I downloaded a wallpaper image from Deviant Arts, and set it as the background. Ever since, I get a notification that the image is downloaded, like every 4-5 hours, for the past week. I've removed the wallpaper, then I deleted the image file from my Droid. No luck, the notification still appears (the file does not seem to be downloaded, however.

View 15 Replies View RelatedFor 2 days my battery has been draining quickly. This morning it is dead in less than 4 hours. I sent four texts. Checking battery usage, this is what I found: com.android.launcher - 46%, Beautiful Widget (just uninstalled) - 37%. I have never noticed these processes taking up so much battery. Background: I have been receiving a low storage notice so I deleted some apps, texts and pictures and plugged in for the night. The next morning the severe battery drain began. I was concerned about shorter battery life after the latest update so I have recently changed my settings to lower frequency for refreshing email, etc.

Display is always on lowest setting possible but battery usage for display is well over 50. Only lasting 8-12 hours. First 10% drains in 10 minutes. Wtf!!! Overclock widget hasn't helped. And haven't tried setcpu. No credit card. So does setcpu improve battery life dramatically? Never had a problem with battery life before rooted Froyo. Ne suggestions? I just saw a new SS rom and new Chevy kernel. Anyone have any luck with them yet?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe droid as two email apps built in that I see. One is for gmail only and the other for any other email out there (excluding yahoo). The other one also one can be setup to use as a gmail account. What is the benefit to setting up the gmail app to only gmail and not just putting gmail on the other one so all you email accounts are displayed in one location? Do both of the settings push the gmail to your phone or does your phone have to fetch on one of the settings? Also, is there a way to set up your email to only fetch once every 12 or 24 hours? I think the only options I see is up to 1 hr or manually.

I put it in the car dock to and from the Mann center last night, took some pics and played lightly online. forgot to plug it in before I went to bed last night, and now at 11am, im @ 15%.Do i have a battery drain app on here or something? Maybe it was my GPS? just noticed i forgot to turn that off after exiting the car?

We both let the battery run down completely before charging it up (which I was told by the Verizon rep was the "way to go"), and we have both been experiencing GOD AWFUL battery life. Strange battery behavior has included (but has not been limited to):
- Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours straight of browsing, playing games, etc., followed by the Battery going from 100% to 5% after 5.5 hours of idle (with light texting and a few quick phone calls mixed in). Seemingly no consistency.
- Battery draining down to around 30% after about 8 hours off-charger with light to moderate use (a few web pages, a few apps downloaded, and about half a dozen texts). If this wasn't annoying enough, shortly after reaching 30%, the phone suddenly took a nosedive into the red, and warned me that I had 5% battery remaining.................
Is there a way to turn off only email notifications during off peak hours ex 10pm-7am? I still want my phone to ring if someone calls or text but when I get stupid spam emails at 2am the notification wakes me or my wife up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to rooted 2.2, I noticed that if I receive a text message at 10:18, it shows that I got it at 6:18 when I pull down the notification bar. When I click on it and go into text messages it shows the correct time though. Anyone else experience this? It's these minor things that are frustrating to me.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI manually installed the FRG01B update yesterday. And since doing so, I have noticed a ridiculously steep drop in battery life. Do I need to be running FRG22? Is that available to download manually, if so? I also know that I don't have the version of Facebook that was causing battery drainage. ATK didn't seem to help at all (it might have even made it worse). Is there anything I can do to vastly improve battery life? It would be great if I could get the phone's battery to last at least 24 hours. I already uninstalled ATK, by the way.

Right now if I am using my phone for browsing, video, etc. it will run the battery from full charge to dead in just under 4 hours. If I just leave the phone turned on but with no apps running (standby) it runs out of power in roughly 48 hours. Is this the battery life I should expect from this phone?

It seems that most times (but not every time) that my phone reboots all the songs that Google music had pinned and downloaded need to be re-downloaded. I've tried wiping cache for google music & even uninstalling the app, but this problem continues to occur.
I am running Project Elite ROM, but when I noticed the problem, I switched back to a nandroid backup of CM7 I had, and the problem was still occuring. I've noticed that the Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music/ folder on my SDcard is empty when this occurs, but I'm not sure when/why it is getting emptied.
I'm having an issue on my i9300.
I keep songs from Google Play on my device so I can listen offline.
But whenever it "keeps requested music" it seems like its redownloading the entire playlist over again, not just songs I just added to the playlist. It's like it deleted the playlist I had, and is redownloading it again.
I regretted moving to android from iOS. Here's my problem , after i accidentally remove google account from my phone and after i re-added my google account back to the phone , my phone keep redownload deleted apps . I tried to disable google sync like google drive and data and samsung backup and even disabled backup on my phone but its still not working. I also tried to go play store but i can't find anythings thats related to the problem .I deleted the deleted apps 5 times but after i deleted it , my phone keep redownload it back from play store. Is this a new malware ?
Im using Samsung S4 i9500 and I'm running latest firmware android kit lat 4.4.2 and no root.
Does the X use a FAT32 file system? Is there any way to change this? I'm asking because I have a 4+GB mkv file I want to put on it, but I'm getting a message telling me its too large for the file system. If no way to change, then can anyone suggest a way to make this file small enough to fit?

Next I got a notice about an available Android update, which I accepted. Downloading the update went smooth (via WiFi). But then my phone asked to reboot to install updates. Now I'm seeing the same screen 'cycle' for three hours. I see the Android guy with some blue geometrical shapes in his belly. Under that guy there's a status bar and the text 'installing update'. The status bar moves to a certain point, seems to freeze and then jumps towards the end. Next the screen goes black for a second and then the same cycle repeats itself.

My battery keeps getting really hot (goes up to 105 degrees) and drains in about 2 hours. I've tried swapping it with a battery from another eris but it still happens so I know it's not the battery. I'm using the eris official v.1 rom. This happened on our other phone when I was using plain Jane rom so I flashed that one to eris official and it works great. I have the app killer set and everything seems to be turned off.
