after telling "3" to search for album art.) Then there's the "Unknown Atrist" catagory where I'll no doubt find another stray TP song, etc.What I'm looking for is another app that gives me a GUI that allows me to edit all of the tag data for music files in my library. Preferably it should have a search function so that I could type in "Tom Petty", for example, and all songs by him would come up so I could comb through and edit data for each one I choose,
