Does the X use a FAT32 file system? Is there any way to change this? I'm asking because I have a 4+GB mkv file I want to put on it, but I'm getting a message telling me its too large for the file system. If no way to change, then can anyone suggest a way to make this file small enough to fit?

So I used the DVD Catalyst software to make a movie file the DX will play, Works great but do I need to worry about these files being so big? I know there are file compressors out there but I don't know if it affects the movie play or not.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIm trying to get the 3G mobile hotspot back on my phone and im using rubix. I have mynet.apk in my system/app folder but its not showing up in my apps list. The last rom i used was apex and i was able to use the terminal to push it but the terminals on the app market wont do it. Do i need to change permissions so it will show up in my app drawer?

I'm going to be in an area with most likely no wifi but I'm pretty sure I should have solid EVDO and I need to upload videos, just wanted to know the maximum file size/length for youtube videos and if there's a way to bypass the limit (I really don't care if I ring up 1.5 gigs of data).

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy brother just bought a Milestone and he's having problems with the SD card (8gb). What happens is that he put some music on his phone, and with the program Ringdroid, began to cut some songs. Then, the phone began to crash, he restarted it. After restarting, the device didn't recognize the memory, saying "Blank sd card or unsupported system", occasionally rebooting, indicates that it was removed. I have looked in other threads and google it, but found nothing useful. I can't unmount or format it from the phone. And as I have the G1, I put my card (that works) on Milestone and got the same problem, so I think it's not the SD. I've already formatted it, nothing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedCan somebody explain to me what makes up the installed application size? I have an apk that is about 8 MB, and often when I install I get the INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE error. I have around 25-30 MB free space on the phone. I'm doing debugging so I have to upload lots of new versions. If I uninstall the previous version then I can install the new version. The application manager claims that the app is taking up 22 MB. So back to the original question, how come the app is taking up 22 MB when it really only is 8 MB?
View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know the maximum file size you can copy to your SD card via USB.I have tried to put a couple movies on there, and avi files that are about 700mb work fine, but if I try to put a 4GB video on there, it gives me a error instantly saying something about invalid paramater.The card is the stock 8gb one that came with the phone, and it was not even close to being full when I tried this.

Take a movie or a photo doesn't matter and try to share regardless of option and anything under 3mb goes it seems. Anyhting over gets "queued waiting for WiFi connection".Little upset with this as the Sprint peeps have no clue I'm not completely stupid and I can't figure it out. And frankly I'm paying for the hotsopt ability plus the extra charge for access to 4g, i live in a 4g market, Austin Texas I should be able to upload anything any size any time.

When I run the default app created while creating a project, the .apk file size is about 5K and it runs ok. When I try to run a real app which uses other application libraries so that the total size is about 325K, I get the following error: Failed to upload Benchmark.apk on device 'emulator-5554' java.io.IOException: Unable to upload file: timeout Launch canceled! I had increased the heap size of emulator to 64 MB and RAM size to 192 MB.
