Motorola Droid :: Analog Time On Docking Station
Feb 11, 2010
I've had this Motorola Droid for almost 3 weeks, and pretty good so far, with a few things I'd like to work around. First, when I put it into the dock/'multimedia' thing, I would like more options than where my weather comes from. It needs, nay, begs, for analog clock! If anyone knows a way or an app, please let me know.

IF you are using the docking station as an alarm clock, how do you turn off the alerts - all I want on are the alarm clock and the ringer for the phone. I do not want to hear text or email alerts coming in all night long. Anyway to silence these individually?

I simply love my docking station for my DROID.but I also want to protect my fone while on the go from any accidents so I also want a protective case for it.The case I bought won't let me put it in the docking station in the case. IS there any fone protection that will allow me to put it in the station without having to take it out of the every time?I would think this would make the case not stay on so well from repeatedly taking it off and putting it back on.The case I bought, unfortunately, did not come with screen protection like I thought it would. It's simply an empty front. Therefore does anybody have a suggestion as to what case covers the whole thing to avoid screen scratches?

I have seen the video and pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S (International edition) docking station and it looks so nice! Check out the Official Samsung Galaxy S international website and you will notice the docking station at the beginning and end of the video. Click on the bubble of the last part of the video and you will see a large picture and explanation of the docking station (http://galaxys.samsungmobile.com/)I was wondering if anyone has heard if the US versions of the Galaxy S will be getting any docking stations of their own? Here is my personal view The docking station must connect via the micro usb which judging by the pictures appears slides into the left side of the dock rather than straight down From watching video of all four of the samsung galaxy s variants for the US it is apparent that the micro usb port is located on the top of the phone as is the international version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXuUi8PTkvM&feature=player_embedded

A few months ago I had a TG01 and after a bit of surfing the net i came upon a web site that showed a homemade docking station for the Toshiba, I now have a Hero and for the life of me cant remember the name of the site (It had a iphone in the background which someone wittingly commented wanting to know what that "Thing" was (the iphone) if thats any help) the docking station was a universal one i think so i was going to have a go at making one, sorry no lego bricks here

Does the Captivate have a docking station or cradle that will work with it like the international Galaxy S has from Samsung? Or will the original cradle work with the Captivate?

has anyone yet tried a docking station? If so, does it work well? Do you think it wears the battery down? I only found the Paserro Docckingstation for Tattoo so far and I would like to read some reviews first. Also any idea for a docking station clock? I think Bedside looks nice, but I'm not sure if there are more apps like this one.

Does the small analog clock (#2 in the HTC clock widgets) still have issues with it showing the wrong time? Or is it just my phone? It shows the right location, but the time is 6 hours off

I like interesting talk combined with nu metal and hard rock, maybe some news thrown in here and there. Any good stations available in radio time like that?

Is there a way to get the 2.1 Analog Clock without rooting? I don't think it comes with Launcher2, but I was just curious because I like the look of it.

I left the USB cable that came with my phone at the office, so i decided to try and use a generic cable that i had lying around to transfer files from my computer to my phone (with the help of a micro USB adaptor). However, when plugged up to my computer, it only charges the phone but does not give me the option to mount the SD card as it does when i use the Motorola cable. The generic cable i have came with my external hard drive, and i've been able to use it to transfer files to multiple devices with no problems. I thought all USB cables were pretty much the same, so did Motorola put something like a chip in the cable to get people to buy OEM?

Is there a way to set the background image for docking mode? When I first set it in the dock, my image appears briefly (and rotated), but quickly changes to the default. I'd really like to change it.

I can't figure out but when my phone is in the dock station the sun is out at night and the moon is out during the day.I've manually set my location so GPS isn't always running, it didn't find the closest weather station to me anyway. It shows the right temp etc., and when I click on the temp it brings up current info w/the correct time but my dang display is backwards! Anyone else show the sun out all night or am I just special?

So has anybody found a slim case that you can have on your Droid while mounted in the media station of GPS car mount? I currently have the invisible shield on my droid but i'm debating about taking it off for a standard case.

I just started using Pandora on my Droid and have a couple questions:
1.) Is there any way to view all the songs that have played on the station I created?
2.) If I accidentally hit the "thumbs down" icon on a song can I somehow go back and change that?
I listened to ~20 songs before I noticed the "bookmark" feature and didn't write a bunch of the good ones down... and I also hit the dislike button accidentally on a really good song but can't remember the name

MotoDroid 2.2. Since 2.2, the auto-rotate screen goes haywire from time to time. I normally use the vertical format, easier to type, but when it switches, not much screen left, and I have to go back and back to start over again.

I'll be getting a new Eris in a couple of weeks and am very excited!I have a question that is kind of random, but I have always liked the very cool 'flip' animation on the analog clock in the Sense UI when the time changes.I was watching this vid that compares the three 'Hero' phones and I noticed that the only phone that showed an animation was the original Hero. The other two did not actually flip when the number changed. Can the flip animation be turned on and off, or does the Eris simply not have a clock animation for some reason?

Is there anyway I can make my Right Thumbstick on my controller act like it's pressing letters, rather then a proper analog stick? (i.e. if I move the Right Thumbstick around in a circle, then I want to see letters come up, as if I were typing them.)
I've been trying to use USB/BT Joystick Center for this, but I'm having a little trouble. When I bring up the edit mode, while in the DS emulator the app still treats the right thumbstick as a proper analog stick, even though I re-mapped the right stick in the main app to letters (R stick UP-M, R stick RIGHT- N, R stick - DOWN O, R stick - LEFT P)
Are there any apps that will allow me to map keystrokes to a analog stick, and be able to emulate virtual on screen controls for games, and emulators?
